00:00Heelfestival 2024 Shrewsbury, hello sir.
00:03Hello, how are we?
00:04I'm good man, what's your name?
00:06My name's Dean and I'm the festival director for Heelfestival.
00:11Fantastic, so what's Heelfestival all about then?
00:14There's something in the name there, fill us in a bit.
00:15Well, okay, Heelfestival was conceived a few years ago
00:19during the painful lockdowns everyone was suffering from.
00:23And I say suffering because it did really affect the mental well-being of a lot of people
00:27and caused division in society between the likes of anti-vaxxers and vaxxers,
00:33neighbours, family members even.
00:35So we came up with this idea, let's build a music festival
00:40with a wellness field attached to it and push the message of healing that divide
00:46by bringing all people back together in what unites us all,
00:50the love of music, the love of celebration and for that whole healing message.
00:55So that's how Heelfestival was devised and so that's why you will see various different
01:02artists that wouldn't necessarily sit among each other and on the lineup.
01:06We've got six stages, we've got dance music which will appeal to a certain age,
01:10you've got indie, you've got reggae, you've got rock, you've got pretty much everything.
01:15So it's a cacophony of musical sounds that will please almost everyone.
01:23The overall message is bringing back together unity and getting rid of those divisions.
