On September 17, 2024, thousands of pagers/beepers owned by Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon exploded causing deaths and wounding thousands. Hezbollah vowed "fair punishment" against Israel which is suspected of causing them to explode. Some Jews claimed this killing was like what happened when God sent an angel to destroy the army of Assyria King Sennacherib in 2 Kings 19--was it? Or could it be consistent with a Roman Catholic warning that near the end of the world Israel would commit "a terrible crime'? On September 18, 2024, Hezbollah owned walkie-talkies exploded killing more people and wounding hundreds. Hezbollah then vowed "harsh punishment" against Israel. Some Syrians and Iranians were affected by these explosions. On September 20, 2024, Israel bombed a building in Beirut, killing various ones associated with Hezbollah. Could these attacks in the Summer of 2024 be the start of a broader regional war? Hezbollah reportedly has 130,000 rockets and missiles--will Israel's 'Iron Dome' system stop all destruction from them if they are launched. But does the prophet Isaiah warn that an Iranian-Syrian-South Lebanese confederation will cause great damage to Jerusalem in Isaiah 22:1-14? 00:10Dr. Thiel, the news is getting worrisome in the Mideast.
00:14Can you shed some light on these recent pager explosions for us?
00:19On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, thousands of pagers or beepers exploded and affected
00:27people who were part of Hezbollah.
00:30Roughly 3,000 people were injured and many were killed.
00:34And basically Hezbollah said they blamed Israel for this and said it's going to get its fair
00:39punishment for what it did.
00:41Now they were already angry with Israel.
00:44Then the next day, the 18th, walkie-talkie type things started to blow up.
00:50And Voice of America reported Hezbollah said Wednesday it would continue to fight against
00:55Israel in support of Hamas, militants in Gaza, and that Israel should now await harsh
01:00punishment.
01:03Having to wait for harsh punishment is pure torture in itself.
01:07It's like when your mother says, wait till your father gets home.
01:11Where did these pagers come from?
01:13They seem to come from a European company that has a license from a company out of Taiwan
01:19called Gold Apollo.
01:23And Reuters reported that Hezbollah reported about 5,000 beepers several months ago.
01:30And they got this supposedly from this Taiwan company.
01:33But in reality, they're made by this place called BAC.
01:35It has a license to use its brand.
01:38But beyond that, there was no more details.
01:43Why not use cell phones where you are certain of the manufacturer instead of using pagers?
01:49Because they felt that with cell phones, their locations could be tracked.
01:53And that was one of the reasons that they wanted to use these beepers.
01:58Now it was reported, quote, the Mossad, which is an Israeli group, injected a board inside
02:04of the device that has explosive material that receives a code.
02:08It's very hard to detect by any means, even with devices such as a scanner, according
02:13to a report as reported by Israel 365 News.
02:18Well, at least Israel 365 News seems to have a lot more information on these pages than
02:23Reuters report.
02:25Israel 365 News know who committed the attack?
02:28Well, it says that the source of the attack is still unknown, but Israel typically doesn't
02:33comment on military operations outside its border.
02:38But also they mentioned the attack came just a few hours after Israel designated the halting
02:43of Hezbollah's attacks as one of its main war goals and announced it foiled an assassination
02:48attempt.
02:49Anyway, Israel 365 also said the spontaneous elimination of 5,000 enemy soldiers without
02:57the use of weapons is reminiscent of the sudden destruction of Sennacherib's army as related
03:03in 2 Kings 19, associated with Jerusalem and King Hezekiah.
03:08That night an angel of Hashem, or God, went out and struck down 185,000 in a Syrian camp.
03:16Next morning they were all dead corpses.
03:18When Sennacherib rose the next morning, he found dead corpses in place of his mighty
03:23army.
03:25Is Israel's 365 News drawing the conclusion that an angel of Hashem modified the circuit
03:32boards?
03:33No, they think it was some physical person like Israel.
03:36However, they quoted Rabbi Yosef Berger, who said that the victory was divine.
03:42Quote, we've been sending prayers up to heaven and a message came down, albeit via beepers,
03:49and wiped out a huge chunk of Hezbollah's army.
