00:00Former Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, who is in a self-imposed exile abroad,

00:05surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation, NCR.

00:09According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago,

00:11Mabilog surrendered in Naia, Terminal 3 in Pasay yesterday.

00:14In 2017, Mabilog left the country after former President Rodrigo Duterte

00:18transferred him to the Drug Matrix.

00:21But he was formally arrested by the NBI

00:23because of his graft and violation of the Code of Conduct of Public Officials.

00:28He was convicted of favoring Mabilog to a towing company

00:31for public-private projects in his city in 2015.

00:35Mabilog has previously denied the accusations.

00:38Mabilog is currently in jail at the NBI Detention Facility in Ermita, Manila.
