00:05Ever since we learned that the unforgivable curses would be in Hogwarts Legacy and we
00:10could use them, we were curious to know how you learn such powerful and deadly spells.
00:15And are there any repercussions for using them?
00:17Well, it turns out learning the unforgivable curses is pretty easy, and very forgivable.
00:22No one really cares.
00:24These curses can't be learned in school, so you need to keep pursuing Sebastian Salo's
00:28storyline missions in order to unlock them, since he's the only one who teaches them
00:32to you.
00:33There's no morality system to directly punish players for using these spells, though characters
00:38in game will react to you using them.
00:40Technically, according to Potter lore, using any of these even once should see you sent
00:45to Azkaban for life, which is wizard prison for you muggles out there.
00:48But that isn't the case in Hogwarts Legacy.
00:50You can also choose not to use or learn the curses if you like, and it won't impact
00:54your game.
00:55Plus, if you decide during the missions not to learn the unforgivable curses, you can
00:59change your mind later on.
