Multiple Hezbollah rockets launched from Lebanon were intercepted over Israel's northern city of Haifa on Monday.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing dozens of rockets at Israel, including military bases, while also targeting the Rafael defense firm’s facilities in Haifa for a second consecutive day. No damage or casualties were reported.

On Monday, the Israeli military reported hitting over 1,600 Hezbollah-linked targets, expanding its operations to the Bekaa Valley near Lebanon’s eastern border.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported 558 casualties from the strikes so far, including 50 children and 94 women. The Israeli military urged civilians to evacuate areas it identified as Hezbollah weapons storage sites.

Hezbollah began its rocket attacks a day after the deadly October 7 Hamas assault, saying it aimed to tie down Israeli forces to support Palestinian fighters in Gaza.
