00:00Shout out Toxic in the chat, how's it going Toxic?
00:08Thank you for popping in one more time.
00:10You don't need the fantasy football help, I don't think.
00:13I didn't see actually the results from the Vampire League that we do for friends of the
00:20Twitch program here.
00:22But Toxic didn't need any help in week one.
00:26Oh, we had a bad week too.
00:27What happened Toxic?
00:29Who let us down here?
00:30Who let Toxic down in week two?
00:33Watching the show while eating brunch.
00:35Oh, shout out brunch.
00:38Thank you for doing that, I really appreciate it.
00:40What happened?
00:41Oh, we had a rough week.
00:42We had a tough one there, Toxic, that's fair.
00:45Mike Evans let us down, Jamar Chase let us down, Sam Laporta.
00:48It would be quicker to go through the guys who didn't let us down, that is fair.
00:52So today, we're going to help out people like Toxic who had a tough week too, people like
00:56me who had a very difficult week too, and hopefully people like you.
01:00So let's get into it.
01:01We will start at the quarterback position if you are looking for a quarterback streamer.
01:06If you are like me, in the Vampire League, and actually in a couple other leagues, and
01:10you have Justin Herbert, it might be time to move on.
01:13So we are going to look at a couple of quarterbacks that you should be looking at in fantasy football
01:18because there's a couple, there aren't a lot, admittedly.
01:23It feels like teams have been going a little bit more backup heavy in fantasy because the
01:29number of quarterbacks who are available in what meets our threshold of 35% or lower.
01:34There aren't many, actually, out there.
01:36But we do have a couple gems this week.
01:38At 5% owned, it's Gardiner Minshew.
01:40The Raiders offense finally started to look competent at the end of that game against
01:44the Baltimore Ravens.
01:46And this isn't a ringing endorsement of the Vegas Raiders offense or Gardiner Minshew
01:51as a fantasy quarterback.
01:53This is entirely based on the Carolina Panthers and how bad they are.
01:57The Raiders play the Panthers this week.
01:59The Raiders, who have scored, what is it, a combined 38 points in two weeks, are favored
02:04by 7 this week against Carolina.
02:07There is no anticipation that the Panthers are going to do anything well.
02:11Daniel Jeremiah was on Rich Eisen's show, and Daniel Jeremiah, I think, is one of the,
02:16I think, honestly, the best talent evaluator in broadcasting right now, and he said the
02:22Carolina Panthers are the worst, least talented team he has seen in 21 years around the National
02:28Football League.
02:29Tough to argue.
02:30And so you get a quarterback who can play them, you have him with Devontae Adams, who
02:35made an unbelievable catch to keep that game going for the Raiders on Sunday.
02:39Brock Bowers feels like a legitimate thing.
02:42And another thing working in Minshew's favor, this team can't run the ball for shit.
02:46So they have to throw it a lot as well.
02:47So I think that helps out Gardner Minshew.
02:49We go from one Raider quarterback to a former Raider quarterback in Derek Carr.
02:53He is 20% owned.
02:55And again, I know suggesting that you pick up Derek Carr is enough to make Toxic potentially
03:01choke on his brunch.
03:02Hopefully he didn't.
03:04But that's not something I anticipated doing two weeks into this season.
03:09But things are moving well now for New Orleans.
03:14Derek Carr hasn't let a drive this season that has ended in a punt.
03:18It has been nothing but points for him.
03:20That's probably going to change at some point.
03:22However, I don't know if that's going to be this week.
03:25We all last night saw Philadelphia's defense against what is left of Kirk Cousins.
03:31And there are, I think, some holes there.
03:33Two teams have now been able to pass on the Philadelphia Eagles.
03:37Mooney was wide open in big stretches of that game.
03:41And so I do think that there are going to be some options for Derek Carr to take advantage
03:44of.
03:45One thing we didn't necessarily anticipate with New Orleans offense this season is the
03:50breakout of Shahid.
03:52He has been a huge part of what this team is doing.
03:56The offensive line has held up.
03:58Kamara has turned back the clock.
04:00Olave with a much better week last week.
04:01But Shahid, I think, has unlocked a very interesting aspect of this offense as well.
04:06And so I do think you can buy into Derek Carr a little bit.
04:10Just a little bit.
04:11I even choked there.
04:12Just enough.
04:13We're not going to go too crazy on this one.
