South Street Park: We visit the cosy city park with a wellbeing café and a dog park

  • last week
Tucked away in Bedminster, between British Road, South Street, Palmerston Street and Sion Road, South Street Park was built after World War II.

The area used to be a cluster of terraced streets until they were destroyed during a bombing raid in 1945.

The rumble from the houses is under the mound in the Bark Park.

Nowadays, South Street Park is taken care by the Friends of South Street Park, a community groups located in Bedminster made up of local residents and other volunteers.

It’s a serene park with a vast open field, a playground and the Bark Park (a dog park).
