00:35I was here last weekend for the creative awards because my category is

00:44There wasn't so much TV coverage of those
00:49So no today the BAFTA tea party is the first one this weekend

00:54Well, this is a tea party and a lot of people have called this one of the best parties of the weekend
01:00What do you think makes the BAFTAs so fun?
01:03I'll let you know later if it's one of the best parties. There's something in the tea. What's going on?
01:07I don't know. I have not been to one for

01:19You know, this is of course the last season for the crown as well because it ended so it's a bittersweet
01:26feeling to head into the Emmys knowing that it's the last time and and
01:29Was it kind of emotional saying goodbye to your time as Prince Philip? It was briefly emotional. Yeah, I didn't expect it to be because
01:38You know when you're making something and it's sad or emotional you want the audience to be crying and not you crying
01:45But as I said my farewell on screen to to Imelda as the Queen and
01:50Saying say a prayer for me and I walk off into the sunset. There was a little choke in my in my throat
01:57yeah, definitely, but it was a
02:00It was a good emotional feeling because this series is so good and was so good
02:07Yes, you feel like it ended at the right time. I think so. We were getting closer and closer to

02:17More and more criticism that it wasn't, you know, historically or factually, correct

02:41What are the sort of roles and characters that are intriguing to you as you look to the future and you look for a future?
02:47Roles in reading scripts. I like your optimism that I'm looking for future roles at my age. Yes, definitely
02:54Absolutely. Always always. Yeah, they get fewer and fewer I can tell you I
03:01How I choose did you say yeah
03:05well, what's interesting is I I rarely go out to look for something and
03:12I I don't always do what I'm offered but crown and slow horses
03:17I knew nothing about slow horses. So they just asked me and I read it and I thought this sounds good
03:22I've always tried to look for to do something different
03:26and
03:28You know, the slow horses character is very different. Most people are very different to Prince Philip, whatever you play