04:15But you are able to trust Derek Carr, I think, going forward.
04:19At the running back spot, Bucky Irving, 34% owned.
04:22The backup running back to Rashad White for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
04:26And White, for the second week in a row, looked relatively ineffective.
04:30Now, Detroit's front seven looked insane.
04:33Aidan Hutchinson was unbelievable in that game, almost setting the sack record for the
04:38Detroit Lions.
04:40And he, I think, single-handedly kind of blew up a lot of what Tampa Bay was looking to
04:46do.
04:47And so I don't know how much you can read into the running stats for that game.
04:53But I do think that, like, A, White is a little banged up.
04:56So I think that there is a path to some carries anyway.
04:58B, we've talked about it on here before, I don't know how great White is.
05:02And so I do think that there, this isn't, this one, actually, a couple of ours aren't
05:08really Christian McCaffrey replacements, necessarily, because the most, for the most part, like,
05:14the guys who are getting a bunch of the carries are taken, right?
05:18So we are trying to manufacture a little bit.
05:20I think Irving is going to have a piece of this offense, and so I do think that he is
05:23someone that you can go out and, that this one is a bit more of a longer-term play.
05:30But I do think he is worth owning in Fantasy Leagues.
05:33Ty Chandler.
05:34This one, it's not going to feel like the Christian McCaffrey replacement if you weren't
05:38able to get Mason at the beginning of the year, but I do think there are more carries
05:43coming for Chandler.
05:44Aaron Jones has been effective so far with Minnesota, but Chandler has 21 opportunities
05:49through two games.
05:51And that, I'm pretty sure most people calculate it like this, but the way I do, is carries
05:56and targets.
05:57Now, it's only three targets, but that still means 18 carries in two weeks for Ty Chandler.
06:02One of the things we talked about coming into the year is do not undervalue the backup
06:08running back, or the 1B, in some of these running back situations.
06:12And it has paid off with Zach Charbonnet, and I think it's going to pay off with Ty
06:15Chandler.
06:16I think that there are going to be legitimate touches for him on a week-in, week-out basis.
06:20And so I think if you're looking at the waiver wire right now for a piece to just plug in
06:26and play for a Christian McCaffrey replacement, or an Isaiah Pacheco replacement, you certainly
06:31can do that.
06:32I'm not putting Steele on this list.
06:34He is, I think, probably the straight line for Pacheco, and if you want to do that, fine.
06:39I just...
06:42I haven't seen enough from him to buy into it.
06:45And when we did see him, he has had some good runs, but he's also had some fumble issues,
06:51and he kind of... he is just a running back to me that is... and I could be wrong, because
06:56we've only had limited viewings of him.
06:59But A, he's not a running back, he's a fullback.
07:01But B, he kind of seems like a, coach told me to run here, so I run here.
07:07And if there is no hole here, well that's not my fault, because the coach told me to
07:11run here.
07:12There's supposed to be a hole here.
07:13He isn't really a create-his-own-whatever.
07:16He is a, I'm going to get what is blocked for me now.
07:19I'm going to run very hard into that hole, and maybe by the fact of being a bowling ball,
07:24he's going to get a few more options, but I don't think that he is going to be nearly
07:30as effective as Pacheco is.
07:32And honestly, I don't think they are going to just straight up replace Isaiah Pacheco.
07:36I think that A, it's going to be a wild committee for the 6-8 weeks that Pacheco has gone, and
07:41B, I think it's going to be like a lot of sweeps with Xavier Worthy, and quick little
07:45hitch passes and stuff like that.
07:47So honestly, the running back I would want in this scenario, and it's maybe that there's
07:51a confirmation bias because I ended up with P. Ryan in a couple of leagues, but I think
07:54it's Samaje P. Ryan, because I think a lot of the run game is going to be quick little
07:59Patrick Mahomes passes to Samaje P. Ryan, and so I think his value goes up a little
08:04bit.
08:05The last one is Cam Akers, 1% owned, but he looked fine in the limited runnings that we
08:10saw with him with the Texans on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
08:15He is not the explosive guy he was a couple of years ago.
08:18That is just how injuries work.
08:20But if Mixon's going to be out for any extended amount of time, I think he's the backup.
08:24Pierce is maybe a bit more of the appreciated name, but I think if this coaching staff trust
08:29Pierce, they wouldn't have signed Mixon and Akers.
