00:00Previously, we said goodbye to Jessie and Paige.
00:04Nothing is more important than your mental health,
00:07and it is a big decision and a brave one that you both made.
00:10It's been such an experience.
00:19And we said hello to Maddie and Charlotte.
00:21So nice to meet you.
00:22Nice to meet you.
00:23This is crazy, Charlotte.
00:24You're Charlotte?
00:25Yes.
00:26And you're Maddie?
00:27Yes.
00:28Are you nervous?
00:29It's just the block.
00:30Just the block.
00:32But it didn't take long for the newbies to get offside
00:35with their inherited builder.
00:37Just talk to me, and I'll tell you if we can achieve it
00:39or if we can't.
00:40I don't care what you want to do.
00:42Just don't can me on TV, or I'll just call the pin and walk off.
00:47And it was a tie for main bedroom week.
00:49The winner of week five on the block is, by half a point...
00:56That's bad.
00:58It's a tie between two and five.
01:05Tonight, it's a brand new week.
01:08We are doing kitchen.
01:10All right.
01:11Week six, kitchen.
01:13This year's charity challenge gets underway.
01:16This is a meeting room.
01:17It's a hangout room.
01:18It's a dining room.
01:19There's a bar and a kitchen.
01:21It's also a training facility.
01:23We love doing this kind of thing.
01:24We love serving in our community.
01:26So this was such a cool experience.
01:28We have a visit from Block Royalty.
01:30It's a super cave.
01:38And Dan goes head-to-head with Greg.
01:40You look at authority like it's nothing.
01:41No, I don't.
01:42There's a reason why we do this.
01:43Have I ever looked at authority like this?
01:44And you've disrespected me.
01:45I'm not playing the game.
01:46I'm not playing the game.
01:47Well, there you go.
01:49It's week six on the block,
01:51and our teams are about to begin the room reno
01:54that will mark the halfway point of the competition.
01:57Up for the girls in house one,
01:59this will be their first full week.
02:02And they're being welcomed in true block fashion.
02:07Bright and shiny.
02:09Ooh, that's very bright.
02:12First, a few things.
02:16First official week on the block, bright and early, 6am.
02:20How are you feeling after your first judging?
02:22Yeah, pretty good.
02:24It's not our best work.
02:25Maybe that would just be nice to us.
02:28But, um...
02:29They can see the vision.
02:31Yeah.
02:32And today's the first time the girls will get the chance
02:35to check out the competition,
02:37and the domain open for inspections.
02:39First up are the boys in house three
02:41who didn't finish their main bedroom and walk in roving time
02:45and came in last with 21.5 points.
02:48Wow.
02:49That's the hero of the room.
02:51That is a lot of time and effort and craftsmanship.
02:55I wonder if the time and effort into that feature
02:59is the reason why we don't have sheer curtains hanging.
03:02I'm trying to understand why they've put carpet
03:06coming straight from the bathroom.
03:08I would have put timber here.
03:10Wow.
03:11Whoa.
03:12Wait, this is amazing.
03:14They've done such a good job.
03:16Whoa, look at the ceiling.
03:17That would have been so hard.
03:19That's so cool.
03:20Oh, my gosh.
03:21I think the judges were kind of harsh on them.
03:23Yeah.
03:24Wow.
03:25Oh, boys.
03:26Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
03:28Absolutely stepping it up.
03:30They didn't get to finish, darling.
03:31That's so sad.
03:32I feel for them.
03:34They actually would have had a really nice room
03:36if they finished it.
03:37Yeah, they got so close.
03:38Why did they get such bad scores?
03:40This is really coastal.
03:42How good does that look?
03:44I like that.
03:45I really like that.
03:46Oh.
03:47Ah!
03:48Oh, love.
03:49This is stunning.
03:51I do know what they mean with the carpet,
03:53but, like, it's actually quite nice to feel carpet on your feet,
03:56isn't it?
03:57Yeah, but that is from a wet area.
03:58And if you're doing floorboards,
03:59why would you not just do floorboards the whole way?
04:01Yeah, I don't quite understand that.
04:02But having three different floors.
04:03It feels nice.
04:04Next up, the teams are heading into house four.
04:07Who came in third with 27.5 points?
04:11I am so in love with this.
04:15Oh, my gosh.
04:16Yum.
04:18I'm walking in here with a burgundy smoking jacket.
04:23I am at Chateau Marmont.
04:25And I've just been to see Tom Ford.
04:29It's tailored.
04:31The tailored man.
04:32Tom Ford is a look.
04:33What are they?
04:34Tom Jones?
04:35Is that their style now?
04:36Tom Jones.
04:37Yeah, I don't know.
04:38Roger Seller.
04:39Someone like that.
04:42Chuck Norris.
04:43Oh, this is the makeup bar.
04:45Oh, my God.
04:46This is a dream makeup area.
04:49Wow.
04:50This is stunning.
04:51Absolutely stunning.
04:52That's a Tom Jones jacket.
04:55Tom Jones shirt.
04:58They've got both sides open.
04:59I would have had maybe some closed.
05:01Do you know what they offer as well?
05:03Glass doors.
05:04No, glass doors.
05:06Yeah, this is full Tom Jones.
05:08No wonder they're the new Tom Jones stylists.
05:10All right.
05:11Right on.
05:12Tom Jones.
05:13Good work.
05:14Well done.
05:15It's Tom Ford.
05:16Tom Ford.
05:17Tom Ford.
05:18Where's Tom Ford, mate?
05:20Did he play footy for Geelong?
05:23Last night, we had a tie for first place.
05:25So let's see what the teams thought of Courtney and Grant's main bedroom,
05:29which received 28 points.
05:31They've created a mood.
05:32They've got the essence.
05:34This is nothing we've ever seen before, and I am absolutely adoring it.
05:39It's just at a different level.
05:41These guys are operating in a league of their own.
05:43Whoa.
05:44This guy smells good in here.
05:46Again, open and closed, though.
05:49What?
05:50Oh, it's to a texture.
05:51Oh, my God.
05:52I didn't see this.
05:54Oh, my God.
05:55I love that.
05:57Who wants to come in here and do their makeup?
06:00It takes the grandeur away from it.
06:02At least they've got one bun.
06:03Yeah, true.
06:04And the stone.
06:05Oh, my goodness.
06:06Yeah, that's cool.
06:07And they've done that in the bathroom, too.
06:09Stunning.
06:10Wow.
06:11Wow.
06:12This is literally incredible.
06:13Man, you can't even see your head.
06:15That is not full length.
06:17No, it's actually not bad for me.
06:19I'm probably better from, like, the neck down.
06:25I love this room.
06:26Wow.
06:27This is so good.
06:28I think this definitely deserves a 10.
06:30100,000%.
06:31Look at all the intricate details.
06:33It's pretty epic, isn't it?
06:36They've done well.
06:37You can see why it's a winning room.
