00:07Rich Homie Kwon, a rapper known for hits that include Type of Way and Flex,

00:13suddenly passed away on Thursday.

00:16He was 34 years old.

00:18A rep for the Fulton County morgue told TMZ that the artist is believed to have died in his home in Atlanta,

00:28Kwon's family later confirmed the tragic news,

00:31telling the outlet they are shattered and heartbroken by the rapper's untimely passing. At this time,

00:38no details regarding the cause or manner of Kwon's death have been revealed.

00:42Kwon, born DeQuantes Devontay Lamar, first rose to fame with his 2013 song Type of Way,

00:50which was followed by two hit singles in 2015,

00:54Flex and Ride Out. He was also known for collaborating with Young Thug as part of the group Rich Gang.
