00:00:30I'm gonna knock you all out. I'm gonna knock the roof out.
00:00:35I got my legs, they can't get tall. This is a wrap for Lucha Libre.
00:00:41Watch it, that's not my hair.
00:00:44Oh, almost there. That is perfect.
00:00:47Yorkov opens his doors to Lucha Libre as Rampro presents professional wrestling at its best.
00:00:55Fantastica Mania comes to life for the first time as we welcome royalty of Mexican wrestling.
00:01:04And we bring them in with the top stars of European wrestling today.
00:01:09Welcome everybody to Fantastica Mania 2024.
00:01:14This is the afternoon show. I am David Francisco.
00:01:17Yes, the centerpiece, David Francisco.
00:01:20And I am joined by Lord Gideon Gray.
00:01:24Can I say, David, there's no one I'd rather be here with me on commentary.
00:01:28Thank you very, very much for stepping in to fill those.
00:01:31Good afternoon and welcome to Revolution Pro Wrestling in collaboration with CMLL for Fantastica Mania 2024.
00:01:49Now, Yorkov, I have only one question for you.
00:01:56Are you ready?
00:02:01Gideon, I appreciate it being nice. I don't believe you.
00:02:03I'm sure there's people that you would rather be here sitting here next to me.
00:02:06I mean, not really, David. I'm not going to lie to you.
00:02:09I don't get along with a lot of people. It's surprising.
00:02:11Next is a women's division singles match with a 30 minute time limit.
00:02:16Schedule 414.
00:02:20Introducing to the ring, first.
00:02:25Well, you're here with me and why not.
00:02:28I'm very happy to be here with you guys as well.
00:02:31As we welcome one of the top wrestlers in the country right now.
00:02:36Dare I say, one of my favorite women wrestlers in the country right now.
00:02:40Do you think she can do it? I think it's yes, she can, Gideon.
00:02:49Battling out for a few years with an injury to her arm that actually made her stronger.
00:02:57And got her ready for 10 slashes that she's having here at Yorkov today.
00:03:01She's facing one of the top women in the world right now.
00:03:05As we open up for Dusk of 802024.
00:03:08Setting up the stage for what's going to be an afternoon and an evening.
00:03:13Of great sharing of culture and action.
00:03:19And a celebration of professional wrestling at it's best here with Red Bull and CMLL.
00:03:24Are you excited Gideon Gray?
00:03:26Making her way into the ring.
00:03:30He is not man's own country.
00:03:37David let me tell you if I had a pulse by now I would surely be racing today.
00:03:43What an incredible line up and incredible series of match ups we have here.
00:03:49And a hell of a way to kick proceedings off today.
00:03:53You are awfully nice today.
00:03:56I appreciate it, you're just in a nice mood because you have a difference.
00:03:59You're sharing the mood with someone else.
00:04:04I always try to set a good even tone at the beginning of each proceedings.
00:04:09Let's see how we go.
00:04:19The York Hall of Relay Rocks.
00:04:22And Stephanie Mcgurn.
00:04:24Andrew.
00:04:27The referee for the very first time.
00:04:31Multiple times champion.
00:04:34Including in CMLL New Japan.
00:04:37Making her way into the ring.
00:04:42Stephanie Mcgurn.
00:04:48And now she steps into the center of the referee ring.
00:04:52It's York Hall celebrating the arrival of one of the top wrestlers in the world.
00:04:59Although the fact that Kenji is maybe a surprise to Stephanie Mcgurn.
00:05:06Maybe a big factor in the way that this match is going to go forward.
00:05:10Gideon, what do you think Kenji needs to do to take the advantage over the champion?
00:05:14Listen, the advantage here for someone that's not a champion in wrestling.
00:05:18And trust me, I've had plenty of experience not being a champion in wrestling, David.
00:05:22The advantage is nobody knows what to expect from you.
00:05:26You can go in with a completely novel game plan that the champion has never seen before.
00:05:31If you go in knowing their strengths.
00:05:33Knowing your strengths.
00:05:34Knowing their weaknesses.
00:05:35Knowing your weaknesses.
00:05:36But hiding those weaknesses from the champion.
00:05:39You're in with a good shot.
00:05:41Anybody can beat anybody on a given night.
00:05:44And hopefully Kenji will have come in here with a game plan to do just that.
00:05:48Did you see them starting the match with a handshake?
00:05:50Absolutely.
00:05:51Honestly, listen.
00:05:54We have opinions on that.
00:05:56This is not the time to preach them, but come on.
00:05:59Yeah.
00:06:00I can see Stephanie Mcgurn coming in with a power advantage.
00:06:03We saw that waist lock takedown earlier.
00:06:05Also, training in a traditional Javier style in all disciplines of professional wrestling.
00:06:10Kenji may not have the size advantage, but the one thing she'll be able to bring is hard hitting strikes.
00:06:16Innovative offense.
00:06:19One of the most creative wrestlers that I've seen in the ring here in the UK is Kenji.
00:06:24As they start exchanging holds.
00:06:28And it is rocking here at York Hall.
00:06:31Thank you very much for joining RefPro here on RefPro On Demand.
00:06:35It's one of two shows that we're going to have today.
00:06:39That was a rare form of mistake there by Kenji.
00:06:41She was going for that switch into the side headlock.
00:06:44And she just left just enough room for Stephanie Vakka to manage to slip behind, grab the arm, get back in control.
00:06:50Now Stephanie fully in control with that leg scissors around the head of Kenji.
00:06:54Kenji, though, looking to switch it up.
00:06:56Going for that ankle hold on Stephanie Vakka.
00:06:59No, not able to secure it firmly enough.
00:07:02And Stephanie working her way into the front face lock.
00:07:05Great job on positioning there by Kenji as well.
00:07:07As soon as she had the ankle lock, pressuring Stephanie forward, making sure that they stay away from the ropes.
00:07:12Absolutely. And that's really something of what you have to do in wrestling.
00:07:17You've got to manipulate your opponent, not just physically, but psychologically as well.
00:07:21This stage of the match as well, especially when you're wrestling someone that you haven't wrestled before.
00:07:25It's so important for you to really understand the dynamic of what is going to be this match you're having with this person.
00:07:33If you don't know what's going to happen, you're going to have to...
00:07:36And you rush in, you make a mistake that you won't be able to recover from.
00:07:40And Stephanie here...
00:07:42Smart, smart, smart, smart.
00:07:44Realizing...
00:07:46Listen, Stephanie realizes that Kenji can go fold for hold for her, looking for an advantage.
00:07:55I am certain Stephanie is used to be dominant in the ring, but this is a big challenge she has in front of her.
00:08:01And your call is not happy.
00:08:03Listen, you don't have to make people happy as long as you're effective.
00:08:07And you can 100% say that she's effective.
00:08:09We saw Stephanie Vakiu come in with three different championship title belts.
00:08:14She is the CMLL Women's World Tag Team Champion.
00:08:17She is the CMLL World Women's Champion.
00:08:19And the New Japan Strong Women's Champion just was able to defend that championship against Alex Windsor a few weeks ago.
00:08:27And now comes to London.
00:08:30And it's showing exactly to Kenji why she's the champion.
00:08:33And let's not overlook that last fact there, David.
00:08:36Anybody who's familiar with RevPro and not necessarily as familiar with CMLL.
00:08:41We all saw Alex Windsor go through a hell of a match recently against Dani Luna right here in York Hall.
00:08:50And Stephanie Vakiu...
00:08:51As we go for the first cover of the match.
00:08:53That's a two count and Kenji is able to get out.
00:08:55Still affected on her eyes and neck.
00:08:57You were saying, impressive match by Alex Windsor and Dani Luna.
00:09:03It says a certain standing for someone to be able to go through that match, pick up a victory, and then be defeated by Stephanie Vakiu.
00:09:11That speaks to her credentials. Let's not be unclear here.
00:09:15If you're not familiar, Stephanie definitely is one of the top women wrestlers in the world.
00:09:19If you are familiar, you know exactly the level of competition that she brings into the ring.
00:09:23And Kenji on her back foot in the beginning of this match.
00:09:30Still trying to fight back, but those barricades offer no give.
00:09:36Broke open with the force that Kenji was thrown into them.
00:09:42Good job no one was sitting there, David.
00:09:44Good job nobody was sitting by those barricades, David.
00:09:47100%.
00:09:49Well, Jordan Saeed was, but he's early in his infancy of his contender run.
00:09:57He doesn't have the reflexes that people like he used to have.
00:10:00Look at that!
00:10:02So effective on the head scissors.
00:10:05And again, doesn't have to be pretty.
00:10:08Sure as hell is effective.
00:10:10Back into the pinfall and Kenji is able to still fight through it.
00:10:14She is tough and resilient.
00:10:15It's going to take way more than that to be able to affect Kenji.
00:10:18But listen, your forehead, the top of your head, your neck being cranked in that position.
00:10:24That figure four head scissors turning to that impact there is exactly the kind of action
00:10:29that Stephanie Bakir learned as she trained in Mexico.
00:10:32And she brings into offense with Kenji.
00:10:35And also some attitude that we'll be able to see here.
00:10:38She is a champion and she knows that Kenji is fighting from underneath.
00:10:45Again, this is just all solid game plan from Stephanie.
00:10:50Even those covers, picture perfect.
00:10:52Forcing your opponent to exert themselves more, trying to kick out.
00:10:56But Kenji this time, lovely throw down kick to the back of the skull.
00:11:00That's what we're talking about.
00:11:01The creativity of Kenji is insane.
00:11:03And the resilience to be able to endure all that offense by Stephanie Bakir
00:11:06and still be able to fight back.
00:11:08Blocks the shot, is able to hit one.
00:11:10Continues to hit those forearms that are rocking Stephanie Bakir.
00:11:13She needs to be looking for volume here.
00:11:15Feels she's done enough to rock.
00:11:18Saw that one coming, uses the ropes and catches with a big one.
00:11:21Flying forearms off the top and Kenji has turned this match around.
00:11:28Still feeling the effects.
00:11:29Can she capitalize?
00:11:32Goes for the cover.
