Noradjuha Quantong's senior football captain James Hallett spoke with Wimmera Mail-Times journalist John Hall about how his side is feeling ahead of the 2024 HDFNL grand final.
Transcript
00:00Nigel Quantong takes on Harrabal Morrow on Saturday, September 14th in the HGFNL Grand Final.
00:05And I went out to Quantong to catch up with the Bombers' captain James Hullett about how his side is feeling heading into the decider.
00:12Alright mate, first off, Grand Final this weekend, how's the team feeling?
00:16Over the moon to be honest. It's been a bit of a journey from last year, obviously bad out in the prelim.
00:21And there's been a bit of heartbreak over the preseason and the boys really got to work, so pretty excited over here.
00:28And obviously you're taking on Harrabal Morrow, a bit of a storybook ending for the season.
00:32Having them being the side that spurred you guys on to have this late season momentum, how do you feel about taking that on?
00:39Yeah, obviously it's a mountain to climb, they've been the benchmark for 5-10 years now, it's been a long time coming.
00:46But yeah, that touch up they gave us late in the season, we all sat down and had a bit of a look at ourselves
00:52and sort of wondered where we wanted to be and what sort of team and club we wanted to be in the future.
00:57And it really did spur us on to put those few performances together late in the year and the first couple of finals.
01:03So yeah, hopefully we can stick it to them on Sunday and see how we go.
