00:00Hi, I'm Christie Talbot and for the last few days I have been hosting the Celebrity Chat Show stage at the Great Caravan Motorhome and Holiday Home Show.
00:09And one of my special guests is the amazing Dogfather, Graham Hall, star of Channel 5's Dogs Behaving Very Badly.
00:16And we've had some good fun, haven't we?
00:18We have had some great fun!
00:19We've been on stage together, haven't we, doing a couple of talks a day, telling a few long tales and all the rest of it.
00:26The audience has been wonderful, haven't they?
00:28It's been standing room only. Everybody loves them and you're here again tomorrow as well for two shows.
00:34It's been bonkers busy, hasn't it?
00:36It's been absolutely... 26,000 people over three days have come here. What do you think of it all?
00:42It's great, isn't it? I mean, it's amazing how many people are into motorhomes in particular these days.
00:48Because you can take your dog with you.
00:50So loads of the people I talk to who have got a motorhome can bring its own problems sometimes.
00:55Let's watch this footage and I don't know what I'll be able to tell you.
00:58So it's literally just chatting to people here and I love how the percentage of people who've got dogs is through the roof.
01:05And we had loads of dogs in the audience and they were really well behaved.
01:08I think they knew they were in the presence of the Dogfather.
01:11But you had lots of tips for them as well, which was great.
01:13Yeah, we've done a little Q&A session, haven't we?
01:15So you never know what questions people are going to ask.
01:18Although there has been a theme today, hasn't there?
01:21Not very nice. My dog eats poo.
01:25So yeah, I'll answer any questions and you never know what people are going to ask.
01:30It's always great.
01:31And we're doing it all again tomorrow.
01:32We are, absolutely.
01:33So thank you very much. We'll look forward to it. Thank you.
01:35Including my guest now, Siobhan Daniels, known as the Retirement Rebel.
01:41It's lovely to have you with us, Siobhan.
01:43Now, your story is so interesting.
01:45You basically changed your whole life, didn't you, when you reached retirement age.
01:49Your career in the media. Tell me what happened.
01:52I basically felt broken in my mid-fifties.
01:55I was struggling with family bereavement, the menopause, feeling voiceless, marginalised in work.
02:02And I just wanted to find my happy place and a different way of living.
02:05And so I thought to myself, what can I do to find my happy place?
02:09And like any sensible person, I thought, I know.
02:12Get rid of my home, get rid of my possessions and get a motor home.
02:15As you do.
02:16I mean, it was a very extreme way of doing it.
02:18But you simplified your life and you've been on the road and you've written all about it.
02:22You've got a book out, podcast, Retirement Rebel, which is fascinating and has been fascinating.
02:28All our people who've been here sitting in the audience for the last two days and we've one more day to go.
02:33What do you think about this whole event?
02:35I think it's just incredible.
02:37Everybody's been so friendly.
02:39There's thousands of people and yet there's room for everybody to go around, see the stores.
02:44The different kind of motor homes and holiday homes that you can walk into.
02:49Each one I keep going, wow, wow.
02:52I mean, I love Dora the Explorer, my motor home.
02:54But I would say to anybody, if you're thinking of getting a van or a holiday home or a caravan,
03:00get yourself down here to this show because there's so much to see and you can make your mind up.
03:05It's better to sort of try before you buy, go in, sit down, feel what it's like.
03:10And then there's loads of stores.
03:12I've bought a gorgeous pair of earrings.
03:14Not these ones, but I've bought a gorgeous pair of earrings.
03:16And there's loads of things that you can buy.
03:18So you're picking up tips for your own experiences as you're going along.
03:21So it's obviously a great way.
03:23Or even if you're just curious about taking that route and buying a motor home or a caravan for the first time.
03:28I'm learning a lot.
03:29And I don't have a motor home, but it's really exciting.
03:31And I've been amazed.
03:33Not yet.
03:3426,000 people have been here and they're going to be here over the whole weekend.
03:37So lots to look forward to.
03:39And I'll be chatting to you again tomorrow.
03:42It's my absolute pleasure. I'm loving it.
03:44Great.