00:11:35Too delayed on that cover.
00:11:37Feeling herself firing up.
00:11:39Just wanting to feed off the energy for the crowd.
00:11:41A little too much there Kenji.
00:11:43And now Stephanie managing to get that small respite.
00:11:47Oh, look at that.
00:11:48Beautiful pinning situation here.
00:11:50Not enough though.
00:11:53As Kenji follows through.
00:11:54Makes sure that Stephanie was in position to hit that gut kick.
00:11:58Sends it to the corner.
00:11:59There's the reversal.
00:12:00Stephanie comes in.
00:12:01Gets Panderes to the outside.
00:12:03Kenji continues to try and follow through.
00:12:05Gets caught with a forearm.
00:12:07And saw it coming.
00:12:09Big knee right to the chin.
00:12:11What a chop.
00:12:12Did you hear that Gideon?
00:12:16Always, always a great sound to hear David.
00:12:20Kenji now.
00:12:21She's still suffering from the effects.
00:12:23Who know ma says the crowd here.
00:12:25One more they ask.
00:12:29And Kenji applies.
00:12:30That one was even harder like a shotgun in the middle of your call.
00:12:35Kenji puts Stephanie in position.
00:12:37Known for these kicks to the back of the head.
00:12:40How about that one?
00:12:42Gains some momentum.
00:12:44Caught her in the back of the head.
00:12:46And a close eye right to the front.
00:12:50Big flurry of ovens by Kenji.
00:12:52Innovation and impact that she brings to the ring.
00:12:57And your call is love in it.
00:12:59Again, this is what I was saying David.
00:13:01As soon as Kenji knocks Stephanie off of her game plan.
00:13:05She has been all over this match.
00:13:07This is truly what Kenji needs to do.
00:13:09No, jumps over a charging Stephanie Vakir.
00:13:11Look at that precision in that dropkick Gideon.
00:13:15That rocked her.
00:13:19The poison, the calm that Stephanie Vakir brings to her offense.
00:13:22Allows her to hit big moves like that.
00:13:25As she now tries to follow through with a DDT.
00:13:29Kenji still standing.
00:13:30Kenji was fighting out.
00:13:31Stephanie decided, hell I'll just drop her on her head.
00:13:34Fantastic switch up.
00:13:36Reactionary work there by Stephanie Vakir.
00:13:41Not enough to keep Kenji down.
00:13:43As Kenji is bringing the fight.
00:13:45And follows through.
00:13:48Over the top with a plunger.
00:13:56Kenji is feeling it.
00:13:57And the Dark Angel is on the back foot.
00:14:01Can Kenji capitalize and follow through?
00:14:03Matches have to be won in the ring.
00:14:07As Kenji lures Stephanie.
00:14:10And catches her with that spear.
00:14:12Through the ropes.
00:14:13Goes for the cover.
00:14:14There's two.
00:14:15Stephanie Vakir kicks out.
00:14:16It's still in this match.
00:14:17Absolutely tight, tight cover there from Kenji.
00:14:21But Stephanie Vakir knows exactly what she has to do.
00:14:24To get that shoulder up.
00:14:26To stay in this match.
00:14:28She's truly been fighting defense for the last five or so minutes David.
00:14:32And exhaustion is now setting in as well.
00:14:34For both these competitors.
00:14:35Kenji putting a lot of energy into the flurry of offenses.
00:14:38To be able to hit.
00:14:40Beautiful.
00:14:42Kenji is able to resist.
00:14:44Gets turned around.
00:14:45There's the suplex Stephanie was looking for.
00:14:47Goes for the cover.
00:14:49That's two.
00:14:50Kenji is still in this.
00:14:54But the precision from Stephanie to turn that around.
00:14:57All it took was that one opening.
00:15:00To get that jawbreaker.
00:15:02Stephanie knew exactly what she needed to do.
00:15:04To follow up.
00:15:05To bring herself the greatest advantage.
00:15:07To bring herself fully back into this match.
00:15:09Now Stephanie all over Kenji.
00:15:10Sweeps the leg.
00:15:12All the way from one corner to the other.
00:15:14Big double knees.
00:15:17The explosiveness and the first step of Stephanie Vakir is so impressive.
00:15:22Will that be enough to get the win?
00:15:24Now Kenji is still in this.
00:15:26Stephanie this time does an open air in space.
00:15:28Catches her in the crossface.
00:15:30Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
00:15:31Just needs to really work on that grip.
00:15:34Work it to the side of the head.
00:15:35And just pull that neck to the shoulder.
00:15:38Really exposing that neck crank.
00:15:40Kenji is doing everything she can to stop that from happening right now.
00:15:44Working her way towards the ropes.
00:15:46Trying not to get tied during this hold.
00:15:48But Stephanie does a draw.
00:15:50Power from Vasquez.
00:15:52Couldn't get the hand.
00:15:54Is able to reach the foot.
00:15:56And Stephanie Vakir doesn't let go of the crossface.
00:15:58That has to show frustration.
00:16:00I am certain that Stephanie was expecting this to be a walk in the park.
00:16:03But Kenji is showing that she got it.
00:16:05She got it with the jackknife.
00:16:06No.
00:16:07Kenji gets to her feet first.
00:16:08Tries to go for a double down.
00:16:10Watch this.
00:16:12Stephanie is able to turn around.
00:16:13Big back suplex.
00:16:15And both these wrestlers exhausted.
00:16:22In what has been a great contest here.
00:16:24To open up Fantastica Mania.
00:16:26Your call Gideon.
00:16:27Absolutely.
00:16:28Hell of a sprint so far from both competitors.
00:16:31And this style of match absolutely takes its toll on your body.
00:16:36You need to have tip top cardiovascular conditioning in order to take part.
00:16:43And now Kenji managing to fight back on Vasquez.
00:16:49Looking for a triangle there.
00:16:52Elevated legs up in the air.
00:16:54Looking almost for an arm bar from this position David.
00:16:58But Stephanie.
00:16:59Power.
00:17:00Power.
00:17:01Powerful.
00:17:02Great counter.
00:17:03Still feeling the effects of that triangle.
00:17:05He's unable to capitalize.
00:17:09Gets Kenji.
00:17:10Grouses by the hair.
00:17:11Tries to go for the kick.
00:17:12Kenji saw it coming.
00:17:13Watch the skull boy.
00:17:14There's two.
00:17:16This time Kenji goes for it.
00:17:18Big blows to the back of the neck and top of the head.
00:17:23Goes for the kick.
00:17:24Gets it.
00:17:25But unable to follow up with the cover David.
00:17:33Kenji trying to figure out a game plan to be able to somehow catch Stephanie Vakir.
00:17:40By surprise.
00:17:42Big jumping elbow.
00:17:45Goes for the cover one more time.
00:17:47There's two.
00:17:48Not enough to keep Stephanie Vakir down.
00:17:53And the frustration must be firmly set in for Kenji.
00:17:58She's calling to the end.
00:17:59She wants to put Stephanie Vakir away.
00:18:04But does she know what it will take?
00:18:06Big slap to the face.
00:18:07That's what it might take.
00:18:08Hard strikes are the big thing that Kenji brings into this table.
00:18:14Big lariat.
00:18:16Kenji still in it.
00:18:17Stephanie trying to figure out.
00:18:19She goes for the cover.
00:18:20Decides to follow through.
00:18:21To go for a package.
00:18:23Doesn't get it.
00:18:24Kenji shifted her out.
00:18:26Goes over.
00:18:27There's a double leg Nelson.
00:18:29This could be it.
00:18:30Kenji's able to kick out.
00:18:33Tries to find some refugee in the corner.
00:18:36But Stephanie Vakir saw it coming.
00:18:39Big lariat goes for another one.
00:18:41This time Stephanie saw it.
00:18:43Kenji saw it coming.
00:18:46Fights it.
00:18:47Another big chop.
00:18:50And a blow to the back of the head.
00:18:55At the moment is just back and forth.
00:18:58Oh, look at those head butts.
00:19:00Kenji trying to cut the tree down.
00:19:04Slowly and methodically.
00:19:08Gets a boot up.
00:19:11Kenji just needs to be trying to take every advantage she can.
00:19:14Watch this.
00:19:15Back and nasty.
00:19:16Nasty drag and screw off that second rope.
00:19:20Beautiful execution.
00:19:21The torque on that knee.
00:19:23And falls in with a package back breaker.
00:19:26Beautiful.
00:19:27Back in the back of the neck.
00:19:28This could be it.
00:19:29That's it.
00:19:30Stephanie Vakir.
00:19:32Had to fight hard.
00:19:35But is able to win.
00:19:38This hard hitting opening contest of Fatassica Mania.
00:19:41Your winner.
00:19:43Stephanie Vakir.
00:19:49A testament to the foundational work.
00:19:53That Gare did throughout the opening of that contest.
00:19:58All of that targeting at the back of the head.
00:20:00The back of the neck.
00:20:02Paying off in dividends.
00:20:05And picking her up to win.
00:20:07Right here in your pool, Bethu Green.
00:20:11La Primera.
00:20:14Dicks a box.
00:20:16And is able to come to your call.
00:20:20And showcase herself beautifully for Fatassica Mania.
00:20:24As she shows a nod of respect.
00:20:27To Kanji.
00:20:29Who fought valiantly.
00:20:31And showcased beautiful work.
00:20:35Not just for herself.
00:20:36But for the British wrestling scene.
00:20:39Being it Stephanie Vakir is at the top of her game.
00:20:43Multiple times champion in multiple promotions.
00:20:47One of the best women's wrestlers in the world.
00:20:51The Dark Angel is unstoppable.
00:20:56And is loving being here at Fatassica Mania.
00:21:11What a contest this starts with Fatassica Mania.
00:21:13But we got another great show coming later today as well.
00:21:17A singles match with a 30 minute time limit.
00:21:20Scheduled for one fall.
00:21:24Introducing to the ring first.
00:21:47Fatassica Mania.
00:21:48Right here in Bethu Green.
00:21:50Is that it's convinced some of these ugly, ugly people in the crowd.
00:21:55To put on your traditional Lucha Libre mask.
