Social media has changed so many lives in so many ways, but one of the most positive stories in a long time comes from a bagel shop on the aptly-named Cakebread Street.
The team at First Street Bagels launched their big idea on social media and have accumulated thousands of followers, all while managing to plan, create and launch a new storefront.
We went to talk to them about their story.

00:00My name is Khalifa, and I started a bagel shop with no experience.
00:04Khalifa runs First Street Bagels. I went in to go talk to him about how social media has given his business an opportunity to skyrocket.
00:11After all, that's how I heard about them.
00:13A lot of shops, when they actually form and they're ready to open, that's when they start actually seeking out new customers.
00:18For us, it was the other way around. We wanted to have quiet customers before we even launched.
00:24We thought, well, what better way to showcase the whole shop and the brand and everything in a serious part.
00:34We were just being genuine. Our tagline for the first three seconds was starting a bagel shop with no experience.
00:41One video popped up, hit a million views, and then the rest of it just started following in.
00:47It was just more showing the people, being transparent, showing the actual journey, the good stuff and the bad stuff.
00:54Obviously, we've got a huge community that follow us day in, day out, send us encouragement and support.
01:02People are friendly. It's not like any other city. Manchester is the best city in the UK.
01:09Everyone's friendly. Everyone's warming, welcoming.
01:12We see all different types of people from all different walks of life, different ethnicities, different backgrounds.
01:18Manchester is like one huge family.
01:20The journey has been the journey. At the end of the day, you have to walk before you can run.
01:24It did take us a while to get there, but obviously, now being here in the present moment, the feeling is surreal.
01:32Being a bagel lover, I got back to the office. I had to buy one.
01:35I got their chicken chipotle bagel, which is their best seller, and it was startlingly good.
01:39I also got an orange juice, which is made with imported Egyptian oranges.
01:42It's great to feel like I've gone on this journey with Khalifa and see it come to fruition in such a great way.
01:47That is amazing. I really can't recommend First Street Bagels enough.
01:52From the story, to the journey, to the actual quality of the product, please give it a go.
