00:00So I had a chat with one of my students during the week
00:02and it was an interesting conversation.
00:03I thought I'd bring it up here
00:04and I have asked permission and they said, it's fine.
00:06So she's hitting around the 50 to $55,000 per month
00:10pretty regularly, which is awesome.
00:12But then she came on via messenger
00:15and she had a chat to me.
00:16She asked a couple of questions.
00:17I congratulate us a lot of money you're earning.
00:18And she said this, which made me cringe.
00:21And I had to instantly stop the conversation
00:23and basically put her in a place.
00:25What I basically said was that I'm earning about 50, 55,
00:28sometimes a bit less,
00:28sometimes a little bit more per month.
00:30What I'm thinking of doing is adding this, this, this,
00:34taking this out, adding this,
00:35charging for my strategy calls,
00:37adding another website, another funnel.
00:40And I remember in the message,
00:41I just basically wrote, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
00:44The worst thing you guys can do,
00:45and this is the conversation I had with her through messenger
00:48the worst thing we can do,
00:49and I found myself doing this a lot.
00:52The worst thing we can do when things are going right
00:54is to touch what's going right and start to screw things up.
00:58A lot of people think that if I'm making good money,
01:00if I start adding things, I'm not saying don't do more,
01:02we'll talk about that in a moment,
01:04but adding various business funnels,
01:06adding various business systems,
01:07adding this and duplicating this
01:09and moving the elements around
01:11that basically got you to the dance in the first place,
01:13as my dad would say,
01:15you will start to screw things up.
01:16The worst thing you can do when things are going well
01:19is start to play around and touch it.
01:21Why? Because you'll make it worse
01:22and you'll destroy the whole thing.
01:24So what I told her is leave the system as it is.
01:29You should be able to track
01:29exactly where this money is coming from.
01:31Is that the case?
01:31She said, yes.
01:32Do you know where your audience is?
01:34Yes.
01:35Are you crystal clear on your niche?
01:36Yes.
01:37Are you good on the strategy calls?
01:38Yes.
01:38And I said, well, why touch any of it?
01:40The only thing you should be doing
01:42is just drawing more attention,
01:44bringing more people into this system,
01:46which is basically do more social media.
01:49If you're earning $55,000 per month
01:52and you're doing, I don't know,
01:54five videos per week on YouTube,
01:56double it, start doing 10.
01:58These are the things you should be taking more,
02:01putting more attention on and doing more of.
02:03You want to do more of the things to grow the audience,
02:06for them to be able to see this funnel,
02:08to be able to see what you're offering,
02:10to be able to see the option to draw a strategy call,
02:12to be able to see you as an expert.
02:14Don't screw what's going on behind the scenes.
02:17Touching the system to think it'll make it better or faster
02:20or be able to track more money
02:22will actually do the opposite.
02:24So guys, as a big business rule,
02:26and again, I find myself doing this,
02:28my ego kicks in a bit,
02:29when things are going great,
02:31just do more of the things that made it great
02:33in the first place.
02:34And it's always going to be doing more social media.
02:36You'll never get less by doing more, guys.
02:38So I know if I'm scaling, what do I do?
02:41I touch the system.
02:42My system is actually very, very simple.
02:44These are behind the scenes system
02:46that makes my company work.
02:47What I do is just increase the social media.
02:49I make more videos.
02:51I spend more time on social media answering questions.
02:54I post every, instead of every three hours,
02:56I might do every two hours.
02:57I work an extra day.
02:58I take less time off.
02:59Whatever it is to scale.
03:00My scale is always,
03:03that's what I explain to them,
03:03my scaling idea is always,
03:05I'm just going to do more of the things
03:07that bring more of an audience
03:09to see what I'm offering.
03:11That's it.
03:11And as a matter of fact,
03:13I'm always looking for ways, if it's possible,
03:15I'm just looking for a side glance,
03:17almost like a bird's eye view.
03:18Is any part of the system making this slower
03:21than it needs to be?
03:22It doesn't mean I'll go and touch it.
03:24But sometimes I might be able to tinker
03:25with just something small
03:26to make it more user-friendly.
03:28I know when I first started this company,
03:30I had so many different offers.
03:32I had so many different types of audience.
03:33My niche wasn't really correct.
03:34I was offering too many trainings.
03:36And all of these things were all directed
03:37into just this mishmash of systems.
