00:00I'm Hiroyuki Sanada. I came to AMES for Shogun.

00:05Shogun got so many nominations and obviously this is the second project to do Shogun,

00:10but you got to do it your own way. What was special about that for you?

00:14Yeah, we tried to make it authentic as much as possible.

00:18So as a producer, I could, you know, hire Japanese actors for Japanese roles

00:25and bring the Japanese crew who is a specialist for the samurai drama.

00:32So we had a great team, you know, working with the Western cast and crew

00:39and Japanese cast and crew. It was like a dream team for me.

00:43And it was so helpful to make authentic.

00:47Now this whole week the talk of the town has been Shogun.

00:51And obviously Season 2, I heard some little buzzes that we may be heading to Japan.

00:58Yeah, not sure yet, but we are discussing.

01:02Because last time, because of the pandemic, we couldn't shoot any scenes in Japan.

01:09But now we can plan.

01:13And now for the next season, I know that you guys are,

01:17it's going to be a continuation of the story from Season 1.

01:20What can you tease as far as like what we can expect?

01:24We don't have any more novels.

01:29We finished at the end of Season 1.

01:32But we have the real history and the real models.

01:36And we know what happened.

01:38So we can create original fictional entertainment with the Shogun taste

01:46and the quality with the real history.

01:49So it's going to be a fun project for me.