00:21:58So we can't see their mugs.
00:22:00Speaking of mugs.
00:22:04The king of the cruiserweights.
00:22:06The gremlin facedog himself.
00:22:09Robbie X.
00:22:12Is in the building.
00:22:14Gideon I would appreciate if you don't go around next to me.
00:22:17And use the word mug like that.
00:22:19I apologize.
00:22:21Making his way into the ring.
00:22:24He is the king of the cruiserweights.
00:22:31Robbie X.
00:22:37I hope Shazam was having a horrible day.
00:22:39Anyways.
00:22:40Robbie X is here.
00:22:41And maybe there is no one in the referee roster.
00:22:44That is able to showcase themselves.
00:22:48When CMH comes to town.
00:22:50In a better fashion than Robbie X.
00:22:53He was a standout the last Fatassica Mania.
00:22:56It is very notable.
00:22:57The match that he had with Titan.
00:22:59And now he faces another big test.
00:23:02As Barbero Caballero.
00:23:05Crosses the curtain and comes out.
00:23:08Welcome to Big Style by York Hall.
00:23:12Listen this guy is truly insane.
00:23:17You think so?
00:23:19Did you see what he did last year?
00:23:21Did you see what he did last year?
00:23:23I did, yes.
00:23:24No sensibility in the face of his own well-being.
00:23:28Another hell of a mania.
00:23:37He's crazy enough to do it today as well.
00:23:39Splash from the top rope to the floor.
00:23:41And that's just one of the many ways he uses his body as a weapon.
00:23:44The other thing as well is that.
00:23:45You shouldn't expect to see a lot of traditional Yami style by Barbero.
00:23:50You shouldn't expect to see some beautiful professional wrestling.
00:23:54He's a brawler.
00:23:56He's a bruiser.
00:23:57He will beat you up and he'll love it.
00:23:59And when he calls himself a caveman.
00:24:03I think everyone understands it.
00:24:05You always know which one is Cavernario's locker room, you know.
00:24:08Absolutely, absolutely.
00:24:10The state of it back there.
00:24:13And that was before he got in, David.
00:24:19This is a very exciting contest that we're able to see here.
00:24:21CMLL, it's going to happen every time, isn't it?
00:24:25I despise it.
00:24:26It's just going to, honestly.
00:24:31CMLL Contingent is, in general, big fans of Robbie X.
00:24:35A lot of respect and admiration for the king of the cruiserweights.
00:24:38And how he's carrying the cruiserweight style.
00:24:40And the cruiserweight divisions around the country.
00:24:42Here in the UK.
00:24:45So they know if last year was a surprise for people like Titan to face Robbie X.
00:24:50And how good he is.
00:24:51Let's not talk about Titan, okay?
00:24:53Why?
00:24:54Any member of LOJ.
00:24:55It just sets me off, David.
00:24:57What is it?
00:24:58Okay.
00:25:00That is a little barbarian worm coming there.
00:25:09Is that Portuguese?
00:25:10I think it's Spanish as well.
00:25:12As they exchange leg sweeps and covers.
00:25:14The lateral presses aren't enough to get even a one count.
00:25:17As the rhythm of this match speeds up.
00:25:19Beautiful arm drag.
00:25:20Gets caught in an arm drag by Barbaro.
00:25:22A double dropkick attempt.
00:25:24They both miss.
00:25:25There's the nip-ups.
00:25:29And it's almost like they're beating off each other.
00:25:31And this is exactly the kind of contest that they want.
00:25:34If you're not used to Lucho Libre.
00:25:36If you're not used to...
00:25:40Well, we're used to this.
00:25:41We're used to the annihilation of places like your call to Robbie X.
00:25:43If you're not used to Lucho Libre as a style.
00:25:46If you don't know the meta of what they bring in.
00:25:49The way speed, agility and full bodies used as an offensive weapon is unique.
00:25:56When you are involved in it.
00:25:58It's normal that as a luchador.
00:26:00You're going to end up doing the exact same style.
00:26:03Because the only thing that's going to get you a win.
00:26:05This time there's no worms by Barbaro Cavenario.
00:26:07As Robbie X.
00:26:08So comfortable on the worms.
00:26:09Beautiful.
00:26:10Beautiful dropkick from Robbie X.
00:26:12But listen.
00:26:13Yes.
00:26:14You want to talk about Lucho Libre as a style.
00:26:16As a spectacle.
00:26:17Here we go for the first actual cover of the match.
00:26:18And Cavenario kicks out at two.
00:26:19Robbie X in control in the early stages.
00:26:21You were saying?
00:26:23The thought process is so drastically different David.
00:26:27It's the one upmanship.
00:26:29Through spectacle.
00:26:30Through sheer.
00:26:32I'm able to do this.
00:26:33Keep up or be forgotten.
00:26:35You know what the word is?
00:26:36The word is bravado.
00:26:37Bravado.
00:26:38Perfect.
00:26:39Look at that.
00:26:42Here's another cover.
00:26:43That's two.
00:26:44And the most beautiful Santan in the world right now.
00:26:48Is the one that's executed by Robbie X.
00:26:50Hell of a delay.
00:26:51So innovative as well.
00:26:52We've been able to see what he's been able to do.
00:26:56Like last week against Iker.
00:26:58He did this exact thing.
00:26:59But from the corner.
00:27:00A completely different angle.
00:27:01The body control of Robbie X is insane.
00:27:03And you said it on the microphone.
00:27:06He shouldn't be here right now.
00:27:08Truth.
00:27:09He should be somewhere else.
00:27:10And I think we all agree.
00:27:11Watch out Pablo Cavenario.
00:27:13Trying to follow up with his open.
00:27:14Don't do this.
00:27:15Don't do this.
00:27:16Don't do this.
00:27:17Jesus Christ.
00:27:19He is not a small man, Gideon.
00:27:21Pablo Cavenario.
00:27:22Absolutely not.
00:27:23Is so agile and so precise.
00:27:25And that tope suicida from the apron.
00:27:29Through the turnbuckles as opposed to through the robes.
00:27:32Hit on target.
00:27:34And Robbie X is suffering right now.
00:27:36Absolutely.
00:27:37And as a multilingual man, David.
00:27:39I appreciate how absolutely on form you are.
00:27:43Pronouncing everything.
00:27:44In general.
00:27:45Pronouncing the names.
00:27:46Pronouncing the moves.
00:27:48I will try my best doing this to translate for us purely speaking English people out there.
00:27:54It's our fault.
00:27:55It is.
00:27:56Entirely our fault.
00:27:57But Barbaro Cavenario.
00:28:00I believe directly.
00:28:01Barbaro Cavenario.
00:28:04You're welcome.
00:28:05I believe directly translates to barbarian caveman.
00:28:06I'll try this throughout the night.
00:28:08If I get them right, tell me.
00:28:09If I get them wrong, don't tell me.
00:28:10You want me to not tell you?
00:28:11Because I was going to.
00:28:12But if you want to play this game, I'm very happy to play this game.
00:28:14More than happy to play this game.
00:28:15If I get it wrong, you translate for people.
00:28:18That's absolutely fine.
00:28:19A lot of Mexican flags in the audience today.
00:28:23As the audience that comes today to Fantastica Mania is loving seeing the CMLL stars here.
00:28:32Barbaro Cavenario.
00:28:36Almost able to stop himself.
00:28:37Look at that landing.
00:28:38Wonderful.
00:28:39Wonderful.
00:28:40And there's another drop right there.
00:28:42And follows it up with one right to the back of the head.
00:28:44Hey, listen, let me tell you.
00:28:45There's the cover.
00:28:46That's two.
00:28:47And now Robbie X knows exactly where he is.
00:28:49Smart, smart, smart.
00:28:50He grabs the ropes.
00:28:51Ring positioning.
00:28:52Ring generalship from Robbie X.
00:28:54Let me tell you, though.
00:28:55This is why I want Robbie X in the best of the super juniors.
00:28:57I enjoy seeing that man be put through pain more than anyone else in the country right now.
00:29:03It's fantastic seeing him get booted in the skull.
00:29:08What a chop.
00:29:09Let's go.
00:29:10Let's go.
00:29:12You know, the other thing as well when it comes to wrestling.
00:29:15Both of us have been in the ring regularly.
00:29:19And a big part of wrestling people that are used to a completely different wrestling style than yours
00:29:27is that you don't know what to expect.
00:29:31Like you don't see a lot of belly kicks in Lucha Libre, trust me.
00:29:34Absolutely.
00:29:35Listen.
00:29:36And the way that Robbie X mixes what he's been learning here with what he's been able to study from other styles
00:29:41both in Lucha Libre Japan.
00:29:46There is a reason Robbie X is called the innovator.
00:29:49There's the cover after the drop kick.
00:29:50There's two.
00:29:51Tries to put a full weight.
00:29:52But Cabanero is still able to use his legs to kick out.
00:29:55And again, I think that speaks truly to the strength contained within the form of Cabanero.
00:30:01Fantastic.
00:30:02It's been very fun.
00:30:03I heard everything that was happening around Stephanie McKeer's last name.
00:30:07Trust me.
00:30:08You are going to hear absolute murder when it comes to me trying to pronounce anything.
00:30:12People will think that you're doing it on purpose.
00:30:15But I know you're not.
00:30:16You're just trying your best.
00:30:18And I appreciate that.
00:30:19You always try your best.
00:30:20I am a simple English lord.
00:30:24I speak very few languages.
00:30:26I don't even speak English particularly well.
00:30:29As Robbie X goes for the spinning kick.
00:30:32Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful grab behind.
00:30:34Yes!
00:30:37What a hammerlock trap suplex.
00:30:41Cabanero goaded Robbie X in.
00:30:43Allowed him to loosen up his defenses.
00:30:47Only to catch him in that throw.
00:30:48Goes for the cover.
00:30:49Not enough weight on Robbie X's shoulders.
00:30:53Unfortunate.
00:30:54Unfortunate that Cabanero couldn't follow up on that.
00:30:58I was closer that time.
00:30:59That was very good.
00:31:00That R-rolling was impressive.
