00:00Hey guys, if you find yourself in Japan in summer you might notice these huge fans blowing
00:08across the entrance to the store.
00:11Now of course the convenience stores are air-conditioned, quite comfy inside and it's really really
00:16hot outside, so blowing a huge fan across the entrance would seem like an odd thing
00:22to do.
00:23And only in summer, usually you don't see it in winter.
00:27So why?
00:28Why do they do that?
00:29Well, apparently we've asked staff at a number of different convenience stores why is the
00:35fan at the entrance, and they tell us it's to help stop insects entering the store.
00:40So when the door opens, to stop bugs flying inside, apparently if there's a good breeze
00:46across the front it discourages bugs.
00:49So it reduces the number of bugs that get into convenience stores.
00:53Is that interesting?
00:55Anyway, there was that.
00:57More videos, coming soon.
