00:00It's easy to do nothing, but it's hard to forgive.
00:03Welcome to MsMojo, and today we're looking at the Nickelodeon shows
00:08that delivered fans most treasured and worst viewing experiences.
00:13Look out, worlds! Fred Ficklehorn is ready to leave his mark.
00:20Number 5. Worst. Planet Sheen.
00:23Certain supporting characters are great when part of an ensemble.
00:27On their own, he can be pretty hit or miss.
00:30How hard is it to make a milkshake maker?
00:33Maybe if I worked backwards and started with the milkshake,
00:37then I wouldn't even need a milkshake maker because I already have a milkshake.
00:41In Planet Sheen's case, it's a mess of epic proportions.
00:45Sheen brought levity with his quirky antics on Jimmy Neutron.
00:49As the main character, though, he's just irritating.
00:52You've been waiting here for a whole 30 seconds. 31 seconds? 32 seconds?
00:57I want to stop, but my point keeps getting stronger. 35 seconds?
01:00Be patient, Sheen.
01:01The show finds Sheen stranded on a planet,
01:04basically annoying its inhabitants in each episode.
01:08There never appears to be any direction to the story,
01:11as the characters remain stagnant from start to finish.
01:14Not all hit series need spinoffs, and Planet Sheen is among the best examples of why.
01:23It's easier to pretend that this quasi-sequel never happened.
01:32Number 5 Best All That
01:35Growing up in the 90s and early aughts, no show was cooler than All That.
01:40Have you seen how many people are in the audience?
01:42Think of all the people watching at home. Your friends, family, girls.
01:46All your classmates, teachers, doctors.
01:48Lumberjacks, postal workers, dental hygienists.
01:51It's like Saturday Night Live for a younger crowd,
01:54complete with recurring gags and hilarious performances.
01:58Future stars like Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, and Kel Mitchell wowed fans with their comedic charm.
02:04That'll be, uh, eight bucks.
02:07Eight bucks? It says $2.50 right up there.
02:11Okay, $2.50. Your number's $87.
02:14It was also a springboard for the latter duo's success in Kenan and Kel and Good Burger.
02:20The sketch comedy's legacy has endured decades since its debut.
02:25All That gave young talents a chance to shine
02:27and laid the platform for Nickelodeon to invest in more live-action material.
02:32Although the show is geared toward a youthful audience,
02:36its knack for laugh-out-loud humour can delight viewers of all ages.
02:40Just like I thought, cheese fists. And look at the expiration date. It's not even fresh.
02:454. Worst – Tack and the Power of Juju
03:01The 2003 video game this show is based on wasn't exactly a critical darling,
03:07but the animated series makes it look like a masterpiece, with shoehorned moral lessons,
03:13artificial wholesome moments, and no real sources of entertainment,
03:18the show makes you wonder who it's for.
03:29It never really makes you laugh, nor does it get truly serious.
03:33Despite an impressive cast of voice actors including Patrick Warburton and John DiMaggio,
03:39everyone sounds like they'd rather be anywhere else.
03:434. Best – iCarly
04:04Released in the earlier days of the social media boom,
04:08iCarly follows Carly and her friends as they produce their popular web series.
04:144. Best – iCarly
04:24This framing device represented a fresh, creative turn from Nickelodeon,
04:29enabling the network to tap into a wider audience.
04:32With characters of varying personalities, the sitcom has a well-rounded cast for fans to follow.
04:43Whether it's through the gang's latest shenanigans or the main character's love triangle,
04:54iCarly keeps us hooked.
04:57Thanks to its popularity, many A-list guest stars regularly show up,
05:01highlighting its unpredictable format.
05:14If any Nickelodeon show captured the essence of its generation, it has to be iCarly.
05:203. Worst – Marvin Marvin
05:23This isn't the only time you'll see Lucas Cruikshank on this list.
05:27The performer continued his disastrous Nickelodeon run with Marvin Marvin.