00:31:04Everyone let him know on Twitter.
00:31:05At A. Quildon.
00:31:07Absolutely.
00:31:12This is the other thing that happens.
00:31:14And maybe we're not as used to seeing in the referee rings.
00:31:17But definitely are used to seeing it in places like Arena Mexico.
00:31:24Wrestlers love that connection with the audience.
00:31:27What is Cabanero going for?
00:31:29As he runs through.
00:31:30Springs off the rope.
00:31:32Oh my god!
00:31:33That was right on the nose.
00:31:34Robbie X knew it was coming.
00:31:35But this time he...
00:31:36Oh he suns it again!
00:31:39Cabanero misses it.
00:31:40Robbie X did his homework and prepared himself for his opponent this afternoon.
00:31:44But that kick got him right on the nose.
00:31:47Robbie's trying to fight through.
00:31:49But he may not be able to.
00:31:50Or maybe he's goading him in.
00:31:53Cabanero!
00:31:54What is this?
00:31:55Robbie X is a beautiful as a moonsault.
00:31:59He uses his entire body.
00:32:02As a weapon.
00:32:03To the delight of your call.
00:32:06And Robbie is climbing to the top.
00:32:09Ascending to the heavens.
00:32:11Nowhere is more comfortable than this position.
00:32:15Robbie go round directly on the dome.
00:32:19Only a two though.
00:32:20The Scottish referee's hand.
00:32:22Almost brushed the mat.
00:32:26I was about to mention that as well.
00:32:29The name of the referee.
00:32:30Please don't mention the actual name.
00:32:32Jesus Christ.
00:32:35Your call is loving what they're seeing in front of them.
00:32:37As two of the top wrestlers in the world facing each other.
00:32:41Robbie X goes for the exclamation.
00:32:43Springboard cutter.
00:32:44Cabanero saw it coming.
00:32:45He's able to grab it.
00:32:46Throws him into the corner.
00:32:47Follows through immediately with a clothesline.
00:32:49And he's bringing Robbie up.
00:32:51What a shot.
00:32:54And listen David.
00:32:55This is why.
00:32:58We try to paywall as much of the wrestling on RevPro as possible.
00:33:02Right on RevProOnDemand.com.
00:33:05So that people can't scout talent like Robbie X.
00:33:08And yet Cabanero.
00:33:10Still able to hit.
00:33:12Huge back body drop.
00:33:14From the top.
00:33:15That's the highest I've ever seen someone suffering a back body drop.
00:33:18And Cabanero's a finish.
00:33:20Flies through.
00:33:21What a splash.
00:33:23There's the cover.
00:33:24That's two.
00:33:25And Robbie X kicks out.
00:33:27Somehow.
00:33:29Someway.
00:33:30Through crushed sternum.
00:33:33Damaged ribs.
00:33:34Why is he so disgusting?
00:33:36He is disgusting.
00:33:38Listen.
00:33:39If it puts off your opponent, it's all to your advantage David.
00:33:41But he's not even doing it to Robbie X.
00:33:42He's facing the camera in the crowd.
00:33:45I approve.
00:33:46You approve?
00:33:47I approve.
00:33:48Listen.
00:33:49To which he's on, right?
00:33:50Oh.
00:33:51Beautiful back rope.
00:33:53And that dirt under the fingernails on that back rope.
00:33:56It's going to be playing in Robbie's head.
00:33:58I'm telling you.
00:33:59Yeah.
00:34:00And it's also going to be playing in his back for two months.
00:34:01That's how you get infected.
00:34:02Of course.
00:34:03You know.
00:34:04Of course.
00:34:05I'm sorry.
00:34:06I'm a clean person.
00:34:07I wouldn't appreciate this.
00:34:08Listen.
00:34:09Cabanero is going for the long term win here.
00:34:10Okay?
00:34:11No offense.
00:34:12Robbie X will never forget him.
00:34:13Robbie is trying to fight his best using his entire body to prevent Cabanero from Irish
00:34:18whipping him across the ring and make him a hit hard in the other corner.
00:34:22And Robbie hooks him up looking for that revolution kick from Robbie X.
00:34:27Swings him out.
00:34:28We've seen him follow this up so many times with a shooting star.
00:34:34No.
00:34:35Still not enough.
00:34:37But Robbie tries to follow through as he goes to the top rope.
00:34:40You think you're ready for offense like that by Robbie by seeing it so many times.
00:34:43But you don't see it coming when you're out there.
00:34:45Especially that kick.
00:34:46Rocks you enough so that he's able to hit the shooting star and goes.
00:34:52But Cabanero misses.
00:34:53Grabs the arm.
00:34:54Grabs the leg.
00:34:55Spins him all the way around.
00:34:56That was a right on his face.
00:34:58And Cabanero goes and tries to do what he was trying earlier.
00:35:01Springs and gets a splash to the back of the head.
00:35:03Rolls him away from the ropes.
00:35:05There's two.
00:35:06Robbie X is still in it.
00:35:09Combination work from both athletes has been on top for Cabanero.
00:35:14Great.
00:35:16Great.
00:35:17Breaking the back of Robbie X.
00:35:19Clutching those hands around the chin.
00:35:21Just stretching him like mad.
00:35:23That's it.
00:35:24He's done.
00:35:25He's done.
00:35:29He got the submission on so quickly.
00:35:31Robbie couldn't do anything to prepare for it.
00:35:34The back hyperextended.
00:35:36Gives the win to Barbaro Cabanero.
00:35:39It is your winner,
00:35:43Baro Cabanero.
00:35:48That's what I said, Francesco.
00:35:50I'm glad we're on the same page.
00:35:51It was close to what you said.
00:35:52Close to what you said, David.
00:35:59One opportunity.
00:36:01That is all it took, David.
00:36:04Wonderful work.
00:36:06If there's one thing that's not going to change,
00:36:08regardless of where the wrestlers that come in the repro ring come from,
00:36:12be it Portugal, Spain, or Mexico, or Japan,
00:36:15is the fact that the competition is at top level
00:36:19when it happens in a repro ring.
00:36:21This is no exception.
00:36:23As Cabanero and Robbie X...
00:36:25Come on!
00:36:26...got it.
00:36:27Now, at the end of the match, it's okay.
00:36:28I wanted to do it a few times,
00:36:30but before then, they didn't want to do it.
00:36:31I don't understand why.
00:36:32I told you.
00:36:34Never show respect to anyone, David.
00:36:37Never show weakness.
00:36:38I think that weakness and respect are two different things.
00:36:41I don't mind showing respect.
00:36:43The problem is when people don't show the same respect to me.
00:36:45I just think people are hypocrites.
00:36:47I'm glad Cabanero doesn't do that.
00:36:49The only thing that matters is pure, unadulterated violence, David.
00:36:56The following contest is a tag team match
00:37:00with a 30-minute time limit scheduled for one fall.
00:37:05One fall!
00:37:06And this match is under Lucha Rules!
00:37:10Lucha! Lucha! Lucha!
00:37:13Please welcome the wrestlers to the ring.
00:37:18What we mean by Lucha Rules...
00:37:20What we mean by Lucha Rules...
00:37:22is the fact that in tag matches, there's no such thing.
00:37:25Well, tags happen to symbolize them,
00:37:28but in actuality, what makes the change
00:37:31between the legal and illegal competitors
00:37:34in a tag team with Lucha Rules
00:37:36is the fact that whoever is inside the ropes and outside the ropes,
00:37:40when you step out of the ropes,
00:37:42you can become no longer the legal competitor.
00:37:45And if one of your teammates gets in the ring,
00:37:47he becomes the legal competitor.
00:37:49Entering the ring...
00:37:52Okamura!
00:37:58Also, rarely when there's more than one competitor in the ring
00:38:02are there such things as count-outs.
00:38:04The count-outs are very lax when it comes to Lucha Rules.
00:38:08And this is going to be one of the matches we're going to have here.
00:38:10As Okamura, one of the legends of CMLL,
00:38:13current tag team champion for MLW as well,
00:38:16and a competitor all around the world,
00:38:19teams with a couple of wrestlers
00:38:22that I think they really gelled
00:38:25when they were sharing a locker room earlier today
00:38:28because they have similar philosophies.
00:38:30How's that for a word, Gideon?
00:38:32Hey, listen, it's definitely one way to put it.
00:38:35I've been informed by Andy Quill
00:38:37that I can no longer swear comfortably on commentary,
00:38:40so the crap rules are here, David!
00:38:43I would love to hear all the euphemisms this is going to bring in.
00:38:46Make sure it's a different one every time.
00:38:50You can see Kid Lycos in the front,
00:38:52Kid Lycos too,
00:38:54the masked one in Lycos' gym,
00:38:56and you also can see the number of masks.
00:38:59And introducing his tag team partners,
00:39:02the ultimate wolf, Kid Lycos,
00:39:07and the problem,
00:39:10and the problem,
00:39:12Kid Lycos too,
00:39:14they are Lycos Dream!
00:39:40Listen...
00:39:42Honestly, I'm just surprised he's not actually a wolf, David.
00:39:45What's that?
00:39:46Honestly, I'm just surprised he's not actually a wolf.
00:39:48Oh, underneath the mask?
00:39:49Yeah.
00:39:50Well, the other one is.
00:39:51I've genuinely thought that for all of my career.
00:39:54Facing him, I've bought newspapers,
00:39:56I've bought pet spray,
00:39:58but one thing I didn't bring
00:40:00was an outfit quite this snazzy, David.
00:40:05I don't trust myself to say his name.
00:40:09Dulce Gardenia.
00:40:10Thank you very much.
00:40:11I was always going to go Gabbana.
00:40:20You go to the Gardenia.
00:40:22It's a flower.
00:40:24It's sweet.
00:40:25It means sweet Gardenia.
00:40:26It's a flower.
00:40:27Of course, Gardenia.
00:40:28Yes.
00:40:29Yes.
00:40:30What are you doing here?
00:40:31Listen, it's the Dolce.
00:40:32You're a lord, you don't know your flowers?
00:40:33It's the Dolce at the start.
00:40:34It's sweet.
00:40:36Dolce Gabbana has the watch.