03:40And I wonder why everyone found it confusing
03:41to even enroll into one program.
03:43So I took a step back.
03:44I made it really, really simple.
03:45And if you want to call it a funnel, that's fine.
03:47All we do is a shit ton of social media,
03:50as you guys know,
03:51make a ton of videos
03:52and make it give away a lot of free value.
03:54Always thinking about ways we can give more free value,
03:56just like this video.
03:57And I'm always pointing it towards,
03:59we have what is called an on-season or an off-season.
04:03If I'm having an off-season,
04:04off-season is when we're not teaching ACH,
04:06Advanced Conversational Hypnosis,
04:08our training program.
04:09And again, yes, we are teaching that.

04:16So when I'm on-season, when I'm on,
04:18I'm directing all my social media
04:20towards that one training program.
04:23When I'm not teaching something live,

04:27Now you can take a pick
04:28of all the different programs I have.
04:30But that's as complex as the system gets.
04:33I don't have multiple this and multiple that.
04:35And what this allows me to do, guys,
04:36and I was explaining to my students,
04:37it stops things collapsing.
04:39I think the big reason why a business collapse,
04:41because they make it too confusing.
04:43There's too many systems.
04:44When there's too many things going on,
04:47all it takes is one thing to collapse
04:48and like a domino,
04:49everything starts to collapse.
04:50So my business systems,
04:53I've got students in a 100K catching program,
04:53extremely simple.
04:55And if something does break,
04:56it's easy to see what is breaking.
04:58So all in all, guys,
04:59the moral of the story
05:00when I was talking to my student is,
05:02if you're making good money right now,
05:04don't touch the system,
05:05just increase the inputs.
05:07The inputs is the social media,
05:08thus increase the inputs.
05:10You get more people to see what you're offering.
05:12The outputs will increase as well.
05:14Now, if your thing was,
05:15I can't even get my first client,
05:17more than likely,
05:18you don't have a system.
05:20A system, having a system
05:21is just as important as not touching it
05:22when it's working.
05:23You need something.
05:25It's quite interesting that
05:26when people join the 100K coaching program,
05:28and I was talking to students about this,
05:29having a laugh,
05:30but it's really, really true.
05:31Now maybe sit back and think.
05:32Our first set of modules in week one
05:35is all about building the system.
05:37It's a big week one.
05:38We're building everything.
05:39We're finding the niche.
05:40We're getting your prices,
05:41your packaging, your MOS,
05:42building all the systems,
05:43building all the infrastructure for social media,
05:46getting your strategy course group ready,
05:48get your future value deck ready,
05:49proposal set.
05:50It's a big, it's basically the setup.
05:52It's really all the boring stuff, guys.
05:54Hardly anyone watches that week.
05:55They wait till week two,
05:56because week two is all about getting paid clients.
05:58We get straight into how to use social media.
06:00And they'll use social media for a while
06:02without having built anything in week one,
06:04and then turn around and say,
06:05well, Scott, it's not working.
06:06And it's very easy for me
06:07to go through their social media,
06:09and say, well, that's not set up right.
06:10Where's this thing?
06:11No link here.
06:12This isn't set up right.
06:13Where's the strategy call script?
06:16Where's the future value deck?
06:17Have you got that ready?
06:18I don't even know your prices.
06:19I can't even see what your niche is.
06:20You haven't changed the banner.
06:21And it's quite interesting to see
06:22that the reason why businesses are failing
06:25is because there is no system.
06:26So again, if you don't have clients,
06:28you need a system.
06:29Believe it or not,
06:30there are 68 systems in a hypnotherapy business, guys.
06:3268 systems, just even at a basic level.
06:35If one of those things is broken or is off,
06:38the rest won't work.
06:39So don't be too quickly,
06:40too quick and too much of a haste
06:42to get into just, I want paid clients.
06:44You need the infrastructure and the system
06:46to be able to support getting those clients.
06:48And again, as I said to my students,
06:50when things are going amazingly,
06:52don't touch the system,
06:53don't add things to it because you'll screw it up.
06:55You'll touch the wrong thing
06:56and move the wrong thing,
06:57take this out, all of a sudden it will collapse.
06:59And you go from 55 grand a month
07:00all the way down to zero
07:01and wondering what the hell happened.
07:02Instead, do more social media, guys.
07:04Get more eyes on your offer
07:06and that's how you scale, guys.