05:38The show is as unnecessary as the extra Marvin in the title.
05:43It plays out like a third rock from the sun for youth,
05:46with the titular alien character posing as a normal teen.
05:50While it tries to go for heartwarming themes like making friends and being close to family,
05:55the messages get lost under a mountain of unfunny material.
06:00The lack of chemistry between the cast doesn't do it any favours either.
06:13With the brand of lazy humor and unimaginative stories that Marvin Marvin had to offer,
06:18it's no surprise it only lasted one season.
06:213. Best – Drake & Josh
06:30If you grew up in the aughts, Drake & Josh likely has a special place in your heart.
06:35If you claim otherwise, then we ain't calling you a truther.
06:46The show maintains comedic mastery across its four seasons,
06:49with every episode delivering trademark gags galore.
06:53Among the most quotable sitcoms out there, it has remained alive with jokes we still remember.
07:04Whether you're suave like Drake, an intellectual like Josh, or a troublemaker like Megan,
07:10there's always someone to relate to.
07:12Drake & Josh shows us how even a simple premise can go a long way.
07:17Years after its finale, it's still picking us up when we're down.
07:302. Worst – Breadwinners
07:33You can't expect much from a show about anthropomorphic ducks delivering bread,
07:39but there's nothing wrong with a quirky premise if it has some substance.
07:44Unfortunately, Breadwinners doesn't really have any.
07:57Where it's concerned, what you see is what you get,
08:00and what we have is just a couple of ducks trying too hard to be funny.
08:06The skits don't amount to anything, only displaying the duo's over-the-top wackiness.
08:18Even if you're initially amused, the heavily recycled jokes will wear you down soon enough.
08:35So the next time you're in the mood for some animated ducks, just stick to ducktales.
08:412. Best – Avatar – The Last Airbender
08:45It's easy to forget that Avatar is made for kids, considering the heavy themes it tackles.
08:51Starting off on a lighter note, it evolves into full-blown mature territory.
08:56Aang's journey is a sprawling story of struggle, survival, and redemption.
09:08The series wows viewers with hard-hitting sequences capable of taking your breath away.
09:14Plus, unlike many Nickelodeon shows at the time,
09:17continuity is a heavy factor in Avatar, pulling fans into its far-reaching world.
09:26Incredibly detailed characterisation means we even understand and sympathise with
09:39villains like Zuko, as it deviates from the standard good-versus-evil format.
09:45It's no wonder Avatar and the franchise it birthed are among Nickelodeon's
09:50greatest commercial successes.
09:551. Worst – Fred The Show
10:21Lucas Crickshank's internet character was popular enough to headline multiple films,
10:34but if it seemed nothing could top how bad those movies were, Fred The Show managed to do one worse.
10:41The only thing we remember from it is Fred's annoying voice,
10:45as he pretty much screams or freaks out in each episode.
10:52Without any real outline or premise, it's basically about him turning the most menial
11:01thing into an absolute headache. To call this a kids' show would be to insult young viewers,
11:07as it eschews even the smallest amount of comedic wit.
11:11If you're ever wondering what a visual representation of the word
11:15awful is, look no further than Fred The Show.
11:241. Best – SpongeBob SquarePants
11:34Many Nickelodeon shows have come and gone, but SpongeBob SquarePants remains on top.
11:40Not only is it reportedly the network's longest-running scripted series by some distance,
11:46it's one of the longest-running animated shows in American TV history.
11:51The titular character's innocence and endless optimism are infectious,
11:56as viewers continue watching his adventures over a quarter of a century after his debut.
12:11A perfect watch for kids and adults looking for good-natured humour,
12:15the key to SpongeBob's success is its ability to raise your spirits each and every time.
12:21No matter how difficult life gets,
12:23we'll always have our friend from Bikini Bottom to make us laugh.
12:282. Best – Ms. Mojo
