00:00I'm in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, along with the rest of my high school senior class
00:04on a spiritual field trip during the winter break.
00:06We spent the last few days traveling across the different holy cities in Iraq, including
00:11Samarra and Najaf, and today we'll be visiting one of Iraq's many orphanages, providing
00:16a safe space for those who don't have any adults left to care for them.
00:20This school is 95% of the orphans, and this is a very special school which is run by the
00:29father of the Imam of the Saints, Hadam.
00:32May Allah's peace and blessings be upon you.
00:34May Allah's peace and blessings be upon you.
00:42I got to speak to these beautiful kids, mashallah, faces full of light.
00:46They were asking me about where I was from, where the kids are from, and one of the kids
00:50made me cry.
00:51He was like, hey, when you go to Masumah, please pray for us, make the ayah, it was
00:54unbelievable.
01:00We're at the orphanage.
01:02Right now we're going to be playing soccer.
01:04It's going to be a fun time.
01:06They look like pretty good.
01:07Who's winning?
01:08Our friends are winning, brother.
01:11I have no money on us.
01:12No money.
01:13It's all, I have a thousand bucks on me.
01:15With the green team competing against the yellow team, we were ready to begin the soccer game.
01:29Come on, come on, come on.
01:40The goal they made, that was a legit goal.
01:42I wasn't letting that through.
01:43But before that, I wasn't taking them seriously.
01:45Overall, the match was disappointing from our end, but really good on their end.
01:48We didn't do that good.
01:49But, it's about respect, it's about sportsmanship.
01:54Cheers!
01:57After taking some group pictures, we handed out candies before visiting the inside of
02:02the orphanage.
02:12The population of A35, 30 million, 1.5 million orphaned children.
02:19Hundreds of thousands of children, they left out, with no structure.
02:25That's why one of the key services now is orphanage.
02:42What we didn't realize is that during the soccer game, the girls were having a balga
02:46party in the other campus.
02:47With Molana already invited, we headed up to check it out.
02:50It's a balga party, it's a party!
02:54Cheers!
03:15We came here to visit a group of orphans.
03:17They have a school here.
03:19We played a soccer game with them.
03:22It was a tie.
03:23Alhamdulillah.
03:24Best way to finish it up.
03:25And we came up, we had a little celebration, they had a cake, everything.
03:30It was really fun.
03:31All of them lined up.
03:32Alhamdulillah, it was a great experience.
03:34Great seeing all of the orphans line up.
03:36Yeah, amazing experience.
03:38If you can, be sure to donate to help orphans around the world.
