00:48The victim was the one who hit him.
00:51Our suspect was forced to fight
00:55because he was being forced by the victim to hit him.
00:59Some witnesses said that the fight was still going on.
01:02But when another suspect arrived,
01:04he urged the two men to fight again.
01:07And that's when the more dangerous fight happened,
01:10which resulted in the victim's death.
01:13Our suspect said that the victim will be banned from
01:19where he held his head and hit the cement
01:24where he lost consciousness.
01:27The victim, RJ Tanteo,
01:30is a grade 7 student and resident of Sitio Maligaya, Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.
01:36The suspects, who are 16 and 17 years old,
01:40went to Barangay San Isidro to inform about the incident.
01:45They admitted that they did it.
01:48Now, they don't expect that the child will die.
01:52What they expected is that the child will be shot.
01:55According to the police,
01:56when the suspects were arrested,
01:58they were warned that witnesses would come back to the scene.
02:02According to the victim's family,
02:04based on the testimony of some witnesses,
02:06it's not true that the victim was the one who started the fight.
02:09My brother was the one who started the fight.
02:12Now, there are two kids,
02:15he suddenly fell down and got shot.
02:17This one got hurt,
02:19he fell down and that's when the commotion started.

02:27the victim got sick and was immediately taken to the hospital.
02:31The victim is now bedridden.
02:33It's very painful.
02:34It's like I was crushed.
02:36From the child until he grew up,
02:38you were the one who guided him.
02:39It's like they're just going to take away a person's life.
02:43The minor suspects are currently in custody
02:46of the Kalinga House in Barangay De La Paz.
02:48GMA Integrated News is working hard to get them released.
02:53If I can't see my child alive,
02:55I also want them to be jailed for the rest of their lives.
02:58EJ Gomez reports for GMA Integrated News.
03:03Breaking news,
03:05The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106
03:08has ordered the transfer of Kingdom of Jesus Christ,
03:10Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, to the New Quezon City Jail
03:14in Barangay Bagong Silangan.
03:16According to the court,
03:17he will be accompanied by his accomplice,
03:19Crescente Canada.
03:21Meanwhile, the other three were transferred
03:23to the Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory in Camp Karingal.
03:27Currently, five are in the PNP Custodial Center.
03:30The Philippine National Police responded
03:32to why Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's mugshots were blurred
03:37and his accomplices were accused.
03:39PNP Spokesperson Police Colonel Jim Fajardo explained,
03:42this is not the first time the PNP has released a mugshot
03:46that covers the faces of the arrested.
03:48They only obey the orders of the Commission on Human Rights
03:52to protect the dignity of the accused.
03:55Yesterday, they were sent to Camp Krame,
03:57they were noticed to be covered from the face to the body of the pastor.
04:01His accomplices' faces were also covered.
04:04According to Fajardo,
04:05the accused have the right to ask for their faces to be covered.
04:12On Friday,
04:13the Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy,
04:15may be sentenced to death.
04:17According to PNP Spokesperson Police Colonel Jim Fajardo,
04:20the Department of Justice will discuss the schedule of the arraignments
04:24so that they will not be held simultaneously.
04:26The arraignment of the pastor's child and sexual abuse case
04:29will be conducted via videoconferencing
04:31in the Queso City Regional Trial Court
04:33while the witness will read in person
04:35the case of Qualified Human Trafficking in Pasig, RTC.
04:41The camp of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader,
04:44Pastor Apollo Quiboloy,
04:45is asking to be house-arrested or transferred to the custody of the AFP.
04:49The government and the camp of Quiboloy
04:53will decide if he surrendered or was cornered by the authorities.
04:56Maris Umali reports.
05:03On August 24,
05:04when the police entered the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ
05:08or KOJC in Davao City,
05:11their mission is to arrest the KOJC founder,
05:13Pastor Apollo Quiboloy,
05:15and other accused
05:17who were put in the hands of the authorities in Quiboloy
05:19who were held in Camp Krame.
