00:00In the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful.
00:04Mr. President, addressing today's and tomorrow's
00:09challenges demands collaboration rooted in
00:13justice and integrity.
00:16Let us build a just and thriving future for our
00:21children.
00:23The central focus of this joint effort is to
00:25highlight the role and status of the United
00:28Nations as a symbol of multilateralism and to
00:32promote respect for the goals and principles of
00:35its charter.
00:37The Islamic Republic of Iran has in the past
00:40expressed its views on the pact for the future.
00:45Our collaborative efforts for the future should
00:49focus on reinforcing the multilateral system to
00:53effectively tackle fundamental challenges
00:57like war, discrimination, poverty, and hunger.
01:02The role of culture and family values, the
01:04necessity of intergenerational dialogue
01:07to preserve cultural values, and the attention
01:11to the role of women, girls, and youth, as well
01:14as their empowerment, are undeniable.
01:18The priorities of my administration at the
01:20national level include a focus on health, public
01:24education, public welfare, social security,
01:28creating equal opportunities, and
01:31reducing various forms of inequality, fair income
01:35distribution, strengthening and consolidating the
01:39family institution, reducing poverty and
01:42discrimination, expanding social justice, empowering
01:46women and youth, and fostering the enjoyment
01:49of a sustainable environment.
01:51Mr. President, achieving peace and development
01:56require respect for the right to development of
02:00nations, attention to their development
02:02priorities and cultural nuances, adherence to
02:06principles of fairness and solidarity, and the
02:09fulfillment of commitments by developed countries
02:12towards developing nations.
02:16Unilateral sanctions have hindered progress toward
02:19sustainable development goals and must be
02:21addressed in any document prepared for the future.
02:27I propose to the U.N.
02:28Secretary General, in collaboration with
02:31countries affected by unilateral sanctions,
02:35present a comprehensive report on this matter to
02:37the General Assembly.
02:39We call for the urgent reforms in the governance
02:42structure of international financial institutions to
02:45ensure the participation of developing countries in
02:49decision-making and norm-setting, creating a
02:53fair and accountable framework to address the
02:56financial needs of developing nations.
03:01The Pact for the Future of the Global Digital Compact
03:05should contribute to reducing the digital
03:08divide between the global north and south,
03:12particularly through the transfer of new
03:14technologies, capacity-building, and
03:16removing barriers.
03:20Equal and effective participation of the global
03:23south countries in the governance of the Internet
03:26and artificial intelligence, respect for
03:29national laws, and addressing monopolistic
03:33practices are essential imperatives.
03:37Dear colleagues, we call for a world free of nuclear
03:42weapons and a Middle East free of weapons of mass
03:45destruction without any preconditions.
03:51As a victim of terrorism, we have always been at the
03:54forefront of the fight against this vile
03:58phenomenon and are ready to cooperate with countries
04:01genuinely seeking to combat terrorism.
04:05Iran seeks a strong, secure, and stable region
04:09where the resources of the countries can be used for
04:13mutual benefit in advancing economic and social
04:16progress and addressing common challenges.
04:21In a world where civilians in Gaza are ruthlessly
04:25killed, state-sponsored terrorism brutally targets
04:29children and women, and genocide and assassination
04:33are supported, no document will guarantee peace and
04:38development.
04:40The end of occupation, the cessation of apartheid in
04:43Palestine, and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza are
04:46prerequisites for global development and peace.
04:49The Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to work with
04:52other countries to achieve common global goals.
