00:00The Office of Civil Defense, or OCD, is strengthening its Disaster Risk Reduction
00:04and Management, or DRRM, partnership with Japan. On the 3rd of September,
00:10Japanese officials paid a courtesy call on OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Depomuseno
00:16to discuss DRRM systems and practices, including briefings on earthquake and volcanic eruption
00:23preparedness. The Japanese delegation is in the country for the Japan-Philippines
00:28Humanitarian and Disaster Response Cooperation Project 2024, and the OCD is also partnering
00:35with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, or JAICA, on DRRM capacity building.