08:32So I think that Akers is going to be the guy, and if Mixon misses time, which it sounds
08:38like he's not going to miss significant time anyway, but if there is any games missed,
08:45I think Akers is probably going to be the 1A in a 1A-1B situation with Pierce.
08:50You can maybe look at Pierce, who is banged up as well, so there might just be a wide
08:54open spot for Akers at least this week.
08:56At wide receiver, it's Quinton Johnston, 7% owned, 11 targets in two weeks for LAC.
09:03He has been getting a lot of very good looks.
09:05He has been getting some good looks in the end zone as well.
09:07We all were kind of waiting to see who would be the main target with the LA Chargers, and
09:11it's only two weeks, so this might change, but for right now, Quinton Johnston feels
09:15like he is that guy.
09:16Now, this week's against Pittsburgh.
09:19I don't know how many looks you're going to get against Pittsburgh.
09:22This feels like a very low-scoring football game, but I do think Quinton Johnston should
09:26be that guy that you go out and try to get.
09:29Josh Reynolds is another one.
09:3013 targets in two weeks with Bo Nix.
09:33Cortland Sutton, I think, is the most talented wide receiver out in Denver, and so I think
09:37as the season goes on, that's going to grow a little bit more and a little bit more and
09:41a little bit more.
09:42And I do think, like, he had, he, sorry, being Sutton, I think he had double digit targets
09:49in week one, and only four in week two.
09:51I do think part of that is Pittsburgh's defense kind of recognizing like, hey, if we just
09:56cover that guy, we're probably good, right?
09:58But there is at least a comfort level with Nix and with Reynolds, and I think there's
10:02going to be at least some opportunities for Nix to get Reynolds the ball.
10:07I do think Nix is going to get a little bit better.
10:08I don't think he's all that great, and I think Sean Payton is wildly overrated, but I do
10:14think that there are going to be at least a few opportunities for Reynolds in the offense
10:18to get this thing going.
10:21And then at 2%, it is Jawan Jennings.
10:24Nine targets in two weeks, now that Samuel is out, he's the guy.
10:28He's the guy who steps in.
10:29Obviously the hope would be Ricky Pearsall, but he is continuing to recover with what
10:34happened to him right before the season started.
10:38Brandon Ayuk hasn't really clicked in a couple of weeks.
10:41I do caution against thinking that this is going to just replace the Debo Samuel targets.
10:47That's certainly not going to be the case.
10:49This offense in general is not going to be as effective without Debo and without Christian
10:53McCaffrey.
10:54I think Jawan Jennings is at least fine, and at least going to get some opportunities in
10:56what will still be a good offense.
10:58Moving to the tight end spot, there is just one.
11:01It's Mike Gesicki at 5% owned.
11:02He has 13 targets in two weeks.
11:04Burrow was absolutely looking for him.
11:06This was a safety blanket for him.
11:08I don't think this is a full season thing.
11:11As Higgins gets healthier, gets more integrated in the offense, he's going to take a lot of
11:17these passes.
11:19But for now, he's not.
11:20So, I think Gesicki is a real viable option.
11:24There was a lot of work for him out there.
11:27He is not a dynamic tight end by any stretch of the imagination, but he's fine.
11:30We've seen him produce before.
11:32We can trust Mike Gesicki.
11:34And lastly, the defense.
11:36It's the Vegas Raiders.
11:37Again, I'm not going to tell you a whole lot of times this year to pick up the Vegas Raiders
11:41defense, but they're facing Carolina this week.
11:44And I get Andy Dalton is stepping in for Bryce Young.
11:48I don't think a lot of the issues out in Carolina are necessarily the quarterback.
11:52Now, the quarterback isn't helping.
11:53But the offensive line sucks.
11:55The receivers are better, still not great.
11:58They're having trouble running the ball.
12:00This is not… this isn't a situation where it's, oh man this team was a quarterback
12:05away.
12:06There are 22 starting positions out on the football field.
12:10Andy Dalton being the quarterback I think means that they are about 20 players away.
12:15This is a bad football team.
12:17So I think the Raiders are going to be able to go out and really put up some fantasy points
12:22this week with Max Crosby taking advantage of a bit more of a statuesque quarterback
12:27in the backfield.
12:28And I do mean that in a negative way.
12:29So those are the fantasy football ads that I think you should do.
12:32If you have any questions about fantasy football, let me know in the chat and we'll see if
12:37we can answer some of those.