06:38Yeah.
06:39It looks amazing.
06:40Wow, they have done such a good job.
06:42Wow.
06:43I don't know if coming to these things makes me more terrified.
06:47House five, Christian and Mimi also receive 28 points
06:51and equal first place.
06:53This is so calming.
06:54It's so beautiful.
06:55That artwork, it is gobsmackingly beautiful.
07:00Wow.
07:01Oh, my gosh, the bedhead.
07:03The bedhead's nice.
07:04Oh, that's so nice.
07:06Oh, yeah.
07:08Good on them.
07:09It's the rake ceiling.
07:10Yeah, it's the grandeur of it.
07:12And the fact that that, like, it's good planning,
07:14like, the porter to go all the way up like that.
07:17Wow, I love the colours.
07:18They've done that so well.
07:20She definitely has an eye for style.
07:22They're slamming it, these guys.
07:24Mm, doing really well.
07:26Whoa.
07:27Walking robe.
07:28How good is that?
07:29Literally walk in.
07:30Oh, look at this robe, though.
07:32This is the kind of robe I would want.
07:34These wardrobes are beautiful.
07:36It freaks me out because I'm like, holy moly, like, how can...
07:39A lot of competition.
07:40Like, how can I even create something
07:42that's on the same, like, level as this?
07:45This is unfinished.
07:46Where?
07:47The entire edge of the ceiling isn't done.
07:50It's not cut in.
07:52The doors aren't done.
07:53The trims aren't done.
07:54Can we tie with someone when the painting is done?
07:56The trims aren't done.
07:57The shadow lines are all unfinished.
08:04Grant, we're not judges.
08:05Look at the door.
08:06Look at the door, though.
08:09The hinges are a different colour.
08:12I don't get it.
08:13The doorstop...
08:16The doorstop's not in.
08:19But we got pulled apart
08:20when our doorstop was in the wrong spot.
08:22I'll give it to people when I think their rooms are better,
08:24but I just truly feel that this week
08:26has been ours outright.
08:27I'm going to quote you on something you said
08:30this morning on Open for Inspection, Grant.
08:32Yeah.
08:33I've been robbed.
08:34Sucked.
08:35I've been robbed.
08:36Sorry, what did I say?
08:37That room sucked.
08:38I've been robbed.
08:39That room sucked?
08:40Did you say that room sucked?
08:41I didn't say that room sucked.
08:43Yeah, that's the quote.
08:45Nah, that's wrong.
08:47I didn't say that room sucked.
08:48Roll the tape.
08:49Please do.
08:51Please roll the tape.
08:52I'll admit when I've said something,
08:53and I'll admit when I haven't said something.
08:55I won't say it sucked.
08:56I believe ours deserved the outright win,
08:58just based on the finish.
09:00Well, that's a f***ing joke.
09:04That's a crock of s***.
09:05I'll say it.
09:06I don't care.
09:07We'll say it in front of the camera too.
09:10Even without the painting finish,
09:12that was a dog-ugly room.
09:17Like, you know when you just feel really confident
09:19in your styling?
09:20Like, I think our styling was nailed.
09:22Taking over house one,
09:24halfway through last week's build,
09:26was Maddie and Charlotte.
09:28And with only three days at their disposal,
09:30they managed to come in fourth on 24 and a half points.
09:34Let's just acknowledge how much room
09:38they had to do in how little time they had to do it.
09:41That's absolutely amazing.
09:44This is just such a fantastic result
09:46for the constraints they had.
09:48From what I'm seeing now,
09:49Maddie and Charlotte could be a real contender
09:51to take out this competition.
09:52You've been here three days,
09:53and you're giving them that call?
09:55Well, look at it.
09:56They've done this in three days.
09:58So after impressing the judges in their first week,
10:01the rest of the blockheads now have the chance
10:03to see what they're up against with their new competitors.
10:07How did they get this done in that amount of time?
10:12Like, they started painting at 3.30.
10:15They started really well.
10:16It's going to be interesting to see
10:17what they do in a full week.
10:19Room for activities.
10:20Everyone's got room for activities in their room.
10:23Room for activities.
10:26Very good, girls.
10:27There's all this space.
10:28What are they going to do here?
10:30Interpretive dance.
10:32So much room for activity.
10:33So much room for activity.
10:35I reckon these girls are going to be
10:37some competition for sure.
10:38If they've smashed this out in...
10:40If they can produce this in three days.
10:41Yeah.
10:42They will be.
10:43And you can see sort of what they're going to do.
10:46Yeah, it's not going to be much fun to watch them.
10:48No.
10:49Not when they've got a full week up their sleeve
10:51and they can create this in three bloody days.
10:54Now that our teams have had a chance
10:56to assess the newest threat in the competition,
10:59it's time for everyone to crack on with this week's room.
11:03This morning I woke up and jumped on the domain app.
11:07Do you want to have a guess before I press it?
11:09Kitty.
11:10Okay.
11:11Kitty.
11:12Okay.
11:14Ah!
11:15We are doing kitchen.
11:17Alright, week six, kitchen.
11:20Kitchen week is probably the most important.
11:23They say that...
11:24Kitchens sell houses, so...
11:26People will just spend the majority of their time in that space.
11:29Kitchen is the biggest thing in a house.
11:31The heart of the home, the kitchen.
11:32The heart of the home, they say.
11:33Can't have a home without a kitchen.
11:36I could.
11:37I just need a microwave.
11:38So our teams are aware that kitchens sell houses
11:41and this year there's been no expense spared
11:44when it comes to fitting out their space.
11:46Scotty budgeted $12,000 for this week.
11:49That's right, Mimi.
11:50There's 12 grand from the ComBank budget.
11:53So the $12,000 doesn't account for all the sponsored clubs,
11:56so like Kingsman, Cosentino, E&S,
12:00which we're, like, so grateful for.
12:03Back in week two,
12:04I sent the teams off to their Kingsman consults
12:07at Cosentino to design their kitchens.
12:10This is definitely the type of place I get asked to leave.
12:13Welcome to Cosentino.
12:14Thank you. We're excited to be here.
12:16This could look really impactful.
12:18Definitely.
12:19Yeah.
12:20They also visited E&S to select their appliances.
12:23Pick whatever you want.
12:24Anything.
12:25I've just spoken to the powers that be.
12:27Whatever Asko have.
12:29All right, let's go crazy.
12:31You've got an unlimited budget.
12:32You can get the FlexiPad and what you can do...
12:37..TwistPad here.
12:38We just select that and you're up the power level.
12:41We have an ABI one-of-a-kind gold zinc.
12:44Oh, that is incredible.
12:46Did you have a colour in mind from a design perspective?
12:49I think I do like that.
12:50That one's definitely my favourite of the colours.
12:58We'll take it.
13:00LAUGHTER
13:02Oh, God.
13:03Mimi is about to design Shrek's kitchen.
