Online vs offline Apple apps for your business

00:15my work remotely I help my clients remotely with all their apps and Apple
00:21stuff and so on the issue is remotely and depending on where I am I sometimes
00:28don't have internet connection now that's kind of rubbish for doing remote
00:34work it is possible to do remote work without the internet because there's a
00:38phone right so you can I do phone my clients a lot of times but I also write
00:43emails when I don't have internet and it's waiting to be sent now if you have
00:51that as a an online app like G suite or if you use fast mail online or if you
00:58use any of your apps or emails online where you need a browser then you can't
01:05do any work if there's no internet connection then the other the the other
01:11school of thought is well if there's no internet connection you should you
01:15shouldn't work you should be away but that's not always possible because
01:19sometimes I want to be away but I need to be able to do my work away from the
01:26internet but so I need to be able to do my work doesn't mean I need to
01:29communicate with my clients I still need access to my database my contacts what
01:35I'm doing for the project I need access to all of that stuff but I can't do that
01:42with a lot of apps you can't do that with a lot of apps if they're online
01:47only if your SAS product is literally online like Basecamp for instance like
01:52ClickUp like Pipe Drive like Asana like a lot of these apps are pretty much
02:00online only so if you have no internet connection you're kind of screwed you
02:05do like you have to wait until you get to a place where you you have internet
02:09last year when I went away a lot of my apps didn't work but it was one app that
02:18did work I mean there's lots of apps that work but one app which was daylight
02:21I had access to all the projects and stuff so I could keep on working most of
02:27the Apple apps in fact all of the Apple apps even though they connect to iCloud
02:33they work offline so you you can use Apple notes you can use reminders you
02:39can actually use things three there are some third-party apps that you can use
02:43that don't need the internet connection the only issue is that if there's no
02:47internet connection you don't have it synced with your phone but if you've got
02:51your phone you can work on it you got your Mac you can work on it when you get
02:55internet connection then it just syncs so you've got to make sure that you can
03:01work anywhere if you are working remotely because remote work doesn't
03:06mean you have to have access to the internet with some apps you do but then
03:12that's a pain in the bum because you want to be in places that you know don't
03:17have internet connection sometimes but you still want to work it's kind of a
03:23double-edged sword in a way but if you choose the right apps for your business
03:31that sync when they have internet connection then you can work remotely
03:38wherever you are you don't have to worry about making sure you have internet
03:42everywhere so when you're going away this summer and you want to work make
03:48sure your tools do that otherwise you're stuck and you can't do anything
03:51your client will call you and say I need that report I need that piece of
03:56information and you have no internet connection you can't do anything I have
04:01to get back to you tomorrow because I'm on the road that kind of sucks but I can
04:06get all my information because all the tools that I have have all the
04:11information locally anyway with that have a great day and I'll see you in the