03:54Now of course what happened, nothing like what happened with the Assyrian King Sennacherib
04:00and his army.
04:02We can read about this in 2 Kings 19, starting in verse 32, it says, Thus says the Lord concerning
04:08the King of Israel, if I could come in the city or build a siege against it, I'm going
04:15to defend the city and save it.
04:18It came to pass, verse 35, a certain night the angel of the Lord went out and he killed
04:24in the camp of the Assyrians 185,000.
04:27People rose the next morning, there were corpses.
04:29So Sennacherib, the King of Assyria departed, went away, returned home, remained in Nineveh.
04:34And it turns out when he was worshiping the temple of Nishrash, his God, a couple of his
04:40sons struck him down with a sword and they left.
04:44And so that was the end of him.
04:45But anyway, God did not send his angel down to make pagans explode and killed.
04:50This was not divine intervention.
04:54Later also, we see the addition of people in Lebanon, at least one Iranian and apparently
05:00multiple Syrians were also victims of this attack.
05:02Hezbollah was already angry with Israel.
05:05So what happens the next day?
05:08Walkie-talkies explode.
05:10Handheld radios from Lebanon detonated on Wednesday.
05:16And this killed at least 14 people and injured another 450, which increased what happened
05:23from what happened on Tuesday.
05:27It goes without saying that you don't believe for a second that Hashem altered these radios.
05:33Give us some background information on Hezbollah.
05:35Well, Hezbollah is a Shia Muslim organization, was established in the 1980s by basically
05:42a Shiite power, which one reason why it's connected to Iran, who funds it.
05:48It also has major political power in Lebanon.
05:52It's fought Israel before.
05:54It's believed to be one of the most heavily armed non-state military forces in the world.
06:00It's got an estimated 130,000 rockets and missiles.
06:06It also is believed to have some anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles as well as guided missiles
06:11capable of striking deep inside the nation of Israel.
06:16So Hezbollah has been around 40 years, is one of the most heavily armed non-state military
06:22forces in the world, and has over 130,000 rockets.
06:27In your opinion, Dr. Thiel, in the event Hezbollah brings harsh punishment to Israel, how will
06:32they accomplish it?
06:33Well, they'll most likely rain a volley of bombs and missiles on them fairly soon.
06:40And those in Jerusalem and not just the northern part of Israel should be concerned.
06:45And I also believe that Iran and Syria would become more directly involved.
06:50In Isaiah chapter 22, verses 1 through 14, the Bible shows that God will allow something
06:54that appears to be an Iranian-Syrian-Southern Lebanese confederation to strike the nation
06:59of Israel.
07:00Right now, I think those nations are talking to each other about what to do.
07:05Now Israel hopes, between its Iron Dome and U.S. assistance, it's going to be able to
07:09handle the attacks.
07:12Israel's Iron Dome is part of a multi-tiered missile defense system that Israel has, which
07:17includes something called the Arrow, the Iron Beam, and David's Sling.
07:24Do you think Israel will succeed in avoiding this harsh punishment?
07:29Well, in Isaiah 22, verse 9, it says great damage is going to happen.
07:35It says, quote, you also saw the damage to the city of David, that it was great.
07:40The city of David is Jerusalem.
07:43Now this pager attack looks to also turn more of the world against Israel.
07:49Now, interestingly, there's some Roman Catholic writings or prophecies that sound kind of
07:56like this.
07:57For example, there's an Abbot Hermann of Lenhin.
08:01He died in year 1300.
08:02He said, toward the end of the world, quote, Israel will commit a terrible crime for which
08:07it will suffer death, end quote.
08:10That's from a Catholic book, Imprimatur.
08:13And here's another one from a Roman Catholic writer.
08:16It says, after the birth of Antichrist, there'll be various ones, but toward the end of the
08:23world, the Jews are to commit some atrocious crime for which they'll be greatly persecuted.
08:28And sometime this is going to happen after socialism, or basically after communism is
08:34brought.
08:35Right.
08:36Okay.