13:11We are upstairs with our kitchen.
13:13We've got a nice long island bench.
13:15Then we've got a walk-in pantry with two integrated fridges.
13:19We've got a wall oven.
13:21We've got oven-cooktop combination.
13:23We've got a range hood.
13:25Oh, it's a massive kitchen.
13:27We're going to have a really long island.
13:29It's going to be about four metres.
13:31I really want marble to be a bit more of the feature.
13:34OK, so this week's going to be a big one.
13:36And especially in our house design,
13:38you walk in the front door and it hits you right in the face.
13:41It's an entertainer's kitchen.
13:43Three ovens and built-in coffee machine.
13:45You've got, you know, the Bluetooth induction cooktop,
13:48two dishwashers, double fridge, wine fridge, butler's pantry.
13:52I think we've thought of everything
13:54in terms of an entertaining kitchen, right?
13:56Yeah, and the colours, I think, will last for a long, long time.
13:59What's your overall aesthetic?
14:01Dark, moody texture.
14:03The kitchen is going to completely show them
14:06our entire style in one room, like right there.
14:10So it's sort of more of a galley kitchen.
14:12So we're doing a standout piece with the island vent.
14:15We're doing a gold sink and gold tap.
14:18We're planning on doing a mix of different blacks
14:21and then just mixing some softness
14:23with a little bit of textured timber
14:25on the back where the range hood is.
14:27So it's nice to actually finally start bringing it all in together
14:30and letting everyone sort of see
14:32where we've been trying to take the home, I guess.
14:35That's a winning piece of stone right there.
14:37Yep.
14:38We've got a grand design that we've put together
14:40with Kingsman and Constantino, and we are ready to deliver.
14:43Grand.
14:44We've got a nice, massive 3.8-metre curved bench
14:47with a port of timber wrapping around.
14:49It's going to have nice curves to it as well.
14:51It's a plain bench, so nothing on it.
14:54No sink, no cooktop, everything's on the back wall.
14:57So when you're catering, all the food can be laid out on that whole bench.
15:03All your joinery is coming tomorrow morning.
15:05Yeah.
15:06That's pretty much indicative of what it will be.
15:08OK, that's beautiful.
15:09Getting this kitchen right is super important,
15:11especially being a holiday house
15:13and it being like an open living concept.
15:15Except that we didn't design it.
15:17That's right, the girls didn't design the kitchen
15:20because back in week two, previous contestants,
15:23Jessie and Paige, had their consult with Kingsman.
15:26Do you like that?
15:27Do you know what?
15:29I do.
15:30I love it.
15:31Oh!
15:32I'm actually just, like, blown away.
15:35So our kitchen will have some cabinets
15:40where, I'm not sure, it will have a sink, a cooktop,
15:45an integrated fridge, probably.
15:48An integrated dishwasher.
15:49I'm really not 100% sure of what is coming.
15:52It's going to be a surprise to us all.
16:00You too can get exclusive access to this week's room
16:03by heading to domains in the Know Hub.
16:06It's the go-to website where every Monday,
16:08contestants can find my tips,
16:10plus all they need to know for another big week of renovations.
16:15Light and easy, always fresh.
16:18Ready?
16:19Ready.
16:20Need a bonky on the head?
16:22Yeah.
16:23I'm excited.
16:25Did you have to break something?
16:26Yeah.
16:27Yeah, we got to pull the first High Pages lever of the series.
16:30Super invigorating.
16:32Run.
16:33Back in week two, we reintroduced the High Pages lever.
16:38The High Pages lever is back.
16:43This year, the High Pages lever
16:46has been assigned to a particular room.
16:49And our blockheads decided the best way to allocate the rooms
16:52was to pull house numbers out of a hat.
16:55Leaving at a chance, wowee.
16:58We're locking in backyard week.
17:00We're front yard.
17:01Living and dining.
17:02Bumpers.
17:03Kitchen.
17:04Of course, I took charge of that and I sledgehammered the glass.
17:09And pulled the lever.
17:11Done.
17:12Let's go.
17:13Let's go.
17:14I'll be happy to break them all if we need to.
17:16They can have it, but I'll just do the sledgehammering of the glass.
17:22We thought we'll go on SOS on our mezzanine level at our house.
17:26And Scotty arrived.
17:28I saw that from miles away.
17:31And I came soon as I saw the signal.
17:34Oh, I love it.
17:35The signal.
17:36Wow.
17:38We've got a very big space down there.
17:40So are we looking at plastering?
17:42For this week, I think just help with the plaster.
17:44Yeah.
17:45Big area.
17:46OK, well, I can post for plasterers.
17:48Calling in extra plasterers at this point
17:50just because of the scale of the room.
17:52So I think it's going to be a massive help if we had a few more people.
17:55And this year, in addition to $10,000 of High Pages tradies,
17:59the teams will be receiving $5,000 cash.
18:02Pulling the High Pages lever, it comes with five grand cash.
18:06Yes.
18:07So this week's room, so what are you going to do with that?
18:09Something to do with the island bench, whether it be stools, the pendant.
18:12I like it.
18:13You like it?
18:14I do.
18:15Good.
18:16OK, I'll go and post.
18:18Heaps of money on Kitchen Week, so we better win.
18:20So I'm posting Kylie and Brad's plasterer request on High Pages.
18:24The easiest way to connect with trusted tradies.
18:28While Scotty books in the job,
18:31let me tell you about Phillip Island.
18:35It's an island.
18:38And that means we need lifesavers.
18:43So that gave my mate Scotty Cam a great idea.
18:48Rise and shine, Blockheads.
18:49We have a wonderful chance today to help out our local community.
18:52Slip on these stylish uniforms.
18:54Slap on some sunscreen.
18:55Slap on a hat.
18:58Or that thing.
18:59Why are your shorts so short?
19:01They're probably too big.
19:03See you at Cape Woolamai Beach.
19:05Excited to see everyone there, Scotty.
19:07This does not look warm enough.
19:10Oh, cute.
19:13Do I have to put this on too?
19:22I look like a ballpoint pen.
19:24Well, look at you. You look fantastic.
19:28Welcome to Woolamai Beach.
19:31Now, Shelly sends her apologies.
19:33She couldn't make it today.
19:35But we have Keith.
19:38Keith is here.
19:39Now, behind me is the Woolamai Surf Club.
19:43Volunteer non-profit organisation.
19:45They are a fantastic organisation
19:47that has performed countless rescues,
19:49saved thousands of lives along the way.
19:53The literal beating heart of the community here with me is Jason.
19:57Jason is the president of the Surf Club.
20:00Jason, how can we help?
20:02Well, Scotty, thanks for coming down today.
20:04We'd love it if you can help us out a bit.
20:06As you said, we're a volunteer organisation.
20:08We've been serving the community here at Woolamai for 65 years.
20:12Our clubhouse is about 20 years old and needs a bit of TLC.
