00:003rd time this season you two. 4th. Head. It's a tail. Go well guys. Go well.
00:28Before we start with the final, can I possibly have a couple of minutes of your attention please.
00:37If you had told me earlier in the season that we would be doing final stage today without Daniel Oliver, I simply wouldn't have believed you.
00:47It was two weeks ago, almost to the minute in fact, that I was told the incomprehensible news that Daniel had passed away suddenly at the age of 50.
01:00As many of you will know, Daniel was the brains of this particular operation and final stage was very much his domain.
01:08He did all the work and I just did all the talking.
01:12It's been a very sad and weird experience doing this without him.
01:18There have already been tributes played to Daniel at Sussex matches and we will be sharing memories of him at the league dinner as well.
01:25However, please if you could be so good enough to join me in a minute's applause for one of the main reasons for the success of this league and my friend, Daniel Oliver.

08:55Welcome to the presentation for the Sussex Cricket League T20 Cup final.
09:02Before we start, I've got some thanks to give out.
09:07Firstly, please show your appreciation for Mark Taylor who's done the scoreboard all day.
09:12Also, both over there and over here, the staff who have been on the food in the bar all day.
09:30To present the trophies and the awards this evening, I've got someone who probably needs very little introduction from anybody.
09:50That's the chair of Sussex Cricket, John Filby.
10:02As ever, we start with the most important people, which is the umpires.
10:05So can I ask Matt French and Richard Young to come up and give a round of applause.
10:26Next we'll have the scorers.
10:35For Nomads, we've got Lewis Cox who's been here all day.
10:38For Bridges, we've got June Alderman.
11:04So, to the player of the match, this has been a real toughy.
11:09In the Preston Nomads batting innings, we had a great innings of 53-0 best of the day by John Tugenna.
11:24In reply for Three Bridges, Rowan Lord took three for 22.
11:42And in the Three Bridges batting innings, Matt Boyle scored 43.
11:57The player of the match goes to a player who came in when the fall of two quick wickets and really steadied the ship by a smidge.
12:05The player of the match, for 36 not out of 24 balls, is Michael Cowden.
12:22Before we give out the trophy, can we have a massive round of applause for today's runners-up, Preston Nomads.
12:42And of course, the winners of the First Central T20 Cup of 2024, congratulations to Three Bridges.
13:11Joe, you've just won the T20 Cup, how are you feeling?
13:31Yeah, how good's that? Unbelievable, great feeling.
13:33Yeah, does it feel like you deserve something for this season?
13:38I think so, look, we battled Nomads really hard, they're obviously a great side.
13:41You know, we played them four times this year and it's two all now, so they got us twice in the league with them in both cups.
13:46So, you know, it's been a great season for the boys and to finish it off with some silverware is just the icing on the cake.
13:51And it was quite a comprehensive performance, you must be delighted about that.
13:53Yeah, yeah, the boys were just on it from ball one, in the field, and the boys bowled so well and then batted brilliantly as well.
13:59Yeah, what about Michael Cowden, because he's been fantastic?
14:03He's been a great signing, I've known Mikey for a few years now from uni,
14:06I've been trying to get him to come over for a couple of years and finally got him and he's just been brilliant.
14:10Yeah, and what about next season now, is it just like the sky's the limit for you?
14:16Yeah, yeah, for sure, you know, I think we can always look to be stronger, but we've got such a good core of boys now.
14:21And, you know, we've just been friends since we were sort of 10, 11 years apart through the ranks,
14:25so keep the same squad together and a few additions and I think the sky's the limit for the squad.
14:32Yeah, OK, quick, quick, quick.
