00:00Hello! Come on in, guys!
00:03This place is home to one of the nicest residents I've ever met during my cleaning career.
00:11And if you know me, you know that I started cleaning people's homes for free four years ago.
00:17And so far, I have cleaned at least one home for free every week.
00:23And that is my passion. I love to do that. And I'm just gonna keep continue doing that.
00:45Look at this beautiful place. This is heaven to me.
00:51I love, love, love that I've combined two of my passions.
00:56Helping people and cleaning. Deep cleaning. Filthy cleaning.
01:02Because today, we are cleaning this incredibly disgustingly messy apartment entirely.
01:09So there won't be a part two.
01:12Because I've read your comments and you wish more home cleanings, like full home cleanings.
01:19So here they are.
01:22And I was wondering, maybe I will start doing more full home cleaning videos.
01:29So please let me know what you think.
01:31Oh man, there's a ton of hair dye in the sink that soaked into the white plastic.
01:39Too bad.
01:41But yeah.
01:42Besides, I love cleaning so, so much.
01:46And I'm the world's best cleaner.
01:48I also like to help people in difficult situations.
01:52Because I have suffered quite a lot in my own life too.
01:58So I know what it feels like when you can't cope.
02:01When you feel overwhelmed.
02:04When you can't see any future.
02:06And when the future is scary.
02:09It feels like I'm useless. Like I'm empty.
02:13And that it doesn't really matter what I do.
02:16I just try to do something to make myself feel at least a little better.
02:22I hurt myself.
02:24But at the same time, I also don't have the energy to do anything.
02:29It is dark, lonely, unsafe and bleak.
02:34Not every day was spent crying or lying in the bed.
02:38Often I was outside trying to find something that felt even a little better.
02:44I was depressed for 10 years.
02:48So yeah.
02:49If I'm being honest, this could be my home.
02:53That's why I think about what I would hope others would do to help me if I lived here.
02:59I would definitely hope for cleaning help.
03:02And now that I'm healthy, I have so much energy, guys.
03:08Maybe you don't even understand how much energy do I have.
03:12I have it a lot.
03:16And a desire to help and clean.
03:20I mean, I can actually be on the mall the whole day without getting tired at all.
03:25And when I wake up very early in the morning,
03:29I have 100% energy right away when I open my eyes.
03:34It's crazy.
03:37I mean, I have to use my energy.
03:39Otherwise, it won't be a good day.
03:42I can't sit still.
03:43I can't lie around, of course, sometimes.
03:47But like, the whole day?
03:49No way.
03:51I would be so bored.
03:53I would be bored to death.
03:55I need to move work and let it all out.
03:59But when I was depressed, I wasn't myself at all.
04:03But I didn't realize it at the time.
04:06I didn't even know who I was, but I found out through therapy.
04:11Thanks to BetterHelp, which is sponsoring this video
04:14and has helped many people become a better version of themselves.
04:20When I was at my lowest, I still committed to therapy.
04:24I don't know how, but I'm glad I did.
04:27Because it helped me so much to find myself and overcome my depression.
04:33I mean, it didn't happen overnight, but took place over two years.
04:38And I couldn't be where I am today without therapy, for sure.
04:43But still, my therapy continues to support my mental health
04:47and I genuinely enjoy meeting with my therapist.
04:51No matter how hopeless a situation may seem, it can be resolved.
04:57You don't have to face it alone.

05:59Because I truly believe and know that therapy works.
06:04I'm the living proof of that.
06:08I mean, I got my life back and now I want to give other people's,
06:13their lives and homes back.
06:16Yeah.
06:17Ooh, that was satisfying.
06:20A thick layer of dust.
06:23Dust bunnies!
06:24I love that.
06:26Hehe.
06:27Here we have a lot of cobweb.
06:30Ooh, more thick layers of dust.
06:33Love it.
06:34Goodbye, dusty dust.
06:38But now guys, let's move on to the most magnificent Trash's Mountain spot,
06:44the kitchen.
06:46And of course, let's have some fun.
06:49Oh my god!
06:51There's no point of doing this, but it's so much fun.
06:56Oh my god, so much fun.
07:00Look, I have my snow shower with me.
07:04So now it's time to talk a bit about the resident.
