00:36The storm's intensity in Hainan had weakened by Saturday, but it left behind flooded streets
00:41and scattered fallen tree branches.
00:44Clean-up operations are now underway.
00:46Yagi, with maximum sustained winds of 234 kilometers per hour near its center, is registered
00:53as the world's second most powerful tropical cyclone in 2024 so far.
00:58After hitting China, Yagi is also expected to make landfall in northern Vietnam late
01:03on Saturday.
