Lebanese eye doctor Elias Jradi spoke to CGTN Europe about the injuries caused by explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon.

Describing the emotional toll on medical professionals, Jradi said, "We have no choice but to remain together. No choice but to share the same blood, the same future, the same soul."

00:07We have to ignore the pain, we have to ignore fatigue feeling, and we have to be dedicated.
00:14As a doctor, somehow you are trained to dissociate yourself from this compassion with the patient, but it fails many times.
00:22When you see your young people coming to you, this is the future of your country.
00:26Perhaps your kids, your neighbor, your parents, you see them, it's very hard to dissociate yourself.
00:32They were part of my Lebanon, my dream, and taking care of them, I'm reconstructing, rebuilding my country.
00:40We have no choice but to remain together, no choice but to withstand this crisis together,
00:46no choice but to share the same blood, the same future, the same soul.
