04:18The local authorities and all those involved, including the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Guard, the National Security, the Assistance Forces, the Civil Defense, as well as the relevant technical administrations, have been following the registration since the first moments, and they have been gathering all the necessary human and logistical resources for the immediate intervention to confront these exceptional situations and provide the necessary support to the residents.
04:46The efforts of all those involved to break the isolation of the affected areas, to restart the road networks, to supply electricity and drinking water, and to provide communication services, and to draw attention to the fact that the efforts of those involved are part of a comprehensive approach that the public authorities have adopted to confront these exceptional situations since August 27, 2024.
05:15Through the implementation of the work of the General Directorate, the establishment of the local population, and the provision of all necessary means in the areas that may be necessary, and by the Ministry of Interior, by the local population and the visitors of the affected areas, by taking the strictest precautions, and by avoiding any behavior that may pose a threat to their lives, especially since the air situation is still unstable, with full commitment to the guidelines and instructions of the authorities in order to maintain their safety.
05:44We are joined now by Abdul Moula Bukhrais from Tamanart. Welcome, Abdul Moula, if you could bring us closer to the picture there, and where did the efforts to rescue and evacuate reach?
05:58Welcome, everyone. Welcome, dear viewers. These are exceptional landslides that the region has not witnessed for many years. As the Ministry of Interior reported, more than 250 mm of this area was hit, especially in the Daugrad and Gmeel districts, about 50 km from here, from the center of Tamanart.
06:24These exceptional landslides that brought life to about 7 bodies were completely evacuated. The 7th body arrived here, about 20 minutes before Tamanart, of course, by the Civil Defense, as well as by the auxiliary forces, to be transported later.
06:42Of course, the search efforts are still ongoing in order to reach the 7 missing bodies among the 23 houses located in the Daugrad districts, which are located on the slopes of the mountain, and which brought these exceptional landslides from the small atlas.
07:02Of course, Tamanart Center, for example, did not have more than 1 mm of landslides, but these landslides came concentrated in one area. This explains the nature of the major losses and damage that the region suffered, and that the houses were completely damaged and led to other houses being partially damaged.
07:23Of course, early in the morning, reinforcements of the Royal Armed Forces, the Civil Defense, as well as the Ministry of Transport, Logistics, and Water, through the huge vehicles arrived here.
07:34On the way here, we noticed that there is a lot of use of these vehicles in order to facilitate the separation of the isolated areas, as well as the restoration of the roads to their original state, as well as in order to assist the intervention forces, so that perhaps in the coming days, which are expected, the landslides will be more significant.
07:59So, on the ground, there is still work underway in order to restore the roads to their original state. We are on the way. We suffered a lot in order to get here because of a number of roads that fell.
08:13Of course, we urge the citizens to abide by the instructions of the local authorities, because the confusion and the desire to get here may lead to the severing of some areas, which appear to be low-lying, but in many cases are steep.
08:29Of course, we must always abide by the local authorities, which are in charge of the safety of these landslides and their dangers, and which are, of course, still in operation.
08:47Thank you for all this information. We will return to you later.
08:51On the other hand, a team of engineers and specialists working on the reconstruction process in the Hawza region works around the clock to ensure compliance with the engineering standards, especially those related to the resistance to the landslides,
09:07and to receive the committee on a daily basis to present their complaints or adjust the design of their homes, as well as to follow the financial support allocated to them at the stages according to the progress of the work.
09:25This is the end of the broadcast. Thank you for watching.