00:40:40But sweet flower in English
00:40:42for those listening at home.
00:40:44Not just flowers.
00:40:45Gardenia is a specific type of flower.
00:40:49Listen, we have to talk about
00:40:51what's about to happen at York Hall.
00:40:54Atlantis Junior is coming in front,
00:40:58leading the way for his father.
00:41:01The lineage and the tradition
00:41:03of handing down the masks,
00:41:06and dare I say, the brand
00:41:08of who you are as a wrestler
00:41:11is a huge tradition in Mexico.
00:41:13Very interesting that Lycos, Jim,
00:41:15are in the ring sharing this right now
00:41:17because the Lycos mask is
00:41:19in a wide part of that lineage.
00:41:21His way into the ring,
00:41:23Atlantis Junior!
00:41:29And I'm going to have plenty of time
00:41:30to talk about the weight
00:41:31that Atlantis Junior carries on his shoulders
00:41:33as his father comes out in a second.
00:41:35But Atlantis Junior is early in his career
00:41:37and he has big shoes to fill
00:41:39with one of the biggest names
00:41:41ever in the history of Lucho Libre.
00:41:42The responsibility of legacy, David.
00:41:46There's no greater responsibility.
00:41:51And this is why
00:41:54stepping into the stage at York Hall
00:41:57is Lucho Libre royalty.
00:42:02Atlantis carries around his face and head
00:42:07the most valuable mask in Mexico right now.
00:42:13A lot of people...
00:42:14Making his way into the ring,
00:42:17Atlantis!
00:42:22A lot of people have gone for that mask
00:42:24and weren't able to take it.
00:42:26In fact, that mask is so valuable
00:42:29that the first time ever
00:42:31that a company that isn't WWE
00:42:33was able to have more than a million dollar gate
00:42:36was CMLL.
00:42:37On the 81st anniversary,
00:42:39Atlantis was able to main event
00:42:41not just that one,
00:42:42but six anniversary shows for CMLL.
00:42:46The anniversary shows are
00:42:48the biggest shows the year that they run,
00:42:50the biggest show in the history of Lucho Libre
00:42:52every year.
00:42:53And that is just one of the many accolades
00:42:56in the storied history and career of Atlantis
00:43:00as one of the biggest legends ever of Lucho Libre
00:43:03graces us with his presence here at York Hall.
00:43:07Bearing the weight of the hopes and dreams
00:43:11of so many people on his shoulders with ease.
00:43:17And for the English listeners at home,
00:43:20Atlantis and Atlantis Jr.
00:43:22directly translate to Atlantis...
00:43:24Atlantis!
00:43:25...and Atlantis Jr.
00:43:26Thank you, thank you.
00:43:27I'm glad that I didn't have that one on my notes.
00:43:31Here to fill in when needed, David.
00:43:37Well, we're definitely going to have to censor the crowd here.
00:43:42Looks like Dolce Gardena is going to start the match here.
00:43:46And Lycos 2 is going to start the match here as well.
00:43:50There's so many stories here to tell.
00:43:52The storied career of Okamura.
00:43:58The fact that Lycos' gym just fits like a glove
00:44:01in a show like this.
00:44:03The Atlantis family.
00:44:06The fact that finally British fans can shut up
00:44:08about asking what Lucho Libre rules are.
00:44:11Good job on that one, David.
00:44:12You're welcome.
00:44:13I'll recap.
00:44:15Right now there's only two legal men in the ring.
00:44:18If one of them gets out of the ring through the rope
00:44:21then if someone else comes in,
00:44:23he automatically becomes the legal man.
00:44:25Also expect the count-outs to be a little bit lax.
00:44:30Listen, you don't want to see a match end with count-outs.
00:44:32No.
00:44:33And Oscar knows what's up.
00:44:35It's very different.
00:44:37He understands how different it is.
00:44:38And also we want to make sure that our guests feel at home.
00:44:41Of course.
00:44:42Lycos 2 working his way into that wrist lock center of the ring.
00:44:47Atlantis Jr. just easily taking that leg.
00:44:50Great finding it.
00:44:51Atlantis Jr. is the biggest man in this match here.
00:44:54His power is going to be a big factor, I'm sure.
00:45:01Expect him to go for a frog splash.
00:45:04In fact, last time he was here in the UK,
00:45:06he shared the ring with Michael Lucho
00:45:08and they shared frog splash tips.
00:45:11There you go.
00:45:12Finally Michael was able to learn how to hit one.
00:45:14He's responsible then, is he?
00:45:16As we go for the first cover here from that crucifix,
00:45:19Lycos 2 is able to slither out.
00:45:21Did you notice though?
00:45:23Nasty by Atlantis Jr. there.
00:45:25When he was going for that snapmare down,
00:45:27kept the knee up as he was snapmaring down.
00:45:31A lot of people you'll see will drop that knee
00:45:33in order to roll their opponent more effectively.
00:45:36Not giving in for the possibility
00:45:38that their face will get caught on their knee.
00:45:41Atlantis Jr. no such compulsion.
00:45:43Just even if it happened, fantastic.
00:45:46I like to see that in a wrestler.
00:45:49I have to mention the tradition of Lycos gym and masks
00:45:55and how they are very influenced.
00:45:57Sure by Lucho Libre, definitely when it comes to lineage.
00:45:59We have an example of that.
00:46:00They're mirroring each other, Lycos 2 and Atlantis Jr.
00:46:04when it comes to lineage and carrying the weight of a mask.
00:46:07Obviously, you can definitely say that Kid Lycos 2
00:46:11is heavily influenced by Dragon Gate
00:46:13and by what Yamada started when he brought a Lucho Libre style
00:46:19and mixed it together with Japan
00:46:21creating something that's called Lucho Retsu.
00:46:24And that has heavy influence not just in Lycos gym
00:46:27but in our generation of professional wrestlers.
00:46:30Even if we don't understand how much Dragon Gate has influenced
00:46:34so much wrestling around the world.
00:46:36You can say this.
00:46:37I'll argue that point until the cows come home.
00:46:40I've taken influence from nobody.
00:46:42You're your own man.
00:46:43Of course.
00:46:44I've taken influence from you.
00:46:45Oh, thank you.
00:46:46I appreciate that, David.
00:46:48Anything I can do to help people cheat more effectively.
00:46:51Always a good day.
00:46:52Let's talk about who's in the ring right now.
00:46:54Absolutely.
00:46:55Okamura and Dolce Gardena.
00:46:58You know what Okamura stands for?
00:47:00I do not.
00:47:02You know what Okamura stands for?
00:47:04I do not.
00:47:05It stands for Okamura.
00:47:06It's just a Japanese name.
00:47:07There you go.
00:47:08It stands for nothing.
00:47:09Lovely.
00:47:10Beautiful.
00:47:11Beautiful Yabes style.
00:47:12Beautiful technical wrestling being exchanged here.
00:47:14Also a big tradition of Lucho Libre is wrestlers
00:47:20who allow themselves to be themselves
00:47:22and are an example to so many people around the world.
00:47:24Even use it as an offensive weapon.
00:47:27Dolce Gardena brings a beautiful style of professional wrestling
00:47:30to the ring.
00:47:32Often called in Mexico the Exotico style.
00:47:39While Okamura brings a lot of brawling.
00:47:41He's nasty and he doesn't have to wear that mask.
00:47:44He's just doing it for fun.
00:47:46Oh, look at this.
00:47:47Gardena was going for a kiss.
00:47:50And that throws Okamura off the hip toss.
00:47:52He's able to land on his feet.
00:47:55Finds some space with a body check.
00:47:57Climbs up the top rope and a spinning plancha
00:48:00from Dolce Gardena.
00:48:02Catches the attempt.
00:48:04But Okamura stops him.
00:48:06What I like to see.
00:48:10Quick slap to the tuchus from Dolce.
00:48:14Again, that Exotico style you like to mention.
00:48:16Fabulous, David.
00:48:18Gardena dancing.
00:48:19Throwing Okamura off.
00:48:22Sending kisses to the ring.
00:48:24What a flip.
00:48:25Throws him around.
00:48:26The arm drag.
00:48:27Gets Okamura out of the ring.
00:48:28And he's not done.
00:48:29Was going to go for a dive.
00:48:31But actually stops.
00:48:32And is asking the person in the third row to call him.
00:48:37And in comes Atlantis.
00:48:40The business has picked up in Yoko.
00:48:44In what has to be one of the greatest moments
00:48:46in the career of Kid Laikos.
00:48:49He shares the ring.
00:48:55With a legend.
00:48:59And he's showing him the respect that he deserves.
00:49:01See, I appreciate people who show respect
00:49:03to people who have earned it.
00:49:04Listen, I am again not a fan of offering the handshake.
00:49:07I hope Oscar Laib is watching.
00:49:15I hope he's watching.
00:49:16Never trust a Laikai.
00:49:18The respect is done.
00:49:19Hey, the respect ends once you shake the hand.
00:49:21Letting go of the hand is not part of it, right?
00:49:24It's speeding up as Atlantis catches Laikos
00:49:28with two arm drags.
00:49:29Gets stopped.
00:49:30Okamura comes in.
00:49:31Three people are needed to stop the legend.
00:49:35Hey, listen.
00:49:36El ídolo de los niños, as he's known in New Mexico.
00:49:40If you're fighting a fair fight,
00:49:42you're not fighting a good fight, David.
00:49:44I like that.
00:49:46That is smart.
00:49:48And this is what I was talking about.
00:49:49Okamura and Laikos' gym just gel beautifully.
00:49:53And I, for one, don't have a lot to say about that.
00:49:58Do you know what ídolo de los niños is?
00:50:00I'm sorry?
00:50:01El ídolo de los niños.
00:50:02Do you know what it is?
00:50:03One more time.
00:50:04El ídolo de todos los niños.
00:50:06Absolutely no idea, David.
00:50:08Well, Atlantis is bringing in those two-kilogram backbreakers.
00:50:12A quebradora that he's known for.
00:50:15And catches the entire team in it!
00:50:20Fantastic!