05:21According to the PNP,
05:22he was the one wearing an eagle cap
05:25covering his face and body.
05:28The faces of the accused and KOJC members
05:32were also covered,
05:33namely Jacqueline Roy,
05:34Ingrid Canada,
05:35Crescente Canada,
05:36and Silvia Semanes.
05:39Before this,
05:42they were given Miranda Rights
05:44and were put under a booking procedure.
05:46Those who were caught in this process
05:49were learned by the PNP
05:50before it was shared in the media.
05:52They were given mug shots.
05:54They are now being held in the PNP Custodial Center.
05:58The camp of Quiboloy
06:00surrendered and did not arrest the pastor.
06:03An arrest is only made
06:04when there is an actual restraint of the person to be arrested.
06:07In this case, there was no actual restraint.
06:09He decided to make the ultimate sacrifice of surrendering
06:14to end the suffering of his members.
06:18But President Bombong Marcos
06:20and the Interior Department
06:22cornered him.
06:23That's why he was forced to surrender.
06:25He won't be released
06:26if we don't chase him.
06:29What happened was,
06:30he was forced to leave
06:32because the police were already close to him.
06:34Our police were determined
06:36and I instructed them
06:38the last time,
06:39I said,
06:40when we enter,
06:41don't leave until you catch him.
06:45And that's exactly what they did.
06:47For me,
06:48it makes no difference
06:49if you surrender.
06:50Because that's it.
06:52Practically, you're surrounded.
06:54The DILG Secretary
06:56is now spreading information
06:58outside the KOJC compound
07:00that Quiboloy surrendered.
07:01It's like a cartoon.
07:03Do you know why?
07:05If you're already outside,
07:06then run away.
07:08They've been saying this for a long time.
07:10He won't be caught.
07:11Right?
07:12The DILG wants to investigate
07:14and find out
07:15what happened to Quiboloy.
07:17The pastor's lawyer
07:19is ready to investigate.
07:22He had to meet his leaders again.
07:26That is why on September 8,
07:28there was already a decision
07:30that he will surrender.
07:32And on September 8 in the morning,
07:34I was informed about it.
07:35And in front of the ISAF officers
07:39and the PNP,
07:41the decision was made.
07:42Prior to September 7,
07:44he was not in the compound.
07:45He is also indignant
07:46that he only just found out
07:47where Quiboloy was hiding.
07:49He told me that he was in the mountains
07:51of Davao City.
07:53I was not able to verify from him
07:56that what happened was too fast.
07:59Last Friday,
08:01the PNP received a tip
08:03that Quiboloy was hiding
08:04inside the ACQ College of Ministry.
08:081,000 staff and SWAT
08:10were assigned to surround the place
08:12to ensure that no one could leave.
08:14The final assault was successful,
08:16but there were surrender feelers,
08:18which is why the entry was suspended.
08:19At 10 p.m., we heard
08:21from the feelers.
08:23The National Headquarters called
08:25because the negotiations
08:27were being held by high-level feelers.
08:30I said, okay, sir,
08:31I will hold until 1 a.m.
08:32My first assault was at 1 a.m.
08:36We will hold until 3 p.m.
08:38Quiboloy's camp wanted to surrender
08:41and board an airplane to Manila.
08:44A C-130 plane of the Air Force
08:46arrived in Davao
08:47and left the hideout
08:48that Quiboloy was hiding in.
08:50They were boarded by a convoy
08:51that traveled with them
08:52to board the C-130.
08:54The President said
08:55that Quiboloy asked for the presence
08:57of the Armed Forces of the Philippines
08:59in his landing.
09:00But the AFP and PNP
09:02were only there to reinforce the operation.
09:05I hope the AFP has a presence
09:07because they said they don't trust the police.
09:10So, fine.
09:11That's what we did.
09:12But let's be very clear.
09:14This was a police-led operation.
09:17There were cases of qualified human trafficking
09:19and child abuse and sexual abuse
09:21here in the Philippines.