08:37Now, when Hamas did its October 7th, 2023 attack, that day I posted, quote, a strong
08:46Israeli response may upset the world.
08:48Its response is considered to be some type of war crime.
08:52And according to people like Edward Snowden, he referred to this pager matter as a crime,
09:00so have others.
09:02And others are reporting this is a new phase of war.
09:07And the United Nations actually adopted a resolution demanding Israel entirely pull
09:13out of the Palestinian areas within a year.
09:16Now, they've been planning kind of a final showdown for quite some time.
09:22And this is one of the things that could be one of the last draws to get them to do, to
09:27do something.
09:28But Israel's hoping they're just going to get rid of Hamas and Hezbollah by doing all
09:32this.
09:33But the head of Hezbollah said these massacres amount to war crimes or declaration of war,
09:43promising, quote, a crushing response from the axis of resistance.
09:47So it sounds like he's saying that Israel and Hezbollah are now officially at war.
09:53Do you agree?
09:55Are Israel and Hezbollah officially at war?
09:58Yes, I would say so.
10:00The last few days have been definitely a new phase of war, an expanded regional war.
10:05Now, I warned earlier this summer that there are timing reasons why we might see an escalation
10:10of regional war sometime during the summer.
10:14And by the way, the summer doesn't end until tomorrow.
10:18So that, to a degree, seems to have happened.
10:21We've got a new phase of this war.
10:23It sounds like a larger regional war.
10:25While Israel believes it's winning, it's also triggered concerns around the world.
10:30And likely Hezbollah's allies are planning really violent responses.
10:34You say timing reasons.
10:37What timing reasons?
10:38Well, if Jesus is going to return in 2031, I've expected some kind of regional war would
10:45worsen and some kind of peace deal be proposed.
10:49And several responses and actions from Israel could have already been started at this week.
10:57We know some kind of a peace deal is supposed to be confirmed.
11:01And for Jesus to come in 2031, because it's supposed to be seven years after the deal
11:06of Daniel 9, 26, and 27, we would expect to see that deal sometime, perhaps in the next
11:13several weeks.
11:14Otherwise, we might be looking at a different time.
11:18Anyway, getting back to the war, it's escalated even further.
11:23On the 20th of September yesterday, 140 rockets were launched from Lebanon.
11:31But then Israel went and they attacked Beirut.
11:37They killed a bunch of other leaders over there.
11:40And so we are seeing massive escalation.
11:45Now, the United States warned both Israel and Hezbollah not to escalate.
11:53But both of them are doing it.
11:55For example, as you can imagine, the White House has warned both Israel and the Iran-backed
12:00Hezbollah group against escalation of any kind following this week's Pager and walkie-talkie
12:05explosions.
12:08But it's still happening.
12:11And here's another news report from yesterday.
12:14The Israel Defense Forces entered a new stage of conflict against Iran's regional terrorist
12:20proxies.
12:21Defense Minister Yoav Galat said, before more explosions were happening, says, I estimate
12:29we're beginning a new period in this war, he said.
12:33The center of gravity is moving to the north.
12:36This means that we're moving forces, resources, and energy to the north.
12:43Hezbollah is not Hamas.
12:45We need to take this into account.
12:46We need consistency over time.
12:48This war, this is what he's calling a war, requires courage, determination, and perseverance.
12:55And as I mentioned before, in Isaiah chapter 22, verses 1 through 14, we see something
13:02it looks like a regional war involving Iran, Syria, and southern Lebanon.
13:12And there's a confederation there that is going to attack and strike the nation of Israel,
13:19and Israel is not going to be able to stop it all from happening.
13:24And also yesterday, 14 people died in Israel's Friday attack in Beirut, according to the
13:33Lebanese health ministry.
13:36And they think they've killed a top Hezbollah military figure.
13:42So the question is, is Hezbollah just going to sit around, or are they going to do something?
13:47Well, I think Israel has done enough this past week that is provoking Hezbollah to decide
13:53they are going to do something.
13:56I believe that Iran, Hezbollah, and Syria are most likely consulting with each other
14:02basically right now to determine how and when to launch a major attack against Israel.