20:16We'd love it if you could do a few things to help us out,
20:19give the place a little bit of a lift
20:21and make it a better place for our volunteer lifesavers
20:24to patrol from and lifesave from.
20:27Mate, not a problem.
20:28Your challenge today is to breathe new life
20:32into the main function area up in the Surf Club.
20:35Now, there are two areas up there to be done.
20:38So I'm going to split you into two teams.
20:41And to determine the two teams,
20:44you are to pick the strongest swimmer in your group.
20:50It was cold, windy.
20:53The surf was going absolutely ballistic.
20:56I was very concerned that they were asking us to get in the water.
21:00You are to swim out there to that line.
21:12Woolamai Surf Beach, it looks like a giant washing machine
21:18with, like, 6½ foot swells.
21:23That's not where you want to be swimming.
21:25No, of course not. You're not swimming out there.
21:28We're going to play a game of poison ball
21:31to see who wins.
21:33And you will pick your team and pick your area as well.
21:36But wait on, Scotty, the teams won't be even.
21:38I know. I'm glad you said that, Keith.
21:40The teams will not be even.
21:42But I thought of that. And I've got a plan.
21:46WHISTLE BLOWS
21:53Who's up?
21:54Oh! Kyle and Cara.
21:56Stop it!
21:58Kyle and Cara.
22:00Kyle and Cara rocked up on...
22:02It was like...
22:03It was like the opening of Baywatch.
22:06I could hear the tunes in my head.
22:08Like, everywhere...
22:11No, it was just, like, slow-moing down the beach.
22:15CHEERING
22:19Kyle and Cara were a standout in their season back in 2014.
22:24My mind is just blown.
22:26You did the best room ever in any elimination.
22:32With a perfect score, the Super Ks.
22:39Ladies and gentlemen, it's the Super Ks.
22:43Hey, Kyle and Cara, thanks so much for coming down here.
22:47Welcome back to the block.
22:49And thanks for coming to help out the Blockheads
22:51in this very, very important challenge.
22:53Thanks so much for having us, guys.
22:55That was fun.
22:56The winner of this game will learn the help of all-stars Kyle and Cara.
23:00They will also choose their team-mates
23:02and choose which side of the surf club they work on.
23:05Each team will get a budget of $5,000.
23:09The team that does the best area and wins this challenge
23:13will win a massive $10,000 cash from ComBank.
23:18And the kicker is that the team that's got Kyle and Cara
23:22doesn't have to share the money with them.
23:25Are you ready to fight for Kyle and Cara?
23:28Yeah!
23:29All right, Poison Ball it is. Let's go.
23:31What's the rules of Poison Ball?
23:33Don't get hit.
23:35If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
23:40MUSIC PLAYS
23:46Run!
23:47Go on, go on!
23:49SCREAMING
23:51SCREAMING
23:53Right, there you go. Go, go, go!
23:55Go on, go on!

24:25SCREAMING
24:27SCREAMING
24:29Is that a bob?
24:31I'm not.
24:33It was above the waist.
24:35Above the waist doesn't count.
24:37Well done!
24:39Well done, Courtney!
24:41Oh, no!
24:43Go, go, go!
24:45SCREAMING
24:47SCREAMING
24:49SCREAMING

24:55MUSIC PLAYS
25:01SCREAMING
25:03Victory!
25:05Victory!
25:07Nice, Hayden!
25:09Luckily, Hayden can dodge wrenches,
25:11because I can't.
25:13MUSIC PLAYS
25:17I won, of course.
25:19Came down to the last two.
25:21Brad got absolutely nailed.
25:23There's a cracking shot.
25:25I think it was the same bloke, too, that got you.
25:27Yeah, he was a sniper.
25:29If he's as good at life-saving
25:31as he is throwing a dodgeball,
25:33wow, that dude can save lives.
25:35Right-o, fellas, well done. Congratulations.
25:37You have won the Super Ks.
25:39Team Ricky and Hayden, and you have one more choice
25:41for a team member. Who's it going to be?
25:43Brad and Kylie.
25:45Brad and Kylie. OK, that is team
25:47Ricky and Hayden, and the other team.
25:49LAUGHTER
25:51Let's go, the other team! Off you go!
25:53No worries.
25:55WHISTLE BLOWS
26:01It's Monday afternoon,
26:03which means the Blockheads' build teams
26:05are busy getting their subfloors down.
26:07It's always a great day when there's a challenge on
26:09and there's no contestants here,
26:11cos things happen quick.
26:13Not only do the 96 builders
26:15get so much done,
26:17but the contestants' builders get so much done.
26:19And everyone's had an epic day.
26:21There's floors going down everywhere.
26:23Well, except for House 3.
26:25Normally, you start
26:27from the ground and work yourself up,
26:29but Duncan's had this genius idea
26:31he's going to start from the top and work down.
26:33So he's actually plastered his ceiling
26:35on a Monday, and then he's going to do
26:37the floor Tuesday,
26:39in hope that come Wednesday, the boys can start
26:41spraying all of their ceiling
26:43and walls before joinery.
26:45Genius idea if it pays off.
26:47Whilst it's full steam ahead
26:49at the Block, it's time
26:51for the teams to get stuck into their challenge
26:53at the Woolamai Surf Lifesaving Club.
26:55You've got to think
26:57about the functionality of this
26:59space, OK? This is
27:01a meeting room, it's a hangout room, it's a
27:03dining room. There's a bar and a kitchen.
27:05It's also a training facility
27:07where young people are taught how to be lifesavers.
27:09At the same time that we're bringing functionality,
27:11we want to keep the spirit and the culture
27:13that's existing in the club.
27:15Let's call it contemporary
27:17casual. As you can see,
27:19I have divvied the room up with my
27:21line all the way through here.
27:23You guys have got the choice.
27:25Ricky and Hayden, which side do you want?
27:27Mate.
27:29Yeah, we're definitely taking the side
27:31with the bar, mate.
27:33If anyone can organise the best place for Sunday drinks,
27:35it's us. Copy that. You've got this
27:37side, you guys have got that
27:39side. It's a great cause.
27:41Put your heart and soul into it. Good luck.
27:43So with the help of the Super Ks
27:45and Kylie and Brad,
27:47Ricky and Hayden's team will take on
27:49the island side of the surf club,
27:51which includes the dining area and the
27:53all-important bar. Now the team
27:55will take on the ocean side,
27:57which includes the function space and lounge
27:59area. While the Blockheads get
28:01stuck in, our friends from Combank
28:03are providing a team to spruce up the
28:05bunk rooms. I'll tackle the kitchen
28:07and Keith and the boys from nine and
28:09six will make over the outdoor
28:11barbecue area.
