00:00The last Labour government reformed the NHS to deliver better outcomes for
00:04patients and better value for taxpayers. Conservative governments then undid that
00:10good work, which only goes to prove once again that only a Labour government can
00:16reform the NHS. And my Labour government has a huge mandate for change. We're
00:22mission-driven and I think the themes of this conference today are fitting for
00:27this moment. Challenge, change and hope. Because the challenge is clear before us.
00:36The change could amount to the biggest reimagining of the NHS since its birth.
00:42And the hope, well that's what's really exciting and galvanising about this
00:49moment. Because if we get this right, people can look back and say this was
00:57the generation that took the NHS from the worst crisis in its history, got it
01:04back on its feet and made it fit for the future.