00:50:29As your call erupts to celebrate the legend,
00:50:33well, he is the ídolo of all the children in Mexico.
00:50:37He's Atlantis, one of the favorites by the young fans of Lucha Libre
00:50:42as things speed up here.
00:50:45Atlantis uses his power, but hey, he should have known that was going to happen
00:50:48because it happened before.
00:50:49You have to have eyes in the back of your head
00:50:51when you're facing Laikos' gym.
00:50:53And Okamura is loving it here at your call.
00:51:03And Laikos, come on, trying to add another mask to his collection.
00:51:08Can you imagine having Atlantis Jr.'s mask going around your waist
00:51:11and what a statement that would be?
00:51:14It's Lucha rules, which means that it will be a disqualification
00:51:17if you remove your opponent's mask as well.
00:51:20Hey, again, only if the referee captures you.
00:51:22Fair, yes.
00:51:24And it is a big deal when you don't get caught
00:51:27because the Mexican wrestlers will prioritize
00:51:30hiding that identity over everything.
00:51:32It's almost shameful for themselves and their family
00:51:35if that identity isn't hidden as Laikos' gym.
00:51:39Beautiful combination work from the Wolves.
00:51:44There's the cover.
00:51:46And again, truly, in some ways, this is a generational match.
00:51:49You've got Atlantis, you've got Atlantis Jr.
00:51:52Father and son.
00:51:53You've got Laikos, and you've got Laikos II.
00:51:56Father and son, probably.
00:51:58Ish.
00:51:59Ish.
00:52:00You've known Laikos II's mom.
00:52:01You've met her before.
00:52:02I'm sorry?
00:52:03You've met Laikos II's mom.
00:52:05Listen, we don't talk about that.
00:52:07Fair.
00:52:09They're in trouble again.
00:52:12They are able to isolate Atlantis Jr.
00:52:14Nakamura comes in the ring.
00:52:15The lineage, though, when it comes to masks,
00:52:17especially in Lucha Libre,
00:52:19I know we're talking about father and son,
00:52:21but also the lineage comes from training.
00:52:25It is very natural for moves and masks and presentations
00:52:29to be exchanged from a coach to their star pupils.
00:52:35And that's a little bit what happened with Laikos' gym as well.
00:52:38That's one of the things.
00:52:39When you find the person that you know,
00:52:41you know is the one to carry the responsibility,
00:52:45the weight and everything that comes with your legacy,
00:52:48it's only natural to want to provide for them,
00:52:51to give them their best start in their career.
00:52:54Laikos' gym and Nakamura are able to isolate Dolce Gardenia.
00:52:59Oh!
00:53:00What a kick!
00:53:02Listen, he may be a veteran,
00:53:05but he still kicks like a champion.
00:53:07And this is a mistake that the Rudos have made
00:53:09in this moment here.
00:53:10They turn their backs to their opponent.
00:53:12They allow Dolce Gardenia to slide out of the ring,
00:53:14which allows Atlantis to come in
00:53:16and become the legal man for their team.
00:53:18As you see,
00:53:20referees are not going to keep the counts.
00:53:23It is very regular and normal for
00:53:25three-on-one assaults in a match like this to happen.
00:53:28And Oscar is actually playing by the rules here.
00:53:34Sometimes he does it because he's no good.
00:53:36Sometimes he does it because he's respectful.
00:53:38Who knows, David?
00:53:39Atlantis exchanges with Atlantis Jr.
00:53:42But you see, on the technical side...
00:53:44And here we go.
00:53:45Like, very smart by Atlantis Jr. not to rush in.
00:53:47Absolutely.
00:53:48But even when opponents are cheating,
00:53:51sticking by the rules.
00:53:53Not necessarily what I'd do.
00:53:55And he turned his back to Kid Laikos.
00:53:57He should know that was going to come.
00:53:58That would be why.
00:54:02Someone in the crowd said something
00:54:03that I cannot translate what it means here.
00:54:05And they go back to the mask.
00:54:08It's almost like I am pretty sure
00:54:09that they don't want to actually take the mask off.
00:54:11They are just playing mind games.
00:54:13It's the bravado here that we're talking about.
00:54:17And now the referee has a back turn to the action.
00:54:20Atlantis...
00:54:22trying to come in.
00:54:27As...
00:54:30Okamura and Laikos Jim try to get into triple team!
00:54:34But Atlantis knew it was coming.
00:54:36He's used to scenarios like this,
00:54:37especially in all the matches that he had.
00:54:39Catches Okamura with the Tijeras.
00:54:42And now Laikos II is alone in the ring.
00:54:45And that's not good news for the Rudo team.
00:54:50Huge monkey flip!
00:54:52Did you see the heart in that, Gideon?
00:54:55Absolutely brutal, David.
00:54:59Laikos II in all kinds of trouble.
00:55:00Here comes another one from Atlantis Jr.
00:55:04And he flies!
00:55:07Laikos II is in trouble.
00:55:11Defying gravity.
00:55:13And Atlantis is going to fly as well.
00:55:15Plancha on Okamura.
00:55:19Here comes Dolce Gardenia.
00:55:20This is the dropkick.
00:55:21Laikos II saw it coming.
00:55:23The Irish Rip actually gets Atlantis in.
00:55:27And there's the kiss.
00:55:28And there's the kiss that Gardenia has been waiting for.
00:55:30Super kick to Atlantis.
00:55:32Kid Laikos has the center of the ring right now.
00:55:34Rushes Atlantis!
00:55:37Who throws him out of the ring.
00:55:41Watch Gardenia going to the top rope.
00:55:43No, no, no.
00:55:44Beautiful moonsault.
00:55:48That leaves Atlantis and Kid Laikos II in the ring.
00:55:52That was beautiful.
00:55:54And he lands right on his feet
00:55:56while still suffering from that kiss.
00:56:00But Gardenia, he's still alive.
00:56:04Atlantis flies!
00:56:05What a plancha.
00:56:07Atlantis Jr. on the top rope.
00:56:09Big plancha up the top.
00:56:10Okamura catches him.
00:56:12Gets the boot.
00:56:14Atlantis.
00:56:16Beautiful movement.
00:56:17Shoots the hips into a powerslam.
00:56:19And he's going to follow through.
00:56:21Da Banderas to the outside.
00:56:22Positions Atlantis Jr. beautifully
00:56:24on the top rope.
00:56:27Is he going for it, Gideon?
00:56:30Frog Splash gets it.
00:56:35And that's it.
00:56:37Atlantis Jr. gets the win for his team.
00:56:41In a beautiful six-man tag.

00:57:33It was an incredible team.
00:57:35Very hard to beat.
00:57:37And they're going to come back later today.
00:57:39Not only that, no handshake at the end.
00:57:41I'm a very happy man, David.

00:58:28scheduled for one fall.
00:58:32And this match is under lucha rule!
00:58:40Introducing to the ring first...
00:58:47XRG!
00:58:50Well, David, speaking of the
00:58:53Revolution Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions...
00:58:58The Americans are coming!
00:59:02Zack Gibson!
00:59:08Have they lived long enough there?
00:59:10A chain strike.
00:59:11Have they lived long enough there to the Americans
00:59:13know what's happening here?
00:59:15Do you think they call it soccer now?
00:59:16I think they do.
00:59:18With their soccer scarves.
00:59:20Making their way into the ring,
00:59:22they are your undisputed
00:59:25pretty tag team champions!
00:59:28On the poles, number one,
00:59:30Zack Gibson!
00:59:32He's from Florida.
00:59:33And James Drake!
00:59:35Grizzled Young Veteran!
00:59:42And trust me, David,
00:59:44nobody was more surprised than me
00:59:47to find out Grizzled Young Vets
00:59:50did not stand for Grizzled Young Veterinarians.
00:59:53Why Veterinarians?
00:59:55Vets.
00:59:56Oh, vets as in...
00:59:57Okay, I thought they were just very friendly
00:59:59with Lyco shit.
01:00:00I mean, they could have been.
01:00:01They could have.
01:00:02That would have been a hell of a team.
01:00:05From two champions, we look
01:00:08at someone who is looking at becoming a champion.
01:00:11Absolutely.
01:00:13The referee was right here on your call.
01:00:16Luke Jacobs won the Revolution Rumble
01:00:18and he made a promise to everyone in attendance
01:00:20and everyone watching.
01:00:21He would fight for the undisputed
01:00:24British Heavyweight Championship
01:00:26at Copperbox.
01:00:27He is North West strong!
01:00:31He is one half of the Engines!
01:00:35He is the 2024 Revolution Rumble winner!
01:00:41Luke Jacobs!
01:00:49Luke Jacobs has guaranteed his place
01:00:52at the Copperbox.
01:00:54However, what's not a guarantee
01:00:56is who Luke Jacobs is going to face.
01:00:59Hell of a lot of wrestling
01:01:00between here and there, David.
01:01:02He may be facing Oliver Guerrero
01:01:03for all we know.
01:01:05Right.
01:01:06Let me talk about these refs
01:01:07coming out here right now.
01:01:08Futuros.
01:01:10Actually, the teams
01:01:11that we are about to introduce
01:01:12are the future of CMLL.
01:01:15Making his way into the ring,
01:01:19The Daughters!
01:01:24Are we playing these all three of them?
01:01:27Already being touted as the people
01:01:30that CMLL is going to be built around.
01:01:35As the year goes by,
01:01:37and the years go by,
01:01:38the next generation of Lucha Libre
01:01:42is Industry or Futuro.
01:01:45It is 100% a huge part of it.
01:01:48Another one is this man
01:01:49coming out right now, Neon.
01:01:51You know what it stands for?
01:01:53I'm guessing it stands for organ, David.
01:02:09Because you see,
01:02:10the mask, the lights.
01:02:12I get it, I get it.
01:02:19So that his light can shine
01:02:21even in the darkest of places, David.
01:02:23Wow!
01:02:24And the future for Neon is bright indeed.
01:02:27Wow, okay, that one I did see coming.
01:02:30Neon!
01:02:33Jesus Christ!
01:02:34What?
01:02:35Do you see how he opened the ring?
01:02:38These guys are just so athletic.
