00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. glorified the 107th birthday of his father and former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.

00:11In the memory of his father's leadership and legacy, the most important thing for him was to serve and defend the Filipinos and our country.

00:37Ayon sa Pangulo, yan ang aral na lagi niyang magiging gabay lalo na sa kanyang liderato ngayon.

00:42Binigyang diin niya ng Pangulo kasabay ng paggunita ng 107th birth anniversary ng kanyang amang na ginanap sa Batac, Ilocos Norte.

00:50When I look back now, the life that I have led, and I see what is the guiding principle that I can learn from my father.

00:59When things are confusing, when things become so complex, what is the essence of service that my father taught me?

01:09And that is very simple, but not easy to achieve.

01:14But it is simple, be a Filipino, serve the Filipino, protect Filipinos and the Philippines.

01:23Kinilala din ng Pangulo ang liderato ng kanyang ama na ayon sa kanya ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon ngayon.

01:29His first foray into public service after his university and his law school was as a soldier, as a soldier during the war.

01:42Where he was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to defend his country and his people.

01:48Hinimog din niya ang bawat isa na panatilihin ang kanilang pagmamahal sa bayan.

01:53Kasabay ang pagtiyak na sisikapin ng kanyang administrasyon na patuloy na makapagsilbi ng maayo sa bawat Pilipino hango sa nagawa ng kanyang ama.

02:01That is my continuing goal. That is the credo that we should live by.

02:07And for that, I will be eternally grateful to my dad for the lessons that he taught us, for the values that imbued in our very souls.

02:22And that has served us all well.
