00:58Drew Hamilton, a photographer, was in for a once-in-a-lifetime meeting with one of these
01:03magnificent monsters.
01:06A gigantic brown bear approached his station and sat right next to him while he was shooting
01:12and photographing other brown bears, it was as if the bear had forgotten what kind of
01:17species it was.
01:19Drew could only keep calm and enjoy his new friend's company, and he was probably frozen
01:24in dread.
01:26However, after a few minutes, the bear leaves his new human friend.
01:31Gorillas are the largest living primates, and Uganda is known to be the home of thousands
01:36of silverback gorillas.
01:39Photographer John King was getting prepared to enter the dense forest in search of gorillas
01:44for his next documentary.
01:46However, he was caught off guard as the gorillas approached him through the dense forest.
01:52At the base camp, a family of silverback gorillas encountered King and his team, and
01:58the young and adult gorillas came up close and personal.

02:20When photographer and filmmaker Steve Baxall encountered an unexpected group of visitors,
02:26a pack of wolves, he was astonished.
02:29Wagging their tails and smelling Steve and his colleague, the wolves closed in on them.
02:35Because of their dog-like behavior, one's imagination easily jumps to the conclusion
02:40that the wolves are the forbidden huskies.
02:43My natural reaction would be to run as quickly as possible, but Steve and the crew remained
02:48cool.
02:50Wolves in the wild usually do not pose a threat to humans.
02:54Wolves are very cautious animals that generally avoid contact with humans.
02:59But not to mention, if provoked, wolves are quite unpredictable, and an encounter with
03:04them can turn lethal in a moment.
03:06Fortunately for Steve and his crew, this pack was on a different mission, probably to return
03:11the favor and learn more about humans as well.
03:15The wolves became so friendly that they not only let Steve and his crew pet them, but
03:20they also began howling with him.
03:22That's very cute.
03:24When you watch this encounter, you have to wonder whether this is how our forefathers
03:28domesticated wolves in the Stone Age.
03:31Well, a word of caution, do not attempt this in your local forests.
03:36I don't have to tell you what could happen.
03:38For Steve and his crew, it was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

03:52Meerkats are naturally curious animals.
03:55Scientists and filmmakers have been studying the animals for nearly two decades, which
03:59means they are perfectly comfortable with being photographed.

04:07Like these meerkats, who not only came incredibly close to these two wildlife cameramen, but
04:13even took some mid-afternoon shade just under their buttocks.
04:17Or this meerkat, who climbed onto a cameraman's head and used him as a tall lookout post to
04:23scan for potential predators and look out for its young.
04:28Imagine you are photographing a lion pride from a safe distance one minute, and the next
04:33thing you know, a curious huge lion is near you and sniffing your stuff.
04:38This is the story of when wildlife photographer Graham Springer came across a pride of lions
04:43peacefully roaring in the early morning.
04:46It was simply another day at the office for him.
04:50Underneath his car, he was carefully shooting the lion's morning routine from a distance,
04:55while his colleague filmed and captured a frightening encounter on camera.
05:00One particular lioness took a different route and came freakishly close to him.
05:05Graham did not have enough time to get into his car and had no choice but to stand still
05:10and wait.
05:12The lioness investigated him and his camera gear and left.
05:17It was one of his most nerve-wracking experiences.
05:20Professional photographer Alexey Trofimov had an exciting and rare moment while out
05:25in Lake Peipus in Russia.
05:28Alexey had gone to photograph the frozen wild, as well as the seals throughout the winter.
05:34Alexey had attempted for three years to photograph the seals, but each time they noticed him,
05:39they would disappear into the water beneath the ice.
05:42Fortunately, his three years of patience were rewarded on this day, as this adorable baby
05:48seal not only let Alexey get near to it, but also lie still as he took photos.
05:54The baby seal then lifted one of its flippers, as if to say hello to Alexey, something he
05:59hadn't done at first.
06:02Or it could have been that he was saying goodbye to Alexey before vanishing into the river.

06:08Baby seals are easily frightened and thus are hard to take pictures of, but this particular
06:14baby seal was a special kind.
06:16Photographer Kim decides to take some up-close photographs of this black rhino with the sunset
06:22on the horizon as the background.
06:24The shots are amazing, but what Kim doesn't figure out fast enough is that through the
06:29camera lens objects look a lot further away than they actually are.
06:34Kim is, however, lucky enough to avoid the charging rhino as he dashes into the bushes.
06:40The rhino eventually leaves and Kim is lucky enough to survive the ordeal.
06:45The photos were, however, worth the risk, don't you think?
06:50This other rhino is either photophobic or doesn't want the world to know.
06:55These photographers came too close to the rhino and he didn't like it.
06:59The photographers appear unconcerned about the charging rhino at first, but as the rhino
07:04shows no indication of slowing down, they become frightened.
07:09These enormous tanks are known to charge towards vehicles and even overturn them with their
07:15short horns.
07:16Trespassers are not spared because they are territorial.
07:20Fortunately, the photographers survived and are able to continue their lives, but only
07:25after learning to keep their distance in the future and having a longer set of camera lenses.
07:30A BBC cameraman was headbutted in the balls by an angry sheep and the video went viral
07:37on the Internet.
07:39After filming lions, sharks, snow leopards, gorillas and all kinds of other potentially
07:44dangerous animals, the cameraman may have been a little too trusting of this Cameroon
07:49sheep named Cecil at an animal park.
07:53Users on the Internet wrote some crazy comments on the video when the BBC posted it on their
07:58YouTube channel with the title, Cameraman smacked in the nuts by angry sheep.
08:04One user said, never thought I'd see the BBC use nuts in their video title.
08:10Another one made a joke saying, explain this to your insurance.
08:15Viewers were amused.

09:38Undisturbed, the mother continues resting as Kim goes ahead and even pets one of the
09:44cubs.

09:49It is a fantasy for most of us, but for Kim, it was a tick off his bucket list.
09:54However, do not try this in the wild because of the obvious reason that mother cheetahs

10:12Cheetah photographer Barbara Jensen was filming a lion pride from her group in a 4x4 vehicle
10:18in Botswana's Mashatu Game Reserve when a valuable piece of equipment dropped out of
10:23the vehicle and onto the ground.
10:26As soon as the photographer dropped her expensive camera, a protective lioness jumped up and
10:31moved towards the vehicle to see what was on the ground.
10:35She came so close that Barbara and her crew had no chance to get their camera back and
10:40had to go away from it.
10:42The lioness then snatched up Jensen's camera and telephoto lens in her mouth and carried
10:48it a distance before giving it to her cubs, who then pounced on their new toy and began
10:53playing with it.
10:55They then dragged it through the dirt, chewed on the lens hood and then, fortunately, like
11:00most kids, soon grew tired with their new toy and left it behind.
11:05After retrieving her abandoned camera, Jensen found it was working perfectly aside from
11:10teeth marks across the surface.
11:13Because it was only aesthetic damage, she never had it repaired.

11:21a lion's mouth?
11:24Lions are often referred to as the kings of the jungle, symbolizing their strength and
