Travel chaos for passengers at London Gatwick

Air traffic control staff shortages at London Gatwick has caused major disruption.

00:11cancelled after a combination of bad weather and air traffic control staff

00:16shortages. Around 3,500 passengers expecting to fly to or from London

00:22Gatwick on 20 flights on Monday morning have been grounded. Most are booked on

00:27EasyJet which cancelled its first flight of the day to Ibiza and six others

00:31including links to Naples and Nice. Passengers were told the cause was air

00:37traffic control restrictions outside the airline's control. The cancellations are

00:42in addition to 64 flights grounded by EasyJet on Sunday due to short notice

00:47staff shortage in Gatwick's control tower. At least a hundred flights were

00:53cancelled on Sunday evening at Gatwick and others run extremely late.