07:08Let's call her Joanna.
07:11Couple weeks ago, an email just popped into my inbox with some pictures of this apartment.
07:19Like those trashes popped into that trash bag.
07:23Hehe.
07:24And the pictures of the home, they looked absolutely fantastic.
07:30Yeah, they were from this kitchen.
07:34I was like, oh my god, I need to get there immediately.
07:40I had this crazy look in my eyes as I stared at the pictures.
07:45Imagine the cleaning possibilities.
07:48And I'm here now.
07:51Along with the photos, there was a message that went something like this.
07:56Hi there, I'm reaching out to see if you could lead me a hand.
08:02I'm in a bit of trouble and need some help tackling this huge mess in my home.
08:09So I can get back to my usual housekeeping routine.
08:13Since I do most of my work from home,
08:16it would be really nice to be able to cook on my own meals.
08:21And enjoy them at the kitchen table again.
08:25I'm hoping for a little boost to get started in organizing this chaos.
08:30So that I can manage the basic cleaning and maintenance by myself again.
08:35Oh boy, I was thrilled.
08:38Look at that scrap daddy.
08:42He was having some fun.
08:44But yeah, I was so excited.
08:48And it was so brave of Joanna to ask for my help.
08:52Because it's not an easy thing to do.
08:56We scheduled the cleaning for the following week.
08:59And I could hardly wait.
09:02Finally, today arrived.
09:04This day.
09:06And I got here first thing in the morning.
09:09Joanna was there for greet me.
09:12And she was so nice.
09:14She shared her life story with me.
09:17Which was really touching.
09:20Joanna had a typical happy childhood.
09:24And is now around 50 years old.
09:27Even though her childhood and adult life have gone well.
09:32She has faced significant challenges in her life.
09:37So let's start with the first strategy.
09:40Joanna got married when she was young.
09:43And they had a little baby boy.
09:46Who made her very, very happy.
09:49She and her husband had a good marriage.
09:53And life with their son was going fairly well.
09:57The boy grew up to be a wise adult.
10:00And Joanna is very proud of him.
10:03Ooh, that's some juicy salad.
10:07But when their son moved out, Joanna's husband changed.
10:12He became distant.
10:14And Joanna didn't know what was wrong with him.
10:18And even though they tried to talk about it, he stayed silent.
10:23Joanna said that he just somehow changed.
10:27And Joanna must have wondered if he was cheating on her.
10:32Or if there was something wrong with her.
10:35Trying to figure out why he was so closed off.
10:40He started taking some medication.
10:42And Joanna thought that everyone goes through tough times.
10:47And that he would eventually get better.
10:51But he didn't recover.
10:55Then, on an ordinary day, Joanna came home from work.
11:00She went into their home.
11:03Not this one though.
11:05And found her husband in his office.
11:09He had taken his own life.
11:14Oh man, it feels so wrong that I'm so cheerful and happy here doing this.
11:20Oh, by the way, I'm vacuuming this microwave.
11:25And it's working.
11:26Yeah.
11:27But I'm doing this while I'm telling you the story at the same time.
11:32This sad, sad story.
11:36But it doesn't help if I'm being sad here.
11:39So I'm just being myself.
11:41But yeah, it might seem a little odd that I'm so cheerful while talking about this deep, sad story.
11:49I get that.
11:51But yeah.
11:52Her husband's passing away was just the beginning of the most terrible period in Joanna's life.
12:01Guys, can you imagine that it was pretty hard for Joanna to go to work after that happened?
12:09And she had to take a long sick leave.
12:12She felt like she never really recovered.
12:16And it was so hard for her to return to her old job.
12:22But she did.
12:25But she also moved to this apartment because their old home held all their memories.
12:33So Joanna bought this apartment about 10 years ago.
12:38Okay, what else could go wrong, Joanna thought.
12:43Now she had a new apartment.
12:46She was feeling down, but she still had her job and was trying to cope.
12:53But this situation didn't last long because Joanna got fired.
12:58And that was like a punch to the gut.
13:02Now she was alone, unemployed and older and she was certain she'd never find another job.
13:12Like, who would wanna hire her?
13:15At that time, she talked a lot with her son.
13:19And was sure that no one would ever, never, ever hire her again.
