केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव जयपुर दौरे पर गांधीनगर रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंचे। यहां उन्होंने 'कवच' प्रणाली के उपकरणों की जानकारी ली। इस दौरान उन्होंने अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों से भी बातचीत की और रेलवे में हो रही प्रगति की सराहना की। उन्होंने यहां बन रहे रूफ प्लाजा के बारे में भी जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि ऐसे रूफ प्लाजा सभी रेलवे स्टेशनों पर बनेंगे। इसके प्रथम तल पर यात्री ट्रेन की प्रतीक्षा करेंगे, उनके बच्चों के लिए खेलने की भी व्यवस्था होगी, किताबें वगैरह भी खरीद सकेंगे। ट्रेन आने से पहले एक एस्केलेटर के जरिए वे प्लेटफॉर्म पर पहुंच जाएंगे।