01:02:40The thing is,
01:02:41they are fresh out of training
01:02:43for Lucha Libre, right?
01:02:45Not the broken back yet,
01:02:47not the knees gone yet.
01:02:48I don't understand what you mean,
01:02:49but it's not even that.
01:02:50It's the influence of the newer styles
01:02:55in their own training.
01:02:57These are people who only,
01:02:59you have to do this to be able to be a star, right?
01:03:04But a lot of people
01:03:06are looked at as part of the future,
01:03:09but only one man
01:03:11is seen all around Mexico
01:03:14as the actual future.
01:03:16Already a star
01:03:18who has graced it with his presence
01:03:20several times before here at EFRO.
01:03:23Máscara Dorada returns to your call,
01:03:26sorry, returns to EFRO
01:03:28and they infuse at your call.
01:03:31As he continues to make his name...
01:03:33Making his way into the ring,
01:03:36Máscara Dorada!
01:03:41As he continues to make his name
01:03:43and climb the ladder
01:03:45to become the number one luchador.
01:03:49And let me tell you,
01:03:51with his work ethic,
01:03:52with his ability,
01:03:53it may really be only a matter of time, Gideon.
01:03:57It wouldn't surprise me
01:03:59in the slightest, David.
01:04:04In Mexico there's a
01:04:07certain movement,
01:04:09like underground movement
01:04:11that's getting,
01:04:12that's basically
01:04:14being around Máscara Dorada, right?
01:04:17That is of support
01:04:19and the people who are now
01:04:21placing their bets on him,
01:04:22making sure that he is
01:04:24who they support and their favorite for the future.
01:04:26It's very...
01:04:27There's huge parallels between that
01:04:29and Luke Jacobs
01:04:30and the journey and the placement
01:04:31that he is in right now,
01:04:33in his journey
01:04:35and in his future.
01:04:36Like, there is no denial
01:04:38that Luke Jacobs
01:04:40is a huge part of the future,
01:04:42not just of REF PRO,
01:04:43but of wrestling around the world.
01:04:45Listen,
01:04:46you say it,
01:04:47Luke Jacobs knows it in his bones.
01:04:49Immediately saying,
01:04:50I'm starting.
01:04:51I'm starting against him.
01:04:53I've had a chance to say it
01:04:55when Andy Quildon...
01:04:56I hope Andy Quildon is OK.
01:04:57I don't know where he is,
01:04:58but I hope he's having a good time.
01:04:59I hope he's not.
01:05:00I think that he's having a terrible day, David.
01:05:02I've had a chance to say
01:05:04when I was sitting next to Andy Quildon
01:05:05how every time Luke Jacobs
01:05:08is able to achieve
01:05:10what is a huge milestone in his career,
01:05:11it seems like
01:05:13that translates to
01:05:15more confidence.
01:05:17And the man that entered the Revolution Rumble
01:05:19is not the same that got out of it
01:05:21after that win.
01:05:23He is at the height of his confidence.
01:05:25He is at the height of his ability.
01:05:27And he will be a huge part
01:05:29in this match.
01:05:31Maybe the most powerful
01:05:33of the wrestlers here.
01:05:34Definitely
01:05:37winning the best striker
01:05:39of all six.
01:05:40And listen,
01:05:41Luke Jacobs is no slouch
01:05:43when it comes to that Wigan style of wrestling,
01:05:45if you know what I mean.
01:05:46Luke Jacobs,
01:05:47truly, truly,
01:05:48one of Britain's best
01:05:50when it comes to wrestling.
01:05:52Truly going to be interesting
01:05:53how those styles
01:05:55clash in the ring.
01:05:57Luke Jacobs is known
01:05:59for being hard-hitting
01:06:01and
01:06:03mostly like a huge striker
01:06:04in big explosive offense.
01:06:06Just lifting up Luke Jacobs
01:06:07with ease from that guillotine.
01:06:09Beautiful Northern Lights
01:06:11from Ascara Dorada.
01:06:15He may not be known, Luke Jacobs,
01:06:16as a grappler
01:06:18the way that, for example,
01:06:19the Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Breaks is,
01:06:20but he knows how to grapple
01:06:21and he can use that.
01:06:22We just saw that here.
01:06:23But hey,
01:06:24Ascara Dorada is trained
01:06:25by some of the greatest grapplers
01:06:27in the world
01:06:29in and around Lucha Libre as well.
01:06:31And he was able to win that interaction there.
01:06:35Strong lock-up
01:06:36in the center of the ring
01:06:37from both men.
01:06:38Luke Jacobs overpowering.
01:06:40And look, he's changing his game plan.
01:06:42He has to go for something different.
01:06:44I think I know what Luke Jacobs is thinking of.
01:06:46Come on, hit him with a chop.
01:06:47Go ahead.
01:06:48Do it.
01:06:49Do it.
01:06:50Come on, Luke.
01:06:52I guess Ascara saw it coming as well.
01:06:54As Luke sends Ascara for the rope.
01:06:56Strikes for the tackle.
01:06:57Doesn't fall down.
01:06:58Luke definitely the most powerful of the two.
01:07:00Ascara Dorada is still in this though.
01:07:02Goes for a drop-down.
01:07:04Big leapfrog.
01:07:06Catches the feet.
01:07:07And runs.
01:07:08Strikes a sliding D.
01:07:09Doesn't get it.
01:07:10Gets that beautiful arm drag.
01:07:12And is able to evade the lariat.
01:07:15And Luke Jacobs
01:07:16gets taken down.
01:07:18Still coming through and chasing him.
01:07:19Goes for the single leg takedown.
01:07:22Misses the kick.
01:07:23Ascara Dorada goes for an arm drag.
01:07:25Luke Jacobs more powerful.
01:07:26And rams him.
01:07:27Head first into the ring.
01:07:29Kicks him.
01:07:30And shows.
01:07:32A bit of Luca Libre there.
01:07:35I love it.
01:07:36This wasn't announced as a lucha rules.
01:07:40A tag team wrestling match.
01:07:41And lucha rules.
01:07:43But I believe it still is.
01:07:46For now.
01:07:48All participants of the match are.
01:07:52This may have been a mistake.
01:07:54Staying outside.
01:07:55Not interfering.
01:07:59Hey.
01:08:00If you're going to try and chop Luke Jacobs.
01:08:02Luke Jacobs is going to hit you right back.
01:08:04He finds that as permission.
01:08:07To go all in with his strikes and slams.
01:08:11Listen.
01:08:12Luke Jacobs is someone where he will let you hit him.
01:08:14As hard as you can.
01:08:15Just to test you.
01:08:16Just to see how hard he's going to have to hit you back.
01:08:22Beautiful opening stretch here in this match.
01:08:24It might open and no one else in this match may come in.
01:08:27As we go for the first cover of the match.
01:08:30After that suplex.
01:08:31Luke Jacobs in control of Ascara Dorada.
01:08:34Listen.
01:08:35This is a question of stubborn pride for both men.
01:08:37I don't think either one of these guys.
01:08:39Is going to be the first one to slide out under the bottom rope.
01:08:42Or get out the ring.
01:08:43In order for someone else to take over.
01:08:45They're both going to want to be in there against each other.
01:08:47As long as possible.
01:08:48Ascara Dorada now.
01:08:50Using the ropes to his advantage.
01:08:52And gets.
01:08:53Beautiful.
01:08:54The Tijeras.
01:08:55Follows it up with a drop kick.
01:08:57To the arm of Luke Jacobs.
01:08:59Loses his balance.
01:09:00Goes outside.
01:09:01Ascara Dorada.
01:09:02This is the one thing he's going to have to do.
01:09:03If he wants to.
01:09:05Take Luke Jacobs down.
01:09:07Rotating plancha.
01:09:10Gets him the advantage.
01:09:12And turns this around.
01:09:14In favor of the Mexican team.
01:09:16As opposed to the international team.
01:09:18Of G.I.V. and Luke Jacobs.
01:09:20Of course.
01:09:21The friends across the ocean if you will.
01:09:26Luke Jacobs catches him.
01:09:28Jesus Christ.
01:09:30Huge back elbow.
01:09:32And Ascara Dorada has just enough space.
01:09:34To get out of the ring.
01:09:35And in comes James Drake.
01:09:37And in comes Futuro.
01:09:44Typical Yank.
01:09:45Trying to one up someone else.
01:09:48Also that traditional Yank gesture at the end as well.
01:09:51Of course.
01:09:52Yes.
01:09:55Head scissors here.
01:09:56By James Drake.
01:09:58Futuro with beautiful agility.
01:10:01And flexibility getting out of the head scissors.
01:10:03With a nip up.
01:10:05And also very powerful.
01:10:07He's able to send the bigger James Drake down.
01:10:10The movement goes up.
01:10:11James Drake loves to hurt it as well.
01:10:13Goes for the monkey flip.
01:10:15But gets evaded.
01:10:16Catches the waist.
01:10:17Changes the direction to the corner.
01:10:19Futuro saw it coming.
01:10:21Lured him in for the elbow.
01:10:22Climbs up the middle rope.
01:10:24And jumps.
01:10:26You got to leave it to the professionals Futuro.
01:10:28Why it's called high risk.
01:10:29That would never happen to me.
01:10:31Hey James Drake.
01:10:32Absolutely taking advantage of that one mistake from Futuro.
01:10:36But Futuro now holding on.
01:10:38Trying to get himself back in a stronger position.
01:10:41James Drake blocking the suplex.
01:10:42Trying for one of his own.
01:10:43No blocked.
01:10:44Spins out.
01:10:45And ducks under that clothesline.
01:10:47Big drop kick from Futuro.
01:10:50And sometimes in there.
01:10:51This is.
01:10:52This is exactly.
01:10:53Sorry go ahead.
01:10:54Please.
01:10:55This is exactly what we're talking about.
01:10:56When it comes to having the fast style.
01:10:58And trying to outpace your opponent.
01:11:01And how much that is the meta of Lucha Libre.
01:11:04And when it comes to that.
01:11:05Even if James Drake is one of the most explosive.
01:11:07And fastest wrestlers that we have here in Ref Pro.
