I never thought it was possible to trade #pokemon or do any multiplayer in #gameboy #emulators, but to my surprise with mGBA VBA-M and BGB it is possible, and shockingly easy to setup.

00:00I've always thought multiplayer and emulation was going to be limited to just console games.
00:05Sure, you can play as Sonic and Tails in Sonic 2, but I never thought you could play as Mario
00:09and Luigi in the Mario Advance multiplayer.
00:11However, I am extremely surprised just to see that it's not only possible, but just
00:16how easy it is to set up link cable emulation.
00:21For example, in MGBA, it's just a single button click and boom, I'm trading Pokemon.
00:27But VBAM isn't a bad choice too, even if it does require a bit of setup.
00:32You can technically play over the network, though your results will vary.
00:37While you can play Game Boy games too in these emulators, I found that their link cable support
00:43is a bit buggy or just outright broken.
00:46So for those games, I found BGB is my go-to emulator.
00:50Now I just need to find friends to play with me.
