NI and Liverpool footballer Conor Bradley supports Share the Road to Zero campaign
Transcript
00:00I'm Conor Bradley and I play for Northern Ireland and Liverpool FC,
00:03but while I might be fast on the pitch, I would urge people to slow down on the roads.
00:07The Share the Road to Zero campaign aims to reduce road death to zero by encouraging us
00:12to take more responsibility and care. More than one quarter of all speed
00:16offences last year involved young drivers. Road traffic collisions can be totally devastating,
00:22and sadly the number of people who have lost their lives on the roads has risen.
00:26More than nine out of ten collisions are due to human error. We can all try to be more careful,
00:31watch our speed, stay off our mobiles and make sure we never take drink or drugs on drive.
00:37I'm putting my full support behind the campaign and I hope I encourage others to think about
00:41our behaviours on the road. I want to thank the AFA and Conor Bradley for supporting our Share
00:46the Road to Zero campaign. Conor Bradley is a role model on the pitch and off the pitch,
00:51and is appealing to us all, young and old, to ensure everything we do on the road
00:56ensures that you arrive home safely and those you share the road arrive home safely.
01:01Support Conor, support the Share the Road to Zero campaign.
