00:00The Senate approved the bill that will provide a value-added tax of VAT refund to tourists.

00:06Under the bill, the VAT refund will be given to tourists who will buy local products that will not be deducted from the 3,000 pesos.

00:14In March 2023, the same bill was approved by the Camera.

00:19According to the House Waste and Means Committee, they will recommend that the Senate adopt the Camera version

00:24to speed up the adoption of the bill.

00:27Lawmakers hope that this will generate a large amount of revenue for the government

00:31because tourists who will buy local products will be more eager to buy them.
