00:26Hindenburg Research on Thursday accused the Adani group on September 12.

00:32Hindenburg said that the Swiss authorities had frozen more than $310 million,

00:39or Rs 2,602 crore, from six Swiss bank accounts linked to the Adani group.

00:44Hindenburg cited a news report by the Swiss media outlet Gotham City.

00:51The report stated that the Swiss authorities had made this amount as part of a money laundering and securities forgery investigation.

00:59The Swiss media outlet said, according to the Swiss criminal court record,

01:04investigators have explained in detail how people linked to Adani invested in the OPEC, BVI, Mauritius and Bermuda funds.

01:11This fund was mainly owned by the Adani group.

01:15However, on Thursday night, the Adani group denied all these allegations.

01:21The group said that all this is being done to lower their market value.

01:26The Adani group called the allegations false and unreasonable.

01:30In their response, the Adani group clarified that they are not involved in any Swiss court proceedings.

01:37Neither has their group's companies been mentioned in any such court documents,

01:43nor have they received any request for clarification.

01:47The Adani group said that the allegations are clearly false and unreasonable.

01:51We have no hesitation in saying that this is an attempt to damage the reputation and market value of our community.

01:59The group said that their foreign holding structure is in compliance with all laws.

02:05The Sebi chairperson was also accused of being linked to the Adani group.

02:10Before this, Hindenburg had accused the Sebi chairperson of the Security Exchange Board of India.

02:18Hindenburg had claimed in his report that Madhavipuri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch are involved in the offshore company linked to the Adani group.

02:27Buch had called these allegations false and unreasonable.

02:33The Sebi chairperson had expressed his desire to declare all financial records.

02:39In a joint statement with her husband Dhaval Buch, she said,

02:43Our life and finances are an open book.

02:46The Adani group was accused of money laundering and share manipulation.

02:51On January 24, 2023, Hindenburg Research published a report on the Adani group.

02:58After the report, the group's shares fell sharply.

03:02However, there was a recovery later.

03:06With this report, the Indian Share Market Regulator Security Exchange Board of India, SEBI,

03:12had also sent a notice to Hindenburg stating the reason for page 46.

03:17In a blog post published on July 1, 2024, Hindenburg Research said that it was stated in the notice that it has violated the rules.

03:27The company said,

03:28The SEBI has alleged that there are some false statements in Hindenburg's report to mislead the readers.

03:35In response, Hindenburg had accused the SEBI of many things.

03:41After the report, the share of Adani Enterprises fell by 69%.

03:47On January 24, 2023,

03:49As per Indian time, on January 25, the share of Adani Group's flagship company Adani Enterprises was Rs 3,442.

03:58On January 25, it fell by 1.54% to Rs 3,388.

04:06On January 27, the share price fell by 18% to Rs 2,761.

04:13By February 25, it fell by 69% to Rs 1,404.

04:19However, the share was later found to be in recovery.

04:23However, Adani refused to accuse of any wrongdoing.

04:28In this case, Adani Group also cancelled its follow-on public offer of Rs 20,000 crores.

04:34For the investigation of the case, the Supreme Court formed a six-member committee and SEBI also investigated the case.

04:40After the court decision, the chairman of Adani Group, Gautam Adani said,

04:45The court decision shows that the truth has won.