09:23The Federal Bureau of Investigation
09:25of America wanted Quiboloy
09:27for cases of sexual trafficking of minors,
09:30fraud, conspiracy, bulk cash smuggling,
09:33and money laundering.
09:34Now that the arrest order
09:36of the court for Pastor Quiboloy
09:38has been carried out,
09:39the next thing he will face
09:40is in the hands of the judicature.
09:42The President assured
09:43that his rights will be protected
09:45and that there will be no special treatment
09:47that will be given to him.
09:49Quiboloy was brought by his lawyer
09:51to the PNP Custodial Center.
09:53They asked the court
09:54to remove the pastor.
09:56We filed a motion
09:57for the transfer of his custody
09:59to the AFP,
10:00citing, among other grounds,
10:02security reasons.
10:04And we are hoping
10:05that the court would grant the same.
10:07Now, we're at the very least
10:09a house arrest,
10:12knowing that he also,
10:13he is already 74 years old,
10:15he has a health condition.
10:17But the Defense Department
10:18said that the transfer of Quiboloy's custody
10:20to the AFP will be followed.
10:22The AFP facilities
10:23have strict operational security protocols.
10:27That's why this is not the agency
10:29that should be holding
10:30the suspects in criminal cases.
10:33Maris Umali reports
10:35for GMA Integrated News.
10:38The Department of Justice
10:39is preparing
10:40the possible request of the United States
10:42to extradite Pastor Apolo Quiboloy
10:44to face his other cases.
10:46According to the DOJ,
10:48Quiboloy's cases here in the Philippines
10:50have nothing to do with politics.
10:52Let's hear from Salima Refran.
10:57Now, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ
10:59has approved Pastor Apolo Quiboloy.
11:03The Justice Secretary cried
11:05that he has nothing to do with politics
11:07in the justice system of the Philippines.
11:11My instructions to the prosecution
11:14is to prepare all the evidence
11:16so we can ask for continuous trial
11:18to finish the case
11:20that needs to be handled.
11:23And we would like the Supreme Court,
11:25if that happens,
11:27not to allow for dilatory tactics.
11:31After his cases here,
11:33he will discuss
11:35the possible request of the United States.
11:37We expect the U.S. to file
11:39an extradition request
11:42very soon
11:44since he's already in custody.
11:46And remember,
11:48we have a treaty with the U.S.
11:50and it's part of the law of the land.
11:52We will have to play it out well.
11:55We have to study it properly
11:57so that we know what to do.
11:58Faced with the sexual trafficking of minors,
12:00fraud, conspiracy, bulk cash smuggling,
12:03and money laundering in the U.S.,
12:05the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ,
12:07or KOJC,
12:08while he already has cases
12:10of qualified human trafficking,
12:11child abuse, and sexual abuse
12:13here in the Philippines.
12:15The Philippines and the U.S.
12:17also have freeze orders
12:19for bank accounts, properties,
12:21and other assets of Quiboloy.
12:23Remember,
12:25the cases in the U.S. and here
12:27are almost the same.
12:29They were filed by different kinds of witnesses.
12:31They're not the same.
12:33Their lives are different,
12:35but they have the same claim.
12:37The cases in the Philippines
12:39are anchored in the claim of Alias Amanda,
12:41a minor who was brought
12:43from Pasig to Davao City
12:45who was temporarily brought
12:47by Quiboloy.
12:49Although happy with his arrest,
12:51he continued to be harassed online
12:53according to his lawyer.
12:55In addition to this,
12:57it seems like justice
12:59is catching up.
13:01They're preparing to face Quiboloy
13:03and other accused in court.
13:05He's just studying
13:07in the Witness Protection Program
13:09of the Justice Department.
13:11In the U.S., the victims
13:13and former KOJC workers
13:15are also happy with the arrest
13:17of Quiboloy and other accused.
13:19But how did they call?
13:21We were called
13:23to appeal to you
13:25to send help
13:27to rescue
13:29our PNP,
13:31those who are still in
13:33Quiboloy's quarters,
13:35especially the minors.
