00:19Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics Guidelines
00:23or AIGE is a framework for setting parameters for AI users in industry
00:29and a code of ethics as a regulatory measure for the responsible development
00:33and adoption of AI technology.
00:59We also need to ensure that every decision taken by the AI system
01:05is based on accurate and free data from any form of bias
01:11that can affect justice and equality.
01:16In addition, this guideline also emphasizes the importance of protecting
01:21privacy and personal data of users.
01:23In an era where data is a very valuable commodity,
01:28we need to ensure that the privacy of individuals is always respected and protected.
01:34He said this after launching the AIGE in Putrajaya on Friday
01:38together with Science, Technology and Innovation
01:41Minister Chang Lee Kang and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.
01:46Earlier in his speech, Chang also expressed concern
01:49of unethical AI usage is in the spreading of fake news,
01:54especially which uses deepfakes, impersonation of identities,
01:58fakery and manipulation of national sensitive data.
