Several people travelled from all over Yorkshire to take part in the World Gurning Championships, at the Crab Fair in Egremont, Cumbria on Saturday, September 21.

Hannah Patten, 35, from Leeds, Millie Douce, 31, from Sherburn in Elmet, and Thom Lyne 40, from Leeds, all entered the competition at the world's oldest fair.

Guinness World Record holder, Tommy Mattison, won the World Gurning Championships for the 19th time.
