00:00All right Eli, tell me about your partnership with Corona. I imagine you played a lot of paper
00:04football growing up and now we have lime wedge football. I did play a lot of paper football
00:07growing up and it's fun to team up with Corona and we created lime wedge football and so with it
00:14you can get the original game set. It comes with a little runner, comes with a foam lime
00:21and you just got to create the goal posts. I usually travel with a couple Coronas. They make
00:26great goal posts that you can play through but the great thing about this game, if you don't
00:31want to go full throttle, be a professional lime wedge football player, you can just kind of use
00:35anything. You can use real limes, you can use anything around the tailgate, around the house
00:40and have some fun. If there was an NFL player you wanted to challenge to lime wedge football,
00:44who would it be? I would challenge Patrick Mahomes to lime wedge football. I think I can take him.
00:50I like that. That's an official challenge to Patrick Mahomes in lime wedge football. Okay,
00:54the NFL season obviously back in full force very soon. The Manning cast will be back. How much of
00:59a say do you and Peyton have of the guests that you have on that show? No, we talk a lot about
01:03the guests and try to get a game plan through the course of the year. Once the schedule comes out,
01:08see who's playing. Hey, we got Jets and 49ers. Who are like some big Jets fans that we could
01:14maybe get? Hey, who are 49er fans that we can get? And so start to request early, try to get them
01:21and then there's some people that like, hey, they're such big celebrities or such great people
01:26and funny that we're like, we don't care like come any week. We don't care who you're a fan of. We
01:30just want you on the show. We thought they'd be great. So we do a lot of talking about that,
01:35getting a great game plan for the guests. Do you prefer to have like fellow athletes or do you like
01:39it when it's maybe more of a celebrity and a different vibe? I like to have both of them. I
01:44think it's good to have the current athletes or football players early in the game because
01:50hopefully it's still a good game and sometimes later in the game you get a celebrity, you get
01:57someone funny. So if you have a bad game, you have something else to talk about. Is it true that Bill
02:02Belichick will be reoccurring this season? Bill Belichick will be on every week. He's going to
02:07come on for like a quarter or so and give us his opinion of what's going on in the game. And
02:13so we've been working at it. He's going to be great. It's a fun new relationship for you and
02:18Bill Belichick to have. Different. Exactly. Very different. So he's been nice to me so far,
02:24so that's good. What is something that fans might not know about working with your brother
02:29on this broadcast? Peyton sends a lot of voice memos. That's his move. He doesn't call and leave
02:39a voicemail because you can only leave a three-minute voicemail. A voice memo, you can text
02:44it. It could be unlimited times. He needs longer than three minutes? Oh my gosh, no. It's like 35
02:49minutes of him watching film, of all his notes, of his ideas, or what he might get up. And so
02:58all of a sudden, if I don't respond to his 35-minute voice memo, he'll be like, hey, what
03:04did you think of my idea I left in the voice memo? I'm like, what minute of the video, of the memo,
03:08did you leave it in? Because I only listened to like six minutes of it. Right. So I need the
03:13cliff notes of the voice memo. You know, if you have questions, you got to text those. You can't
03:18ask the questions within the memo. That's some good BTS of the Manning cast. There's a lot left
03:22on the cutting room floor because Peyton's just too long-winded. He's very long-winded, and there's
03:26like clips of it. The only time I do, like I'll record on my phone his memo of him just going,
03:33um, uh, um, yeah, uh, like for 35 seconds. I'm like, you got to edit these down a little bit.
03:39That could have been 34 minutes. Right. If you could have limited that 35-second clip of that.
03:45Oh, I love that. Okay, I assume you saw the pictures of Glenn Powell channeling your iconic
03:50character, Chad Powers. What was your reaction to Glenn signing on for this, for this job?
03:55I thought he looked unbelievable. I mean, he looked terrible, which is hard for Glenn to look
03:59really bad. But, you know, he, you know, looked bad like I did. And he made it, you know, so he's
04:05going to be great. I've been talking to him, worked with him a little bit in the offseason,
04:10and to get him ready. And he's fired up for, uh, to play quarterback, to play, uh, to play Chad.
04:17And so he's, uh, he's going to do a great job. Can't wait to see, see him in action.
04:21Did it surprise you that that sketch has now turned into a full-on project?
04:24I mean, who, who would have ever known? I mean, it was, I thought it was a funny idea. Go,
04:29go and try out for Penn State football team. Have a little fun. I hadn't played football in a couple
04:34years. Maybe you could see if I can still throw it and, and go back out there and compete. And
04:38now it's turning into a show on Hulu. I mean, it's unbelievable.
04:41So good. Um, your oldest daughter, 13 now?
04:4413.
04:44What's it like having a teenage daughter, Eli?
04:46She's, she hasn't turned into like a real teenage daughter or the rumors I hear about what,
04:52what happens. So she's still, still sweet to me, still nice to me, still wants to hang out.
04:58Um, and so that's good. And so she's, she's doing great. Excited for school to get started up again.
05:03Has she, or any of your daughters asked you if they can get meet Taylor Swift?
05:06Oh yes. All the, all the time. All the, all the time.
05:12Just say, you know, we happen to be somewhere where, where, where Travis and Taylor were at
05:17the same, uh, town or city. And they're like, you got to text Travis and see if we can like,
05:23just meet up and like, we'll be quick. We'll, it's like, I just want to see her. Like,
05:26we don't even have to say hi. We just, I'm like, I'm not texting him to go see
05:31Taylor. Right. Y'all just, you gotta see her. You gotta find a way. You gotta be creative. You gotta
05:34do it yourself. That's very funny. What is the dynamic between having three, three girls and
05:39a little boy in the house? Does everyone get along? Do they team up on him? Uh, they all,
05:43they all torture him, the boy. I mean, he, he doesn't stand a chance. Uh, but they are sweet
05:48to him. Uh, he, he and my youngest daughter. So my five-year-old son, my nine-year-old daughter,
05:54they're, they're buddies, they're tight and they, and they get along well. And then they kind of get
05:59grouped together and brought along or, or left, or left out, uh, together. So, but yeah, everybody
06:05gets along as, as well as siblings can get along. That's good. That's good. Um, very important
06:10question. Thoughts on Daniel Jones' facial hair? I like it. I'm a big fan of the beard. I think,
06:15I think it's good for him. He needs it and, uh, he's got to keep it and, and keep rocking it.
06:20It's going to be good luck. What do you predict for the Giants this season? I think it's going
06:23to be a good year. I think the defense is going to play well. I think they have some weapons
06:27outside now. They're going to take some shots, be a little bit more explosive offensively and,
06:32and build some leads and be able to hold on to it. So I'm, I'm excited. Because this is Us Weekly,
06:36I do have to ask you as my last question. Do you watch reality TV by chance? I do not watch a ton
06:41of reality TV, unfortunately. If I had to say, what would your favorite reality TV show be if
06:46you had to pick one? Um. Does Abby watch any reality TV? Only because you just brought it up earlier
06:52off, off camera. We're talking about Jesse Palmer in The Bachelor and he was, Jesse was a teammate
06:56of mine. I watched The Bachelor back in the day when he was on it. So I'm going to go with The
07:01Bachelor. Perfect answer.
