00:00Ah, that's it, so that won't fall in. Right, water safety. First thing you need to do whenever you get near a body of water is stop and think.
00:15Have a look. If you look at this pool now, what can you see? Everyone turn around and look at the pool. What can you see that's dangerous?
00:26Anybody, shout it out. The floor, there's a really big one, begins with a W. Water, nice and loud. What do you think is dangerous in a swimming pool? Water!
00:39Right, so you stop and think. Also, you have a look round, look at the depth. So you never get in water until you know that you can touch the pool.
00:51The next one is you always go with a friend or family, you stay together. That way if someone gets in trouble, there's someone to be able to get help.
01:01What number do you need to ring if someone's in trouble? 999. And who do you ask for? Not ghostbusters before someone says it. Fire service, correct.
01:16Right, and the last one is what we're going to practice today, is the self-rescue of Float to Live. If Perry could show me a nice big star float, like that.
01:31That's a star float, we're going to practice that. So if everybody wants to sit on the edge, slide yourself in. Right, first thing I want you to do, try not to fall over, is run right to the other end and go.