28:13I like this. We've got the bar, we've got the
28:15fridge, we're half stocked full of drinks
28:17already. We know bars,
28:19generally we spend most of our time
28:21on one side of them though, so it will be interesting
28:23to be on the other side. But the secret
28:25weapon is Kyle and Cara. Like, Kyle's
28:27a weapon at building and Cara
28:29is a superstar stylist, so she had plenty
28:31ideas. I wonder if you could build in
28:33like a bench seat along here.
28:35Maybe we can find out if we can build something in.
28:37Yeah. Like then we can style it with
28:39oceans and yeah. Design-wise
28:41it's just trying to stick with more of a coastal
28:43look and bring a bit more mood into the club.
28:45Some sort of dark blues and
28:47adding a lot more colour into the area.
28:49Lighting and fan and bringing
28:51the bar to life. Like a nice bench top,
28:53some really phenomenal
28:55stools. Feeling confident, yeah, feeling
28:57good. Very confident. Yep.
28:59Confident with a K. We got the K
29:01team, not the A team.
29:03Making me feel fuzzy
29:05guys.
29:13Our area is
29:15function room and the lounge area.
29:17Chill out area here. This could be our
29:19feature wall. What are your initial
29:21thoughts? Paint.
29:23I want to paint tonight. The plan
29:25is to bring a bit more of the
29:27club inside. Incorporate the
29:29history to memorabilia at the club
29:31and that's a big thing we wanted to incorporate into our
29:33site. The space is nice and open.
29:35We're doing like lounging area.
29:37Maybe some nice sheets.
29:39We're going to have a nice
29:41To help our teams deliver a
29:43reno, the surf club truly deserves
29:45I've organised some help from our
29:47amazing friends at
29:49Freedom, Shots, Beacon and
29:51Big Ass Fans.
29:53Our teams will also be selecting
29:55some new roller blinds and sheer curtains
29:57by the team at Home Pro
29:59like DIY Blinds.
30:01What's that one?
30:03Linen. You know I love a linen.
30:05Yeah. And you know I love a linen.
30:07Yeah. And you know I love a linen.
30:09You know I love a linen. Yeah.
30:11And is this going to be like hard wearing? Hard wearing.
30:13Great for this area. Very durable.
30:15Cremo Recycled Ducket.
30:17Let's do it.
30:27We've got all our planning locked in.
30:29Yeah, we're painting tomorrow night.
30:31Go team. Go team.
30:33Woo!
30:35Woo!
30:37That didn't work out well at all.
30:41G'day gang.
30:43Can I introduce the man himself
30:45as I live and breathe
30:47Christian Cole. Welcome mate.
30:51How are you? Good, how are you?
30:53I know, long time no see. Good to see ya.
30:55Christian, this is Ricky.
30:57Thanks mate. Jeez Ricky, what's going on there?
30:59I'm about to put my safety boots on.
31:01I love those.
31:03The man himself, probably the greatest
31:05timber man I've ever met.
31:07Kinsmen are going to do the cabinetry
31:09underneath, correct? Correct.
31:11We need a bench top mate, like magnificent, stand out.
31:13Bit of wow factor. I've got some old recycled
31:15timber here, it'll be a fair bit lighter than that.
31:17I think it'll look really good.
31:19Awesome mate. How long have I got?
31:21We'll need it installed Wednesday evening.
31:23Righto, so today's Monday, righto.
31:25Lucky I've got some quick drying glue.
31:27We just met
31:29Christian Cole, so he's taking
31:31charge of that bench top.
31:33Kinsmen cabinetry going in.
31:35Mr Cabinets are going to do us a nice
31:37entertainment area. We've got some
31:39lovely shears and some roller blinds
31:41going in to just enhance the visual
31:43a little bit more. And we're going to use some of Kyle's
31:45skills to build us a nice bench seat.
31:47It's going to run along the back wall.
31:49Got to take advantage when we can.
31:51So can we start drawing up, work out what we want,
31:53pick some finishes and hit the ground running.
31:55Cool.
31:57Meanwhile, on the other team, sisters
31:59Maddie and Charlotte are getting right
32:01into the charity spirit.
32:03We love doing this kind of thing. We love serving
32:05in our community, so this was such a cool
32:07experience. And to know that we could have
32:09such an impact on the space that
32:11they spend so much time in. And probably for future
32:13years, for like years and years to come.
32:15So many more Surf Lifesavers
32:17will be coming through this space as well.
32:19So that was really... Yeah, we loved it.
32:25Now our regular viewers will be aware
32:27that every week we treat our
32:29winners to a night away from the block.
32:31A night of the finest of locations
32:33with the finest foods
32:35and of course the finest company.
32:37And why should that be
32:39any different for last week's joint winners
32:41Courtney and Grant and Christian and Mimi.
32:45The winner's dinner.
32:47You got to go away with Scotty.
32:49Oh no, you didn't.
32:51You got to go away with Scotty.
32:53You got to go away with Scotty. Oh no, you didn't.
32:55We didn't have a
32:57winner's dinner. We felt like that would have been a
32:59really good winner's dinner too.
33:01And we would have loved to go away with Mimi and Christian.
33:03Because we drew
33:05we had to
33:07cook dinner.
33:09I don't know how that surprised.
33:11Well, let's be fair, you didn't just
33:13get to cook, you also
33:15got to shop for said dinner.
33:17Lamb, garlic, tomatoes.
33:19Is that enough?
33:21We're getting a lot of people. Maybe get two.
33:23I reckon we get another leg of lamb.
33:25I want cutlets. No.
33:27And share said dinner with all your
33:29fellow blockheads.
33:31Dinner is served.
33:33Mimi and Grant
33:35came out with
33:37a big feed
33:39for the table. Somehow they managed
33:41to get to find the time to cook
33:43us a massive feast
33:45on the same day we're doing a challenge.
33:47Ready?
33:49I'm sick.
33:53Okay, so the wait
33:55staff might be a bit substandard.
33:57But we didn't skimp on the
33:59special guests. Cole and Cara
34:01are our special guests. Yeah, I managed to get a
34:03seat next to Cara, so I'm pretty excited about this
34:05dinner. We actually have a present for you
34:07guys. What?
34:09I have to
34:11give it to two people.
34:13We'll share it. I'll let
34:15them touch it. Five thousand for
34:17us and five thousand for you guys.
34:19Yay.
34:21Thank you. The super k's are phenomenal.
34:23They're lovely. They're down to earth.
34:25I swear they've gone back in
34:27time. So how they haven't aged,
34:29I have no idea. They're actually
34:31sitting right in front of their picture
34:33on the wall and
34:35they look better now than what they did then.
34:37It's actually crazy.
34:39The best part of advice I can give you guys is when
34:41you do judging and you get your feedback
34:43from the judges, like we had a
34:45couple of pretty low weeks where we got pretty
34:47belted around and you just
34:49got to take those moments as constructive
34:51criticism. You know what I mean? If you can
34:53learn from that and read between the lines
34:55of what they're actually telling you,
34:57you can use that and you can grow from
34:59that and make your rooms heaps
35:01better. When you're in it, you're so emotional.
