00:00One of the biggest problems is that we don't get diagnosed with disease.
00:04The entire U.S. medical system is geared towards keeping us sick
00:07and then pumping us with chemicals over our lifetime.
00:11What if we could diagnose disease at the earlier stages?
00:13What if we did frequent tests at home with our urine, with our breath,
00:18if necessary, with our blood, and we could know exactly what disease we're about to get?
00:23Medical diagnostics to the next level.
00:25That's what I'm trying to make possible.
00:27With an entirely new set of technologies that converts biology into light
00:33and then uses artificial intelligence to analyze the light spectrum to tell us what's in it.
00:40So what is the issue that your company is trying to address?
00:45Is it that diagnostics takes too long, it's too costly,
00:48it's not friendly for the patient, not friendly for the doctor?
00:54All of the above.
00:55That, you know, how often do you get blood tests?
00:58How often do you get tested for any disease?
01:01It's only when you're, you know, really, really sick.
01:03When you go to your doctor, your doctor orders a blood test
01:05and you get the results a couple of days later.
01:07What if you could go to the supermarket and do a breath test
01:11and have it diagnose all the diseases you might possibly have?
01:15That's what I'm trying to make possible.
01:16Inexpensively.
01:18Get the cost down to almost zero of medical diagnostics.
01:22So do you think now is the right time?
01:24I mean, especially after COVID, many people are just used to, like, you know,
01:29spitting into the little vial and twisting it and doing all that kind of stuff.
01:32Maybe pre-COVID people don't like that kind of stuff.
01:35Do you think that people will be more adaptable to your technology?
01:42Yes, you know, during COVID, we realized that we needed to get,
01:46you know, tests to see what disease we have.
01:49We've had disease from the beginning of humanity,
01:51you know, all sorts of diseases, including cancer.
01:54The idea is to diagnose them and make the cost of diagnostics
01:58very low so that you can even do it at home.
02:00That's what I'm working on.
02:01Very ambitious project.
02:03And it seems like science fiction, I mean, you know,
02:05everyone reminds me of Theranos, of all these promises that were made.
02:09Well, this is 10 times more ambitious than Theranos.
02:12And what I'm doing is making all the technology available
02:16to researchers over the world.
02:18And we're open sourcing everything.
02:19So no secrecy, you know, it's not about money.
02:22It's about helping humanity.
02:24And it's technology that I know works because we already have
02:28pilot units working and we're already getting massive amounts of data
02:32and training our AI with it.
