President and CEO of Waffle House Walt Ehmer passed away at 58 after a long illness. He joined Waffle House in 1992 and became president in 2002, later adding the roles of CEO and chairman. Ehmer, a Georgia Tech graduate, was involved with various community organizations, including the Atlanta Police Foundation and Georgia Tech boards. The Waffle House board of directors expressed that he will be deeply missed by the entire company.