35:03I remember getting feedback
35:05and being like, I don't agree with that.
35:07And then I look back at the photos
35:09and I'm like, yeah, I see what that
35:11was supposed to mean. But because you're in
35:13it, you're like too invested. It's your whole life.
35:15Thank you for joining us for our Winners and
35:17Grinners dinner. Cheers.
35:25And thanks for the cash.
35:31It's day two of kitchen week
35:33and for someone, it's a very
35:35special day. It was my birthday
35:37on Tuesday, so that was fun on the block.
35:39I will never forget it.
35:41I'm just on the My Maccas app at the moment
35:43and I'm thinking of getting 25 hash browns
35:45because she's turning 25.
35:47And probably just a few coffees for
35:49us and the boys. Honestly, it was a
35:51non-event. Actually, you guys
35:53made it an event.
35:55I got you a birthday present. Oh, did you now?
35:57Happy birthday. Oh, thanks.
35:59I got you 25 hash browns
36:01for your 25th birthday. Oh, wow.
36:03It'll be a nice
36:05memory forever knowing that I had my 25th
36:07birthday on the block. A quarter life
36:09crisis on the block.
36:11Yeah, this is my quarter life crisis.
36:13You can have as many as you want.
36:15Well, there's 25.
36:17A handful of people did, like, come up
36:19and say happy birthday
36:21but then a handful of people didn't
36:23but, you know, that's okay.
36:25I don't expect them to remember.
36:27Good morning, Australia.
36:29Here with Mimi and Courtney.
36:31Yeah, I definitely
36:33think it's a close-knit group
36:35and there's a part of me that sometimes feels
36:37like we're not part of
36:39that. It's one of those things where you're like, oh,
36:41like, how long do we play
36:43catch-up before either
36:45they let us in or
36:47you know, we
36:49just kind of are going to do our own journey, which I don't
36:51want to do. Like, I want to be a part of, you know.
36:53I was one of the girls.
36:55I feel like they need more depth and
36:57drama in their personality.
36:59Hey!
37:01No.
37:03Don't cheeky.
37:05I'd be putting in a
37:07I'm a villain.
37:09No, you're not. So what do you think about
37:11Maddie and Charlotte? Charlotte and Maddie
37:13are babies. They're little itty-bitty
37:15babies. What do you think about Maddie and
37:17Charlotte, Brad? Who?
37:19No, I just got no
37:21opinion on them. I think they just,
37:23um, they're there.
37:25They're in house one. I still look at it
37:27like it's Paige and Jessie's place.
37:29Um, I have made
37:31it clear to the girls that I don't like being
37:33touched, so stop touching me.
37:35Who touches you?
37:37They play with my hair
37:39and they're like going like this and they're like
37:41just letting you know, I don't like
37:43being touched. And they're like, oh, sorry.
37:45And they're like, ah!
37:47I get
37:49nightmares.
37:51With Kitchen Week underway,
37:53some of the teams are staying on site
37:55while others are hitting the road to shop
37:57for the challenge.
37:59That's very true. Thank you.
38:01Gotta go to shots. We've got a
38:03beacon. Freedom.
38:05And girls not coming with you? No.
38:07The girls are going to stay here on
38:09site. Do we want to have a
38:11meeting about like what
38:13the layout or are you kind
38:15of just going to run with it and see what you can
38:17find? We will run. We'll have a look
38:19and then we'll send some options.
38:21Only if you're okay with that because I'm
38:23so happy to come.
38:25Whatever works.
38:27Yep. Okay. Awesome.
38:29I'm choosing to believe that that was
38:31them being kind
38:33and not
38:35wanting me to be there.
38:37Only if you guys are sure because I'm so happy to come with you.
38:39Totally fine. I want to smash it out.
38:41I've got to stay here for the first
38:43bit and then we'll be painting tonight.
38:45We actually get a lot done when we shop
38:47together. We've got to be quick in and out.
38:49So whilst Maddie stays on site,
38:51Courtney and Mimi hit the shops.
38:53Shirts, shirts.
38:55Courtney!
38:57It's so practical.
38:59Does this spin? Please tell me it spins. Yes!
39:01What about these? I love this colour.
39:03I love that. Love that.
39:05Alright, so let's do three tables
39:07and let's do 15 chairs.
39:09Across town,
39:11Carly and Hayden are also shopping
39:13for the challenge. How many cushions did you say
39:15you needed again? 16.
39:1716, okay. That one's good, yeah.
39:19And this one here. This is cute.
39:21Take them all. Yeah, yeah.
39:23This whole wall really, like this one, this one.
39:25Yeah, everything's going. Jump.
39:27Oh, you dare. I was like,
39:29don't you dare knock the lamp down.
39:31Let's do it.
39:33To save time shopping in store,
39:35Carly has called ahead and placed her
39:37order at Beacon. Oh look,
39:39car service. Look at this.
39:41Car service.
39:43How good is that? Oh, yes.
39:45Beautiful. Only I
39:47get this kind of service. I know.
39:49I'll stop for a drink, Sam.
39:51That'll make it worth it.
40:01Kitchen Week is well underway
40:03and all the features that our
40:05blockheads selected back in week two
40:07are arriving thick and fast.
40:13The beginning of the week was pretty
40:15hectic because
40:17we were trying to decode
40:19what had already been ordered.
40:21I think the kitchen will hopefully come out.
40:23Yeah, just a little bit. Gives enough room.
40:25Oh, hello.
40:27ABI.
40:29Is this a tap? I hope we like it.
40:31More than just a tap. Well, we didn't even pick
40:33this out. We didn't know the floorboard
40:35selection. I didn't know the color of the cabinets.
40:37I didn't know the color of the sink.
40:39I didn't know what tapware until
40:41the kitchen actually just rocked up and I was like,
40:43oh. I'm hoping it's like
40:45antique brass.
40:47Similar to the door handle.
40:49Oh, okay. That's not what I was...
40:51That's brushed nickel. That's not
40:53what I was thinking.
40:55But it's beautiful.
40:57That's really nice stuff, though. Is it too late
40:59to change it to a different color? I think we can work
41:01something out, yeah. That's good. I mean, this is
41:03beautiful, but I'm pretty sure the handles
41:05of our kitchen is like a
41:07antique-y kind of color.
41:09I can show you the wardrobe because I think they're the same.
41:11The girls don't have much chance to
41:13change things, but when they do have an
41:15opportunity, they take it.
41:17We wanted to move a little bit away from the modern colonial,
41:19which was the tap that they had and which
41:21had been delivered to us. We'd love to get a tap
41:23that kind of looks like our
41:25handles. It has to change somehow.
41:27Okay, so this is what we're kind of working
41:29with. Okay, so
41:31an aged brass. Aged brass kind of vibe.
