00:00Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler will be facing Bryson
00:06DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in a made-for-TV match later in
00:10the year. It is it is the match that is is held on TNT. We've
00:13obviously seen a number of different iterations of this
00:16competition, many of them featuring athletes from other
00:18sports, but this one's gonna be a pure golf version of this.
00:21It's gonna be held mid-December in Las Vegas. They're running
00:28through the release right now, but McIlroy, Koepka, DeChambeau
00:31have all appeared in versions of this match. It's kinda
00:34interesting. This is Scottie's first run. This Rory has some
00:38quotes on it. I'm thrilled to partner with Scottie. What
00:40promises to be an exciting duel against Bryson and Brooks in
00:43Vegas this December. This isn't just a contest between some of
00:45the golf's major champions. It's an event designed to energize
00:49the fans. We're all here to put on a great show and contribute
00:52to a goodwill event that brings the best together again. I did
00:55think it's it was interesting that PGA Tour has declined to
00:58comment on this event. You know, I think that it's it's been
01:02reported to varying degrees that the negotiations with the PIF
01:07haven't picked up a ton of steam or or just did a standstill for
01:10a variety of different reasons. We've discussed some of that on
01:13that show just the makeup of these various, you know, player
01:16run committees and negotiation committees of like what
01:19everyone's goal is and are we kinda pulling at the same rope
01:22or do different people want different things? But just when
01:26you saw this news break and this story, you know, where'd
01:30your head go first in in in terms of what this represents
01:34for the state of professional golf? Well, I I I think I'll
01:39definitely watch because I think there's gonna be a deal. It's
01:42actually probably the one I've been most interested. I will
01:45watch in a while, right? Yeah. Very interested in watching
01:47just because it's so awkward like how much you gotta talk in
01:51that and you kind of you know, you kind of have to make make
01:55the action. You gotta make make the the energy, the drama and I
01:59think there's gonna be a lot of just what do you think we'll
02:01get from Scotty? Like, do we think we're gonna get a little
02:04trash talk from Scotty? I think here and there. I think it'll
02:09be interesting is, you know, who's gonna draw blood first on
02:12the Rory Bryson battle? Like, I think that'll be an interesting
02:15conversation. I think Brooks will probably be the one is to
02:18slide in there a bit. I I'm surprised that Scotty's doing
02:22it, you know, like, yeah, it it's he could have easily said
02:25no to something like this and I think it only helps the the PGA
02:29tour that Scotty is playing, you know, being the guy that had
02:32the season that he did have winning as much as he did and
02:35Rory's obviously, you know, playing a bunch of these but
02:38he's he's also a global superstar that people turn the
02:41TV on for so interesting from that side and then Bryson's
02:45obviously, you know, won the US Open and just crushing it on
02:49all the content he's doing. So, this is honestly his probably
02:52fifth major of the year is playing in something like this.
02:55It's like, this is what he wants to be doing now is stuff
02:58stuff like this and then Brooks Koepka, I think it's just like
03:02how much am I getting paid and when are we teeing off? Like, I
03:04I don't think he really cares but it's an opportunity to to
03:09always get to see Brooks play and the one one I'm not
03:14surprised that Brooks and Scotty are both playing is is
03:17Blake Smith both represents both of these two guys. So, I
03:21think that's how that that kind of got that shoot in there. How
03:24whatever got started, whether it was to Brooks and then they're
03:28like, hey, we need to find another guy with Scotty play.
03:30Maybe that's kind of how that all got got situated but I
03:35didn't catch you at the beginning. If you did say it's
03:37it's in Vegas and then were they playing Vegas? Is it the
03:40win? I got a shadow. Uh, you know that I don't like
03:44watching tournaments at the win. It's like, I don't know
03:46either. Like that golf course is just does not do it for me.
