North East’s Biggest Scare Park is Back!

Psycho Path is back in County Durham bigger and scarier than ever for this year’s spooky season.

00:00Hi, my name is Alex Cronin. I started Psychopath back in 2019, so it's been my fourth year now.

00:08Started off doing Cornyd as a scarecrow on a chainsaw, absolutely loved it, and then kind of

00:14started getting involved doing a bit of costume, so I've been mending and fixing and sewing,

00:19and then Cristiano gave me the opportunity of being head costume designer this year,

00:23so it's my first year, so it has been a bit ah at some points, but I've got through it and

00:28everyone's been costumed, and I've absolutely enjoyed every second of it, so making Beetlejuice,

00:32making big sets of wings, getting all the other costumes that we already have on site ready for

00:36everyone else, and then we're just coming to see it all together with everyone's makeup on, actually

00:41acting in the costumes is absolutely fantastic, and yeah, I also act here as well, so you'll have

00:46to come and see me and find out what I'll be playing this year as well. We do have a lot of

00:50new mazes, we do have a dollhouse as well, which is very creepy if you don't like China dolls,

00:55I'm not a fan of dolls myself, so I might be going through that one. I've got my colleague

01:00Duncan here with me, and he is going to brave the crawl space. How are you feeling Duncan? It'll be

01:06fine. Oh he looks a bit scared. This is one of the events here at Psychopath, and it's brand new for

01:12this year. Good luck Duncan. Psychopath won the title of best UK screen park event at an award

01:20ceremony in 2023, and they are back bigger than ever with 12 different attractions within the

01:25park, five of which are brand new for 2024. With over 230 performers taking part, the event feels

01:31really interactive, even for those who might not fancy braving the attractions. The entrance hall

01:36hosts bars and street food, as well as a theatre stage with regular performances taking place

01:41throughout the night. So whether you want to face your fears like Alex, or you're a Halloween

01:52enthusiast like Duncan, Psychopath tries to cater for all. Where is Duncan?