13:26Her son listened to her and he was also having a tough time, obviously.
13:32But Joanna didn't really wanna see any of her other friends anymore.
13:38She just complained about her situation to her son.
13:43I don't know if complaining is the right word, but you get the point.
13:50Joanna was down.
13:53Now she knew what it felt like to have no light in life.
13:57To live as if behind a curtain.
14:01Where you might not want to live, but you have to keep going anyway.
14:06But going where?
14:09Joanna felt like she had nothing at this point.
14:14So she did what so many others do when they feel bad.
14:19She started eating.
14:22She started ordering food to her home.
14:25Burgers, pizzas, chips, candy, coated nuts, cookies, pastries, sushi.
14:35Almost anything that could be delivered.
14:38Because she didn't wanna go out at all.
14:42She just stayed inside and ate.
14:46And that felt good.
14:49At least for a minute.
14:52Food can be a comfort for you.
14:55You can find solace in it.
14:58So I get that.
15:00But Joanna wasn't exercising at all.
15:03Because she was barely walking.
15:06And at the same time, she was eating a lot.
15:10So naturally, she gained several tens of kilos very quickly.
15:16I remember her saying she gained 30 to 50 kilos, which is about 66 to 110 pounds of weight.
15:28Honestly, it's totally understandable that if something makes you feel even a little
15:35tiny bit better, like eating, you start doing it.
15:40Especially when nothing else matters.
15:43Like, who cares if you eat?
15:46Soon, unfortunately, Joanna began experiencing severe symptoms both physically and mentally.
15:55So she went to see a doctor, who referred her to therapy.
16:00And that was likely Joanna's salvation.
16:04Because slowly but surely, she began to regain control of her life.
16:09But still, when she met her son, she still continued to complain to him about everything.
16:17And the son eventually told her,
16:21Please stop complaining.
16:23You are perfectly capable of working and someone will definitely hire you.
16:30At some day.
16:31Joanna didn't believe him, but kind of did.
16:36Because then she started searching a new job.
16:41So she started sending out job applications one after another.
16:46And eventually ended up retraining in the IT field.
16:51Where a lot of opportunities opened up for her.
16:55She never would have believed it, but by the time she finished her training,
17:00she had multiple job offers to choose from.
17:04There was a huge shortage of workers in that particular field.
17:09So she was hired immediately and started working from home.
17:15But there was one problem.
17:17Her home was already full of trashes.
17:21She couldn't even make her morning coffee in the kitchen.
17:25And she had to work surrounded by piles of trashes.
17:30Could you imagine yourself sitting there,
17:32holding meetings and pretending that everything is okay?
17:39Because honestly, when I came here, the first thing she said was how upset she was
17:44that she even had to order coffee to be delivered because she couldn't make it herself anymore.
17:51It was such a sad situation.
17:54Wow, bananas!
17:57They had their own life.
18:00Oh, and I totally forget it, that in the meantime, COVID hit.
18:06And well, you remember what it was like when everything was closed and we were all in lockdown.
18:14So yeah.
18:15But now Joanna had a new plan and she wanted to clean her home herself.
18:21I asked and she had heard of me, but didn't dare to ask for my help.
18:28Because it was 2021.
18:31So the situation was this.
18:34Joanna was back at work, attending therapy and earning a good salary.
18:41So she came up with the idea to order things for her home, forcing her to clean.
18:50She ordered a microwave, a kettle, an air fryer and all sorts of stuff.
18:57So she would have to tidy up the kitchen to make room for them again.
19:03What a plan.
19:04But guess what, guys?
19:05It didn't work.
19:07The plan didn't work, just like my attempts to clean under the sofa didn't work at the first time.
19:15So I had to try it again.
19:18Instead, all the new things she bought just ended up laying around in piles under the
19:24trashes and more clutter and trashes kept piling up.
19:31Okay, maybe it was a good plan, but it just didn't work out.
19:37Finally, after three years, Joanna dared to ask for my help.
19:43And she was amazed when I was able to assist her almost immediately.
19:49In the end, I'll tell you what it was like when Joanna came home
19:53and how beautifully she wrote to me the next day.
19:57But now let's talk about trashes for a moment.
