02:04There's so much mystery to House Farooq, and because they've so thoroughly isolated themselves,
02:09it made them the perfect faction to explore in a completely self-contained experience.
02:14And so you arise, one of the promised of House Varun.
02:20From the minute you arrive on Varun Kai, the story never sends you off planning.
02:24You're free to leave at any time, but the story is fully centered around life on the Varun homeworld.

04:17There's a massive crater in their city.

05:53From its inception, House Varun has been driven by a singular, unique vision.
05:58Because of this, Varun Kai has a completely distinct visual identity.

06:04You'll see this in the extraterrestrial landscape,
06:07gravity anomalies,
06:09and much more.
06:33Varun Kai is located in the Kavnik system,
06:36and it's not the friendliest environment.
06:38They believed the Great Serpent led them to Varun Kai,
06:41and their whole purpose in being here is to await its return.
06:45You have no concept of what the Great Serpent demands of us.

06:53It's a dangerous planet,
06:55and a lot of the people have retreated to Dazra
06:57in order to survive and protect their culture and their way of life.
07:01Now you'll find areas of the planet that were abandoned
07:04and have since been taken over by Zealots, Spacers, and Crimson Fleet.
07:08And humans aren't the only dangers in the Badlands of the planet.
07:13With the line between reality and the Vortex breaking down,
07:17creatures from the other side can slip through,
07:20like the Vortex Auror.
07:22When you disturb the barrier between our world and theirs,
07:25they can sense it,
07:27creating these honestly terrifying ambush scenarios.

07:36You can engage in a firefight from way in the distance.