41:33These are the same
41:35handles that are going on the kitchen, so I think
41:37having like a brushed nickel against that
41:39is not going to be it. We've got a brushed brass
41:41but it's a bit brighter.
41:43It's not too far off this.
41:45It's something we've got in the pipeline
41:47but not... And there's no way you can
41:49push that. Are you sure?
41:51Is there no one you can talk to about samples?
41:53I can try.
41:55Okay, well if you could get us a sample
41:57of two of them,
41:59that would be absolutely
42:01amazing. I can find out. Perfect.
42:03Thank you. Thank you so much.
42:05Over at the Woolamai Surf Lifesaving
42:07Club,
42:09Super K's are right back into the thick of it.
42:11Alongside their team,
42:13they're well on their way to transforming
42:15the surf club.
42:21We've been busy today. Me and Kyle
42:23have been doing our DIY bench seat
42:25down below, so it was a bit of fun.
42:27Extra seating, a bit of storage.
42:29Storage underneath. Yep.
42:31We're going to lift up lid. Yep.
42:33So the guys can come in and put all their stuff underneath.
42:35We've got a backrest that we're going to make too.
42:37So, yeah, she's coming together.
42:39Budgie smugglers in here.
42:41Goggles in this one. Goggles, yep.
42:43So what's left,
42:45we've got to finish doing the backrests
42:47for the bench seat, and then obviously
42:49install them. We've got to finish painting probably
42:51before we put the bench seats in. We've still got a bar
42:53to put together. The kitchen's got to
42:55come together. The kinsmen are putting their
42:57bits together, so there's still plenty to do.
42:59So it looks like
43:01our blockheads are ripping into their renos.
43:03Well,
43:05half of the blockheads.
43:07We're actually the only ones here.
43:09I don't know if the other team's
43:11thrown the towel in or...
43:13I don't know what the other team is up to.
43:15That's not our problem.
43:17They should be here right now.
43:19The other team, yeah,
43:21there's crickets going on over there.
43:23Crickets.
43:25Back at the block.
43:27Other teams are keeping busy on this week's kitchens
43:29and, according to Fordham,
43:31next week's rooms as well.
43:33You don't need any plaster? Nah.
43:35They got too much, did they?
43:37Way too much. Yeah, the girls didn't get any
43:39more plaster this week, did they? Jesse ordered
43:41last week, but the week before I ordered,
43:43and there was three or four extra sheets.
43:45But then, yeah, there was a ****load extra
43:47this week, so... And it seems
43:49as though House 2 have also
43:51overordered on their gyprock this
43:53week. It is an awful lot
43:55of plaster, isn't it? What's going on?
43:57Like, why have we overordered?
43:59The whole...
44:01The reason is
44:03we don't overorder is for this reason right now.
44:05Yeah, I get it.
44:07Everyone else has been doing it,
44:09and now you've advanced for another week.
44:11Sorry? Now you've advanced by having
44:13plaster here early for another week.
44:15Basically,
44:17he thinks that
44:19we are cheating or putting ourselves
44:21at an unfair advantage because we accidentally
44:23overordered on some gyprock this week.
44:25I just got the measurements off Sam.
44:27So it might have been a mistake. Did you order it?
44:29Yeah, I ordered it, but I'm not a
44:31plasterer, so I don't know. But it's your job, you know.
44:33You've ordered 40-something sheets
44:35for, yeah,
44:37one, two, three, four walls. It's not like
44:39I've done it every week, either.
44:41But you know, if you do four walls, you don't need
44:4340 sheets. Yeah, yeah, you know that.
44:45Yeah, I know. Yeah, I mean,
44:47he said 42 sheets. It's not quite 42,
44:49but, anyway. I'm going to have to speak to Scotty,
44:51and there's going to be consequences
44:53next week. I can't shut you down
44:55this week, because I need kingsmen
44:57in there. I need floors. But the
44:59following week, there's going to be consequences.
45:01What for? I don't get it. You've overordered.
45:03That's cheating.
45:05You've overordered for next week.
45:07We haven't ordered for next week. That there,
45:09that's for next week. I can tell, looking at it.
45:11So did they get consequences for that? They didn't order that.
45:13That was the other contestants. Everyone else has,
45:15I know, I've seen. Well, whoever else has got extra,
45:17if it's four times the amount.
45:19No, as I said, it was accidental, in terms
45:21of ordering this week.
45:23There's going to be consequences next week.
45:25Of course there is.
45:29Dan's right.
45:31Thou shall not order materials
45:33in excess of current week's needs.
45:35In other words, you can't
45:37store anything on site for future weeks.
45:41If that's the case, if we're going to be punished,
45:43do you mind if we go for a wander and see who has more?
45:45I'm going now. No, I'll come with you.
45:47That's my job. We'll punish everybody.
45:49I want you to get all that inside, mate. Yeah, and I will.
45:51I know that everybody else stacks pasta.
45:53Just relax. That's my job. I'll go around and do that.
45:55You just worry about you. I'll worry about everyone else.
45:57No, all I'm saying is I know
45:59everybody else has been stacking pasta for the last five weeks.
46:01I'm going to check it now. Nobody got penalised for that.
46:03They haven't ordered four times the amount.
46:05After I spoke to you on Saturday,
46:07when you got something else delivered,
46:09you've neglected me, and now you've over-ordered
46:11again after I asked you about the furniture.
46:13So you've taken the piss out of me. How have I taken the piss?
46:15So I'm going to track you down. Please explain how I've taken the piss.
46:17Because I told you the other day, don't pre-order.
46:19I didn't pre-order about the furniture.
46:21About anything? And you pre-ordered again, right in front of me.
46:23We missed out on two things. No, no, mate.
46:25We've taken the piss.
46:27You look at authority like it's nothing.
46:29No, I don't. There's a reason why we do this.
46:31Have I ever looked at authority like it's nothing?
46:33And you've disrespected me by over-ordering again.
46:35How have I looked at authority like it's nothing?
46:37Because I told you on Saturday, don't over-order.
46:39And what have you done?
46:41You did tell me about the furniture.
46:43And what have you done?
46:45You've over-ordered, yes?
46:47You spoke about pre-ordering furniture.
46:49Nothing about over-ordering your gym props.
46:51I said don't over-order for future weeks.
46:53That's exactly what you've done.
46:55So yes, I'm annoyed. I'm actually really pissed off about it.
46:57So I'm going around checking now and finding out what everyone else has done.
46:59Okay.
47:01We're not by disrespected authority.
47:03By pre-ordering after I told you on Saturday not to.
47:05We spoke about the furniture then.
47:07It's the same thing. Don't over-order.
47:09We don't have space on the job for you to keep storing things.
47:11The furniture was one thing.
47:13Now you've done it with plaster.
47:15You're a smart man.
47:17Don't try and play the game.
47:19I'm not playing the game.
47:21You know when you order 42 sheets, you're over-ordering.