20:01So this company, Sortera, wanted to give me a skip or a container for free.
20:08So I'm getting all the trashes there.
20:11At first, I was a paying customer and I really liked them.
20:16They delivered the skip super fast, like the next day, and the customer service was nice.
20:23The driver always calls me and places the skip in my chosen location.
20:29And they always ask if I need a meat cleaning emptying, and that happens quickly.
20:35Sortera also recycles the waste as best as they can.
20:40And it's super easy to close and open the skip by myself.
20:46So I just tossed trashes from the balcony down and just filled an entire skip.
20:54So this apartment generated a whole skip full of waste.
20:59I love it.
21:00And Sortera covered all the costs.
21:04So big, big, big shout out to them.
21:06If you live in Finland or Sweden and you need a skip or smaller trash containers, contact Sortera.
21:14All right, guys, back to cleaning.
21:17And let's wipe all these dust layers away.
21:22Woo!
21:24Now this TV table is white and clean.
21:28Guys, look at the dust layer on this shelf.
21:32Amazing.
21:33And I love the Sini's Dust Ward.
21:37It's the best tool when dusting high places.
21:40Wow!
21:42And it can be folded.
21:44So it's super amazing.
21:47Wow.
21:48And it's really fun to wipe with it.
21:51And it also goes to tricky places like under your fridge.
21:57It has this microfiber towel on it so you can wash it on your washing machine.
22:05This floor isn't too bad, though.
22:08It's just dust and derbies.
22:11So I won't wash it.
22:14Waste of time.
22:15So I'll just wipe it with a damp cloth.
22:18And I found this rug.
22:21Let's put it here.
22:23Okay, I need to put some weights there so it stays there.
22:31I was in such a hurry.
22:32I think this cleaning took me like three days, I guess.
22:37And when Joanna came home, she was stunned.
22:42Visibly stunned.
22:44It was really funny because she couldn't imagine what her home could look like.
22:51I felt so, so happy.
22:54It is such a good feeling.
22:56Even though I enjoy cleaning itself, knowing that it really helps people.
23:03Wow.
23:04It is such an amazing feeling.
23:08So here's what Joanna wrote to me the next day.
23:12Thank you, Auri, a million times over.
23:15This morning over breakfast, I shed tears of happiness and gratitude.
23:21It's wonderful that there are people like you.
23:24You can't believe me when I say that I will never forget you,
23:29no matter how bad my dementia might get.
23:32Have a wonderful midsummer.
23:35And then I replied and she wrote me another one.
23:40Today my order from CineCleaning arrived.
23:43Now I finally have a proper squeegee, cleaning supplies and microfiber cloths.
23:50I promise I will never let my home get into that state again.
23:55I won't buy any more yarn until I untangle all the mess I have.
24:01I decided to take it one step at a time.
24:04The radiator valves were replaced yesterday too.
24:08You are such a lifesaver.
24:11Do you even realize it?
24:13Have a wonderful summer.
24:15And thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
24:18You for everything.
24:20I still have plenty to do.
24:23I just finished work and will start making dinner.
24:27It's wonderful to have my kitchen back.
24:30Yesterday I cleaned the toilet and realized it wasn't that bad.
24:35I hope you don't think I'm crazy, but every morning and every lunch break
24:40I'm so happy to be able to eat and drink in my own kitchen.
24:45Yesterday I told my mom that I can't even imagine where I'd be without you, Olli.
24:51I just wanted to express my gratitude for everything you've done for me.
24:57It feels so good to know there are people like you who care.
25:02Yesterday I remembered how dark things were for me back in 2020
25:08when I just wanted to escape life and felt like a useless burden to society.
25:15Now I feel completely different, especially since you helped me tackle this last obstacle.
25:22As I said before, I will never forget you or what you did for me.
25:27You gave me my home and my life back.
25:31That's no small thing to do.
25:33Pat yourself on the back for me and say to yourself,
25:37well done, Olli.
25:39You are golden.
25:42I can't.
25:43This was definitely the cutest message I've ever received.
25:48And I wish Joanna all the best.
25:51But now I'm on my way to a new dirty home.
25:56And please, guys, remember to subscribe to my channel.
26:00It means the world to me.
26:02See you next week!
26:04Bye-bye!
