But the war, which devastated Lebanese infrastructure, helped deter Hezbollah and won Israel peace on its northern border until last October, when Hezbollah began a campaign of rocket attacks to support Hamas in Gaza. 00:38Three decades ago, Israel managed to assassinate the main designer of bombs for Hamas.
00:47His name was Yahya Ayyash.
00:48He was known by the moniker of the engineer because of those skills and he was killed
00:55when his cell phone exploded apparently because a small amount of explosives had been put
01:00in the device and were detonated by a remote control from an airplane flying over Gaza
01:07listening in to make sure it was his voice on the phone at the time that it was detonated.
01:38As time goes by, Hezbollah will pay a growing price.
01:44At the same time, we will continue to make an effort to return the hijackers to their
01:49homes and to kill the Hamas organization.
