A giant asteroid the size of a stadium is speeding towards Earth at 40,000 km/h! While NASA says it poses no immediate threat, any small shift in its path could change everything. Plus, skywatchers can enjoy a rare lunar eclipse and supermoon on the same day! Don’t miss this incredible celestial event!

00:00NASA has just issued an alert about a stadium-sized asteroid set to make a close approach to Earth
00:05this Tuesday. Meet Asteroid 2024 ON. This massive space rock is nearly 950 feet across,
00:13making it 99% larger than most other near-Earth objects. It's currently zipping through space
00:18at a mind-blowing speed of 40,000 kilometers per hour.
00:22But don't panic just yet. Even though 2024 ON will come within 1 million kilometers of
00:27Earth—about 2.6 times the distance to the Moon—NASA assures us that it poses no immediate
00:34risk. However, a small change in its path could lead to major consequences in the future.
00:39This isn't the asteroid's first close call with Earth. It last passed by in 2013 and
00:44will return in 2035. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see it without a telescope, but
00:50don't worry—there's still something for skywatchers.
00:54On the same day, a rare partial lunar eclipse will coincide with a supermoon full moon visible
00:59across Europe, Africa, and parts of the Americas and Asia. And later this month, another asteroid,
01:05much smaller at just 10 meters across, will temporarily become Earth's mini-moon for
01:09two months. Stay tuned for more cosmic action.