47:23You're a smart man, yes or no?
47:25I'm not playing the game.
47:27Well, there you go.
47:31Christian.
47:33Yeah.
47:35This plaster here.
47:37That's just for this room?
47:39I think it was an over-order.
47:41How much?
47:43How much were you over-ordering and checking?
47:45No, it wasn't that I couldn't be bothered.
47:47It was that yesterday morning we had it open for inspection.
47:49As everyone else does?
47:51You're not the only ones that have that.
47:53What's changed since week one when we've spoke about this?
47:55Why does all of a sudden everyone think they can over-order?
47:57What's changed?
47:59It wasn't an over-order.
48:01You just admitted it. You just told me you over-ordered.
48:03No, it was an over-order obviously accidentally.
48:05Now we've got extra sheets everywhere.
48:07They're going to get damaged.
48:09Probably going to get thrown out.
48:11I can't take disrespect.
48:13I can't this week give you any penalties.
48:15Yeah.
48:17Because I need to get Kingsman in and floors.
48:19But there's going to be consequences next week.
48:21Okay.
48:23Don't over-order.
48:25It was an honest mistake.
48:27I don't care. No stress.
48:29I've just had to barrel someone else.
48:31Yeah.
48:33And then they alerted me to come here.
48:35Ah, little cheeky dogs.
48:37No idea.
48:39I have no clue who told Dan.
48:49Today is Truecore Tuesday,
48:51but the boys' builder, Duncan,
48:53has given today a whole new meaning.
48:57Remember yesterday, Duncan had the cunning idea
48:59to get the roof plastered
49:01while everyone else was doing their floors,
49:03which would allow the boys
49:05to get painting early
49:07before the boys go in.
49:09Well, Duncan's next stage of that cunning idea
49:11is about to be executed.
49:13Duncan has a bit of a new plan for this week.
49:15So it's a big space,
49:17and the kitchen and dining that are joined onto each other
49:19have a large section of subfloor.
49:21And Duncan's plan is to build
49:23that subfloor out of steel
49:25by Truecore, because Truecore's making
49:27steel frames on site, which is all free.
49:29So we believe it's going to save us
49:31probably around 8 to 10K
49:33in materials in that space alone.
49:35So it's a huge play by Duncan.
49:37Yesterday, the boys had a meeting
49:39with Peter from Truecore
49:41to understand how a Truecore subfloor works.
49:43So we're going to basically run you
49:45a great big
49:47line like this
49:49of joists, which will just mean
49:51you get that packing to a level,
49:53right, because your floor's all over the shop.
49:55You get that level for us, we'll come along,
49:57we'll put joists in, and you're done.
49:59We'll plan for the whole area
50:01to make the whole area for you.
50:03Yeah, perfect.
50:05So the boys have got 105 square metres of subfloor
50:07in this open planned space.
50:09And building the subfloor
50:11out of Truecore will bring down
50:13their spending significantly this week.
50:15This is it.
50:17This is the Truecore
50:19subfloor, and look.
50:21Look how straight it's going to be.
50:23I want to try and do the best
50:25for the boys. They're on a great challenge.
50:27And while they're out, we
50:29just want to help them
50:31finish this week.
50:33But put it this way,
50:37I think we've given them
50:39every chance and every possibility
50:41that we're capable of
50:43for them to finish this week and hopefully
50:45get a win.
50:47The sheer scale of the block is difficult
50:49for anyone, but imagine
50:51being the first team ever
50:53to start the block in week five.
50:55At home,
50:57the sisters also do accounting work,
50:59so they're meeting with Jo to get
51:01some financial planning advice.
51:05I know you guys have lots of information
51:07coming at you, but I'm hoping to make things
51:09really easy for you, because
51:11I'm a huge advocate of Xero, and it's really simple
51:13to use, and I think it'll really help you get your head around
51:15where your budget is, where all your money's
51:17sitting, really quickly. In Xero,
51:19your bank transactions are automatically
51:21loaded into software,
51:23so you'll see all your ins and outs
51:25coming through really easily.
51:27Last week, you guys had Zach in,
51:29so you just have to add Zach in
51:31and categorise it to an account,
51:33and then you add the total in
51:35and hit done. It's so
51:37simple to use, you won't have any dramas, but
51:39if you do need something, just let me know.
51:41Okay, thanks so much. No worries at all.
51:43For our contestants,
51:45their whole life becomes the block,
51:47including their birthdays.
51:49So it was Tuesday night,
51:51it was Madeline's birthday, and we're like, painting party.
51:53How great. Who wouldn't want a painting party on their
51:55birthday? How are we actually going to finish
51:57this project? We need to do a six-hour night
51:59tomorrow night for all of us to get the painting done
52:01and done properly. Yeah, so that's
52:03a big day. Yep. So Tuesday
52:05around six or seven, we were like,
52:07what's it go, everyone? And everyone's like, I'm
52:09really busy doing installation. And the
52:11girls had been shopping all day, so they were napping
52:13I think. Yeah, they were having a nap, and I was like, what's
52:15a nap? Is it an hour? Is it ten hours?
52:17Or are you waking up tomorrow morning?
52:19Like, I don't know what a nap is. Anyway, they were
52:21napping, so I didn't have contact with them.
52:23And then it just kept getting pushed back
52:25and back, and maybe around ten or eleven,
52:27don't even remember the time,
52:29Christian made the call that they were too tired
52:31to go, and we'll
52:33try again tomorrow.
52:35Alright, we, uh, f*** it, this is
52:37bad. Okay, yeah,
52:39okay, let's just re... We'll regroup
52:41tomorrow. Yeah, regroup tomorrow.
52:43It should be a challenge week, but we're
52:45going to do it in one and a half days.
52:47No one at all
52:49on Tuesday? No one up until the
52:51challenge on Tuesday? No one at all. No.
52:53Yeah, I made the
52:55decision to manage my time,
52:57go to the challenge a little later in the week,
52:59and stay on site on the Tuesday,
53:01because otherwise we would have
53:03received a time penalty if we weren't ready
53:05for flooring and kitchens
53:07on Wednesday morning. Your build team
53:09couldn't have handled that by themselves while you were at the
53:11challenge? No, definitely not. Not on that
53:13Tuesday.
53:15We allocated a couple of late nights there
53:17later on in the week to go to the
53:19challenge.
53:25Tomorrow night, at the challenge,
53:27Foreman Keith reaches his limit.
53:29We've got a day and a half
53:31before reveal. We've literally done nothing
53:33in this area. I'm going to go back to the block
53:35and be the blockinator again.
53:37And after a rocky
53:39start, it could be over for
53:41newbies Maddie and Charlotte.
53:43I don't want to be here. I'm, like, trying to
53:45backtrack from five weeks
53:47and, like, do a million things, so I'm overwhelmed.
53:49It's just not the way that
53:51I would have wanted things to end.