01:11:09At the end of the day.
01:11:10Futuro was just that much faster.
01:11:12But the tag I believe did happen.
01:11:14Zack Gibson is now the legal man.
01:11:16Along with Neon.
01:11:18I would love to see Zack Gibson try and do that.
01:11:21Hey listen.
01:11:22If he does.
01:11:23I'll be very impressed.
01:11:24There it is.
01:11:26Showing him how it's done.
01:11:27Does Neon.
01:11:28Still.
01:11:29A lot of showcasing.
01:11:30Zack Gibson is able to grab him.
01:11:32But didn't see that chop coming.
01:11:33Did he hear that Gideon?
01:11:34Absolutely.
01:11:36Catches him with a Tijera.
01:11:38Zack Gibson is out of the ring.
01:11:40In comes.
01:11:41James Drake.
01:11:42And Luke Jacobs.
01:11:43But Futuro catches.
01:11:45As well as Mascaradona catches.
01:11:47Both of them.
01:11:48Into an arm drag.
01:11:50The Mexican team is in the ring.
01:11:53And your call comes alive.
01:11:55As the three youngsters from CMLL.
01:11:59Hit.
01:12:00Blanches to the outside.
01:12:07To the delight of your call.
01:12:11I mean they are a very delightful crowd.
01:12:14That was a lie.
01:12:15I hate them.
01:12:24And they're not finished yet.
01:12:26No.
01:12:27Sliding out underneath with that.
01:12:30Drop kicks.
01:12:31But everybody in trouble now.
01:12:33Luke Jacobs.
01:12:34Straight shoulder first in the corner.
01:12:45Oh Jesus Christ.
01:12:49All the way to the outside.
01:12:51James Drake goes to drop that foot.
01:12:53In the back breaker.
01:12:56Of Zack Gibson.
01:12:58And it's just picking apart a carcass at this moment David.
01:13:03Hell of a way to turn this around.
01:13:10And James Drake coming in.
01:13:13Competent obviously.
01:13:14Tag team champions.
01:13:17Huge spin kick from James Drake.
01:13:22Send through the ring.
01:13:23No.
01:13:25Not able to keep Futura down for the three.
01:13:34But this is where the tag champions are so dangerous.
01:13:37Just that quick in and out offense.
01:13:39Isolating the opponent.
01:13:40And Luke Jacobs.
01:13:42No stranger to bullying people himself.
01:13:45He loves it.
01:13:46Of course.
01:13:47He loves to beat people up.
01:13:48He lives for it.
01:13:49It's part of the reason why he's so successful.
01:13:51Listen.
01:13:52You say a lot about the Lucha Libre stylings.
01:13:55Of that speed and high flying offense being the way to one up each other.
01:14:01Let me tell you.
01:14:02In England.
01:14:03It's often the case of just patting each other as hard as you possibly can.
01:14:07And showing up that way.
01:14:09Who can hit the hardest?
01:14:11Who can withstand the most pain?
01:14:13And this I feel right now is going to play into the international squad strength.
01:14:18Beautiful double underhook suplex from Zack Gibson.
01:14:22Shades of Billy Robinson.
01:14:24But Futura still not staying down.
01:14:26Center of the ring.
01:14:30This is where GYV are very comfortable.
01:14:34Just isolating one of his opponents.
01:14:37Making sure that Futura stays in the ring.
01:14:41And look at this outside.
01:14:42I know the cameras aren't catching it.
01:14:43But Luke Jacobs just went to the Mexican corner.
01:14:46And he's beating up Máscara Dorada and Neon.
01:14:49Welcome to England, Max.
01:14:50Jesus Christ.
01:14:51What is he?
01:14:52What is up with him?
01:14:54Luke Jacobs is a bully.
01:14:56Look at that.
01:14:57Hey, listen.
01:14:58And GYV are loving it.
01:15:00Like James Drake is just clapping.
01:15:01I mean, they are not known for being the nicest of people in that ring.
01:15:06But this is exactly what needs to happen.
01:15:08And I do understand the strategy in a way.
01:15:10Because there doesn't need to be a tag for someone else to become illegal in this match.
01:15:14If Futura can find his way out of the ring.
01:15:17Then immediately one of the other.
01:15:19It doesn't matter which way.
01:15:20Immediately one of the other wrestlers can come in and become legal.
01:15:22So it's very smart.
01:15:24Not just for GYV to keep Futura in the middle.
01:15:27As he goes for the submission here.
01:15:29And Futura gets the ropes.
01:15:30But also for Luke Jacobs to just keep his opponents down.
01:15:32And not being able to see if and when Futura is able to sneak out of the ring.
01:15:37Did you see the hands of GYV there though?
01:15:39You'd be forgiven, of course, in thinking that was a half crab by him.
01:15:43But he was going for that high angle knee slice.
01:15:46Just getting the blade of his arm in the knee of Futura.
01:15:51And just trying desperately to stretch and grind the thigh and calf against his arm.
01:15:58Just causing immense pain to his opponent.
01:16:01Futura did well not to tap out there.
01:16:03These are the differences maybe in philosophy and style when it comes to Mexican grappling.
01:16:09Versus the grappling that is taught here in UK and in Europe.
01:16:12Much rougher, much more trying to find sneaky ways of adding more pain and punishment like that.
01:16:20By the European contingent.
01:16:22Where in GYV's style in lucha it's about the creativity.
01:16:26And the way you can manipulate the body and surprise your opponent in such different ways.
01:16:31Using more of your general limbs, arms and legs as hooks.
01:16:36As Futura is able to hit the beautiful dragon suplex.
01:16:39To try his best to get in.
01:16:41Máscara Dorada, which he does.
01:16:43Zack Gibson knows he can come in.
01:16:45That doesn't need to be a tag.
01:16:47Tornillo arm drag.
01:16:51Zack Gibson regretting doing it as Máscara Dorada flies with a plunger.
01:16:55Luke Jacobs.
01:17:00Arguing with the ref as Máscara Dorada celebrates with the audience.
01:17:03Is Luke Jacobs going to do a dive?
01:17:05Is he going to do a suicide dive?
01:17:06No he's not because Máscara Dorada saw it coming.
01:17:08And it isn't like being made fun of like this.
01:17:11Máscara Dorada holds Luke Jacobs.
01:17:15And Zack Gibson in place as Futura.
01:17:17Oh my god.
01:17:20The Tornillo hits Máscara Dorada as well.
01:17:23I think Zack Gibson and Luke Jacobs were able to manipulate Máscara's body to also take a big part of that.
01:17:29Listen, you put yourself in harm's way.
01:17:31Sometimes it doesn't work out for you.
01:17:33It's big risks as Neon jumps.
01:17:36Beautiful double springboard moonsault.
01:17:48And Neon gets the adulation of your call.
01:17:54And I think they're not done.
01:17:56Oh my god, Gibson, what is Máscara Dorada thinking?
01:18:04Big shooting star.
01:18:06From the second rope outside the ring all the way to the floor.
01:18:13Shooting star plunger by Máscara Dorada.
01:18:20It's Máscara.
01:18:24I'll let it slide.
01:18:25Hey listen, some people say Máscara, some people say Mascara.
01:18:28Some people are right, some people are wrong.
01:18:30It's the Mexican team in the ring, in control.
01:18:34James Drake isolated, getting a taste of his own medicine.
01:18:38And the three youngsters from CMLL bringing part of the Lucha Libre indefensive offense.
01:18:43Caught him into the monkey flip.
01:18:45Caught him into the sit-down powerbomb.
01:18:50Standing shooting star press and they move James Drake to the position for Futura to hit a huge splash.
01:18:58The cover by Neon.
01:19:01And James Drake is still in this.
01:19:03Beautiful resilience by the refrotacting champion.
01:19:06But I think that may just have shown a bit of that, not inexperience, but a bit of the youngness from Futura there.
01:19:14Almost tripped over the referee in his haste to get out of the ring,
01:19:17which caused the referee to slow his count just a split second, which cost his team there, David.
01:19:24Futura, Neon and Mascara Dorada continue to punish and work on James Drake.
01:19:31This time with variations of splashes and forearms in the corner.
01:19:36And what is happening here?
01:19:40No, no, no. Stopped by Zack Gibson and Luke Jacobs.
01:19:43Stops. No, no, no, no, no.
01:19:45They return and all six are in the ring now.
01:19:47Big superplex.
01:19:48Holy crap.
01:19:49Luke Jacobs hits Futura with a superplex and joins Zack Gibson as they position Mascara Dorada and Neon on their shoulders.
01:19:56GYV are known for this.
01:20:01Double Doom!
01:20:03Jesus!
01:20:04Stay the voice!
01:20:07And those larynx were on point.
01:20:12Luke Jacobs and GYV working together.
01:20:15Grit your teeth, they say, and they catch Mascara Dorada.
01:20:20Hold them up in position for Luke Jacobs.
01:20:23Jacobs! Huge larynx!
01:20:27And that's it.
01:20:33Sometimes swatting someone as hard as you can pays off, David.
01:20:44Jacobs!
01:20:49The international team claiming victory for just pure brute strength, David.
01:20:58There was a period there when the Mexicans seemed to have James Drake isolated.
01:21:06They tried to up the offense to be able to get the win.
01:21:11But as soon as Zack Gibson and Luke Jacobs return, it's almost like they try to find the best spot to come back in.
01:21:18Catch them by surprise.
01:21:20Bring in huge superplexes.
01:21:23The double Doomsday Device, the combination of Grit Your Teeth and the Lariat gives the RefPro team the win
01:21:32as they continue to build on their momentum for their future here in RefPro and around the world.
01:21:42And still York Hall loving the presence of the CMLL contingent here.
01:21:53The adulation, the Mascara Dorada, Nione Futura are getting is beautiful.
01:21:59And it's not the only time because they're going to come back later today.
01:22:02And we're going to be here at RefPro On Demand most of the time.
01:22:05People in England may butcher names left and right, but at least they show appreciation where it's due.
01:22:10At the end of the day, professional wrestling is professional wrestling.
01:22:13And when it's good, it's good.
