00:30The Broken Heart by Aaron Chan.
01:00For my chosen family who are always there to mend my broken heart.
01:27A.C. Stephanie loved to fix broken things, toys gizmos and gadgets items worn and torn.
01:36The best part was watching the fixed thing work again.
01:40One day, Stephanie's older brother Cody, walked in slowly like he was underwater.
01:46He plopped on the couch and sighed.
01:49Stephanie had never seen him like that before so she asked him what was the matter.
01:55Someone has broken my heart.
01:58He replied.
02:00How can a heart break, she asked.
02:03Her brother looked at her with misty eyes.
02:06It happens when someone you love doesn't love you anymore.
02:10Can a heart be fixed?
02:13Stephanie asked.
02:15When your heart breaks it shatters and the pieces fly away to places that were special to you and your loved one.
02:22If you go to those places it hurts even more Cody said.
02:27Can you get the pieces and fix your heart?
02:30Stephanie asked her brother.
02:33I want to, but I feel too heavy to move he replied.
02:37Seeing her brother like that made Stephanie sad.
02:41Then, she had an idea.
02:44I will help find the pieces and fix your broken heart.
02:48She declared.
02:50First, Stephanie went to Cody's high school.
02:54She wandered around everywhere but did not see anything that looked like a broken heart.
03:00What would it even look like?
03:03In a classroom, she asked a teacher.
03:06Excuse me, have you seen a piece of a broken heart?
03:10I bet you're Cody's sister.
03:13The teacher said.
03:15Why are you looking for that?
03:18My brother's heart is broken and I told him I would help him fix it.
03:23The teacher nodded.
03:25Cody and his boyfriend met in my class.
03:29They were always together at school.
03:32The teacher took out of her desk a piece of seed glass.
03:36I found this in Cody's old desk.
03:39She said.
03:41She handed it to Stephanie.
03:43Tell your brother it will be okay.
03:46The teacher said.
03:48My heart has been broken now and then too.
03:52He'll learn to love again but it takes time.
03:55Next, Stephanie went to her brother's favorite movie theater.
04:00She wandered around everywhere but did not see anything that looked like a broken heart.
04:06In a screening room, she asked a worker.
04:10Have you seen a piece of a broken heart?
04:13The worker said, Hi Stephanie.
04:16I'm Cody's friend from down the street.
04:19Why are you looking for that?
04:22My brother's heart is broken and I told him that I would help him fix it.
04:27Cody's friend nodded.
04:30Cody and his boyfriend had their first date in this cinema.
04:34They were always hanging out here together.
04:38The friend reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of seed glass.
04:43I found this on the floor when I was sweeping up.
04:46He handed it to Stephanie.
04:49Tell your brother it will be okay.
04:52The friend said.
04:54My heart has been broken occasionally too.
04:57Eventually he'll enjoy remembering the moments they had together, but it takes time.
05:03Next, Stephanie went down to the beach another place Cody loved.
05:08She wandered and wandered but did not find anything.
05:12Excuse me.
05:14She said to a lifeguard.
05:16I am looking for a piece of a broken heart.
05:20The lifeguard looked down at her.
05:23You must be Cody's sister.
05:25I've seen the two of you together here.
05:28Why are you looking for that?
05:31My brother's heart is broken and I told him that I would help him fix it.
05:37The lifeguard nodded.
05:39Cody and his boyfriend came here a lot.
05:43They loved swimming and eating ice cream.
05:46The lifeguard reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of seed glass.
05:51I found this on the beach at their favorite spot.
05:54She handed it to Stephanie.
05:57Tell your brother it will be okay.
06:00The lifeguard said.
06:02My heart was broken last year.
06:05After a while he'll find other fish in the sea, but it takes home.
06:10There was only one piece of Cody's broken heart that was still missing.
06:15Stephanie went to the library and wandered through the stacks but did not find anything.
06:21Outside, she saw Cody's ex-boyfriend Roberto.
06:25Excuse me.
06:27He said.
06:29I am looking for a piece of a broken heart.
06:33Hello Stephanie.
06:35He said.
06:36Why are you looking for that?
06:39My brother's heart is broken and I need to fix it.
06:43He nodded.
06:45Yes I know.
06:47We break up here.
06:49He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of seed glass.
06:53I found this yesterday.
06:56He didn't hand it to Stephanie.
06:58I want to keep this to remember him.
07:01Roberto said.
07:03But Cody is very sad.
07:06I want to help him.
07:08Stephanie told him.
07:10Don't you want to help him too?
07:13Roberto looked at the piece for a moment, then gave it to Stephanie.
07:18Tell your brother that I didn't mean to make him sad and I'm very sorry he said.
07:24Sometimes love doesn't work out, but he will always be someone special to me.
07:30At last, the heart looked like it was fixed, but then Stephanie spotted a tiny tiny hole in the very middle.
07:38One piece was still missing.
07:41Stephanie had no idea where it could be.
07:44She took the heart to her brother who was still slumped on the sofa.
07:49Cody, I found all the pieces except one.
07:53He looked at the heart and smiled.
07:56Thank you Stephanie.
07:58He said.
08:00Cody reached into his pocket and took out a tiny tiny silver of seed glass.
08:06Slowly, he pushed it into the middle of the heart.
08:10The heart was whole again.
08:12Cody didn't move.
08:14Could you hold on to my heart?
08:17It will take a while before I can use it again.
08:20He said.
08:22Stephanie thought and thought.
08:25Finally she told him.
08:27Many people get broken hearts.
08:30You learn to love again.
08:32You'll enjoy remembering the moments you had together, and you'll find other fish in the sea.
08:38But it takes time.
08:52The end.
