00:12The size, scale and potential prospects of the operation are unclear and the situation

00:17remains fluid as of today, but let's take a closer look at where the movement is.

00:23As per the available information, the counter-attacks started along western edge of the Ukrainian

00:27salient.

00:28Here, this is this area in red and they are also reportedly trying to advance from a few

00:33axes from the north, northeast and west.

00:36These are these yellow areas here.

00:38Now, look at this area here, west of Snagost.

00:42This is where Ukrainian forces reportedly began new attacks against Russian counter-offensive.

00:47There are claims that Ukrainian forces are operating southwest of Snagost, which is roughly

00:52five kilometers from the international border, suggesting that Ukrainian forces recently

00:57advanced near the settlement, reportedly after crossing the border.

01:03Russian Ministry of Defence and Russian milbloggers claim that those Ukrainian attacks have been

01:08repelled, but it is unclear how much force Ukraine has committed to the reported counter-attack.

01:16The Institute for the Study of Forces' available visual evidence suggests that Russian forces

01:20counter-attacking in Kursk region may be using elements of more combat-experienced units

01:26to conduct counter-attacks, although it is unclear how effective those operations will

01:30be since some of these units have been heavily degraded and reconstituted many times.

01:37Russian forces may intend to temporarily bisect the Ukrainian salient in Kursk region before

01:43beginning a more organized and well-equipped effort to push Ukrainian forces out of Russian

01:50territory.
